hi all
have an n78. when you go into messages can i add an option of delete all messages, it's a pain doing one by one
Options > Mark/Unmark > Mark all
Press "C".
Confirm.
Done.

I want to delete all my bookmarks/favourites with on push of a button not individually.
In the past I found a way to delete all the bookmarks at once to clean out the registry but can't remember how I did it and can't seem to find it in help. There must be an easier way rather than one by one. The deleting bookmarks section in help pages doesn't do it. I run Vista home premium
Thank you.To reset the bookmarks to the handful of default bookmarks that come with a new installation, start Firefox in [[safe mode|Firefox safe mode]], then in the first dialog box that appears select the option "Delete all bookmarks except for backups" then click "Make Changes and Restart". All of your Firefox bookmarks will be deleted, but your browsing history will still be intact.

when will there be a select all/delete all option in Emails? I have a large number of emails that come to my phone which i dont want to delete from my outlook mail account (On my PC). However, i want to be able to search, select all and delete these emails from my phone? I do not use ICloud either as it causes issues with my calendars at work.
These features should be a standard as there are plenty of other users out there that are trying to do the same thing and as yet there has been no progress? The email on the iphone is one of the biggest downfalls of the phone, blackberry and android handle them much better, but i dont have an option with my phone at work. Please help??No one here would have any idea when or if such a feature would be introduced until and unless Apple announces it.

I recently updated my iphone 5 to IOS 8.0.2 and now it wont turn on it just says to connect to itunes and when i do the only option it gives me is to restore iphone because it is in "recovery mode". It says it will delete all my media but i didn't do a back up and i don't want to lose my photos, what should i do? (I never used iCloud to back them up either).
If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?

I have Iphone 5 and have an issue with deleting part of the messages in Imessage conversation. The trash button is not displayed to delete part of the imessage. I see only delete all option. Is it a bug?

If you are having issues deleting a specific message from an iMessage conversation (not seeing the Trash icon), you may want to double-check that you are following the steps outlined in the following article:
How do I delete a message?
To delete a message, tap and hold the message bubble, then tap More.
Tap Delete All to delete all the messages. Or tap to select the messages you want to delete, then tap .
After you delete a message, you can recover it only by restoring from a backup.

Why can I no longer delete specific messages on my iphone5? There now is only an option to Delete All i.e. the entire conversation. Can this be resolved.
I don't know what to tell you if you really are running iOS 5 but on iOS 8 when you hold down a message you get the options Copy and More. When you click more you can select a specific message and click the trash can to delete just that message. Check and see if you have that as an option.

Is it possible for deleting all the apps from the appstore which are showing up in the apps not on my phone section. Before I was able to delete them from itunes but now I am not able to find that option.

The 'x' might not show on their top left corner (it might be invisible), but clicking where it should be should hide the app. -
everytime i link my iphone up to my laptop the message 'welcome to your new iphone' with the option restore from back up or new iphone. i once did restore from back up and it deleted all my recent pictures, music etc. how can i get pass this stage?

All sorted! dont suppose you know how to fix another problem I have??? for weeks now, since updating to ios5 I think, for some reason every time I have tried to log onto app store it says CANNOT CONNECT TO ITUNES STORE. It's nothing to do with my computer, and I've been to the Geniius bar but they couldnt help and nothing I seem to do lets me update my Apps and even worse, I cant even buy any more. Any suggestions?

I'm running Windows 7 and iTunes (and the other Apple programs) wouldn't automatically update. Went through all the options and finally had to delete all Apple files and re-download iTunes. Worked fine, until the next update. Is there a glitch in the system? Does someone know of some proprietory block (I think it is related to Quicktime)? Also, once I re-downloaded everything, cleaned everything up, and deleted duplicate files, I closed down my computer. When I re-started it, iTunes was "brand new" -- all of my music, organization, tagging, etc. was gone and had to start over. Idea?
Ok, so after like 4 days of going through all these different issues, I figured out that several programs weren't downloading, and it was an issue with my wireless connectivity messing up the digital signatures, so if you plug in your comp to the modem and delete your temp files, it should start to work!

How can I empty my trash email. There is no delete or delete all option after the emails are highlighted from the edit option. This is on an i phone 4 running on ios 7.1.2
I have 7 email accounts on my phone. If I tap EDIT while viewing the Trash folder in any of them I see "Mark All" on the left and "Delete All" on the right. If you tap any message, however, the legends go away.

So here's my problem. I just used the "reset all settings" option, and accidentaly restored an old backup. It deleted all my photos and contacts, but for some reason I still have all the apps from after the backup date,and it also kept the notes from after the backup. The "reset all settings" option clearly says no loss of data or media, so I don't understand why some stuff got deleted. My question is, is there a way to get it back?
If you still can find a recent backup listed in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices, use this one to restore from.
If there are no recent backups listed, your data is gone. Only if you included the iTunes backup folder into your computer backup routine, you could be able to restore this folder and find one of your latest backups listed again.

Hi, Just came across your post here, I've only just encountered the very same thing. Seemed a good idea at first to have a backup of deleted programs, but yes, you are so right, trying to free up space or, as in my case, following the recommendation from Sky to permanently remove all deleted content in an effort to rectify a glitchy planner, yeah right! This will take an age!The only current way around this, and it is only to be used as a last measure, is to perform a complete system re-set! But remember, doing so will delete EVERYTHING and basically you end up with the box as it was from new! Then you simply start again with setting your reminders and favourites etc. If anyone goes down this route, just try and get in the habit of EVERYTIME you delete something, go straight into the deleted tab on your box and permanently delete it from there, now you will never end up with such a list to have to delete individually again!I know that this is an extreme measure to take to accomplish what should be much quicker, but until Sky release an update to the Sky options that would enable a multi delete option, this is about as good as it gets, otherwise be prepared for a very long spell of sitting there button pushing. Delete All option missing in iOS 7
I am trying to "Delete All" SMS to free up space and improve my iphone4 performance . The option is missing in ios 7.1.2 .
Though still one can select by user/search by set of messages and "Delete All"conversation , a blanket "Delete All" SMS is missing in ios 7 .
I remember it being available with older OS versions .Can someone respond if this option is available ? or if not , is Apple trying to re(institute) part of the next OS update ? Any help on this is appreciated .As far as I can remember from my 3GS days to now my 5S there was never an option to delete all in SMS - or one that I can recollect.
You'll have to delete each message thread one by one.
I'm glad there is no option to delete all message - otherwise we would have a bunch of threads about accidentally delete all message how do I get it back, then blaming Apple for a oversight or flaw.

No "delete all" option for texts on 5800 Xpress Mu...
Am I just blind, i thought this was standard on all phones (all the ones i've had before have had it). I have to delete each text and message one by one which is tedious at best, is there a delete all option for the inbox/outbox that i'm just missing somewhere?
