Option to Forward with Attachments

I used to forward email with the attachments but now it's not working and the option to select "forward with attachments" doesn't come up. Any ideas?

I would say, anytime programs start to act up on you on the phone...try a true reboot. Normally fixes glitches.
A reset/reboot is:
Go to Home Screen
Press and Hold Home Button
Keep holding and press and hold Lock Button
Keep holding Both
You will see Slide to Turn Off (Don't let go to slide, just keep holding)
The phone will turn off (in time, but screen will look like it has some white lines)
Keep Holding
When you see the Apple Logo, you can let go.
Turning off via the Slide to Turn off while good and fine to turn off, is more like the Sleep Mode on a computer. Thus any locked up issues in memory remain when you turn back on. A reboot as described is like doing a real Turn off and Turn On on a computer.

  • Forward WITH Attachments..Is this possible?

Using Mac Mail, everything seems to be OK, except when i receive an email with attachments (like pictures) and try to forward this email to friends, the attachment is NOT there - i can send the email "AS" an attachment, but that is a pain... shouldn't i be able to simply hit "forward" and the attachments should be in that mail? Is it a simple setting i am missing? Thanks

    Steven,
With the original message open, click on Message in the menubar, and choose Send Again. Does the resulting Compose window contain the attachments and message in an expected fashion?
Again with the original message open, click on View in the menubar, place the cursor over Message, and choose Long Headers. Examine the Long Headers -- does it tell you the email client with which the message was prepared and sent?

There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage.   There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon.

  • I am using a mac mini (10.8.3) with Mac Mail 6.3 (1503).  Whenever I try to forward an email with attachments, the attachments do not make it.  They show being sent, but the attachments never are sent.

    Hey Guys,
The title says it all.  Whenever I receive an email with attachments, I will try to forward the email to someone with the attachments.  Mac Mail shows that the attachments are attached, but the receiver says the attachments are not there. Our mail host is Rackspace.  We are setup with IMAP.  It should be noted that we are experiencing similar issues with OS 10.5.8 with Mac Mail 3.6 (936).
We assumed Rackspace was the problem, so we logged into their webmail portal and tested it and the attachments were received as normal, which points everything back to Mac Mail.  We even had an ISP change but the problem do not change.
I have researched the problem, and there seems to be evidence of this being a known bug with Mac Mail, but I am hoping there is a workaround.  The company is unwilling to move to a different mail client since they use Daylite 4, which does not support Thunderbird.

    Back up all data.
    1. Triple-click the line below to select it:
    ~/Library/Mail/Bundles
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder may open, or you may get an error message that the item can't be found. Either result is normal. If the folder does open and has contents, move the contents to the Desktop. Relaunch Mail and test. If there's no change, put the contents of the folder back and quit Mail again.
    2. Repeat with this line:
    /Library/Mail/Bundles
This time you may be prompted for your login password when you remove the items. Make sure they're removed from the folder and not just copied to the Desktop. If necessary, copy them first and then move the originals to the Trash.

  • I receive and e-mail with attachments but when I forward them, the attachments are smaller. how to fix this?

I receive e-mails with attachments, but when I forward them the attachments are reduced in size.  What do I need to do to have them forwarded the same size as I received them?

If the attachments are photos, when you forward them, look on the bottom right of your compose window, change to "actual size".  It's probably set to small as displayed here:

  • Problem When Forwarding Email Attachments / Email With Attachments

I posted a response in a related thread that describes my problem, but have found no solution so I thought I should create a new thread and solicit direct advice for this issue.
I sync 2 (sometimes 3) Yahoo Email accounts to my iPhone 4. Due to firewall issues at work accessing 'personal email', I often email myself files as attachments, then forward them to others using my iPhone. Having recently upgraded from iPhone 3G to 4, now when I forward an email with attachments, the attachments get zapped to 0B and effectively do not forward. It may show an icon or have the file, but it's an empty file. I always select "Include Attachments" when it asks, but the functionality is not working the way it is supposed to.
I've tried forwarding .xls .doc and .zip files so far. Even a small 180kB file won't forward.
The only exception seems to be if I click the attachment, let it fully download, then forward the email. That works for 'standard' types of files, but I didnt have to do this step in the previous iOS, so I am wondering - Is that normal now?
What about other types of files besides office and adobe? If the iPhone doesn't have support for me to view the file on my phone, I can't "download" it before forwarding. Example is a zip file. It shows as a "?" in my email, so I cant download it, so when I forward it it kills the attachment.
Regardless what the phone supports to view, if I just want to forward an email from the server along to someone else, it should have the freakin' attachments! This doesn't seem to be the case for all situations though.
Would seriously appreciate a confirmation others have this issue (go ahead, try to send yourself a zip file and then just forward it back to your PC) and any solutions that might explain how to correct this problem. Maybe there's a server setting or another way of setting up the email accounts that would fix it.
    Thanks all

Being able to forward as an attachment would be such a useful feature. Forward as in-line text works but this is no good if you want to retain the original email headers or smime content.
One prime example is the use of SpamCop.net where you need to be able to send the original mail (including headers) for SPAM processing. Forward as attachment is the easiest way to do this.
Come on Apple, please help us, without the "Forward as Attachment" it make it difficult for us to quickly report SPAM or forward documents. Can it really be that hard to implement?

  • Forwarded emails with attachments not showing email thread history

    Hi,
My boss has a Mac laptop and forwards me emails for me to action. When the emails have attachments the email thread history doesn't come along with the email, so all the conversation leading up to the email being forwarded. It just shows what he has written and stops at the signature.
When an email is forwarded without attachments the thread history is included. We've done some testing and it's specific to him and his Mac.
Sorry I don't have a mac laptop myself so don't know a lot of details about what he uses but can find out information that is important to solving the issue.
I've had a good look but can't find any setting on his Mac to change this, any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, Simon

Still love any advice on this issue if anyone can help????
    Thanks

  • Encoding problem when forwarding mails with attachments using exchange account

    Hi,
I'm facing a special misbehaviour of mail. Scenario: With Apple Mail 7.2 I would like to forward an exchange mail with attachments. The mail is wirtten in german and uses german special characters like äüöÄÖÜ. During editing the mail everything is ok which means all characters are shown in thte correct way. When I send the mail, something magic must happen in the background.
When I look in the sent mail folder and open the mail, all special characters are show as "?". Must be an encoding problem, I gues but I don't know how to fix it.
When I send exactly the same mail with another Apple mail account (non exchange), there is no problem. So I assume it has something to do with handling exchange accounts under Apple mail.
Any idea to solve this issue? Thanks in advance.
    Br,
    Jakob

This is a know issue with Yahoo! Email on the iPhone. When sending email, sometimes it will say it has been sent, while it really has not (and it will not show up in the sent folder).
It has been discussed quite a bit in the forums, so a search will turn up a lot of discussion, but no solid solution. Some say Yahoo is working on a fix, other that Apple is.
The most common solution (which is usually temporary), is to either reboot your phone, and/or delete and reinstall your Yahoo! Mail account on your phone.

  • Why does an email sent from an iPad or iPhone to ms outlook appear with attachments? Example signatures tend to be broken down into a series of unwanted attachments!

Why does an email sent from an iPad or iPhone to ms outlook appear with attachments? Example: signatures at the bottom of the mail tend to be broken down into a series of unwanted attachments!

It worked for me. I took a picture with the iPhone's camera. Then opened the Photos app and selected the picture, and emailed it from one of my IMAP accounts to my gmail (also IMAP) account. When it showed up in the gmail inbox (on my iPhone), I forwarded it to my yahoo mail account (choosing the "inlcude attachments" option). When that showed up on my iPhone's yahoo inbox, the picture was there just as it should be.
So I guess the next thing would be to try it with non-iPhone pictures to see if it is a problem with image size or something. I have some 6-megapixel images in iPhoto I can try (taken as RAW/DEC format pictures with my dSLR).
Just tried it sending a Photo from my computer's iPhoto library - picture is 728KB, 2272x1704 jpeg. I emailed it to my gmail account, and it showed up on the iPhone just fine. Then I forwarded that to my yahoo account and again, it showed up just fine on both the iPhone and reading my yahoo mail via the web page.
Don't know what to say - I don't mean this to be just another "works for me" post. I was hoping to see something maybe depending on the size and origin of the picture.
By the way, my 3GS shipped with 3.0.1 on it, and I've updated it via iTunes normally to 3.1.1 and currently 3.1.2. Sorry I don't have anything constructive to add.

  • Mial Package with Attachments

    Hi All,
We have setup the mail package and created the appropriate message maps where we now send emails out from XI for certain message types. This works great but we want to also send document attachments with our current message. If I check the keep attachments option on the mail package the outputted email tries to put the attachment in the body of the email and the original body text into an email attachment. This is completely reverse of what I am trying to do. I looked through several threads and used Michal Krawczyk's blog to get this far.
I noticed the documentation had this to say, "If you have selected XIPAYLOAD as the message protocol and you want to forward XI attachments in the e-mail attachments, select Keep Attachments. You use the PayloadSwapBean module to swap the application payload with one of the attachments."
I tried a couple of options for the PayloadSwapBean but my results never changed. I could have several attachments so I can't hard code what attachment type or extension.

Looks like I am getting close:
I have the following in my dynamic configuration now in SXMB_MONI:
    <SAP:DynamicConfiguration xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
      <SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail" name="THeaderFROM">[email protected]</SAP:Record>
      <SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail" name="THeaderTO">[email protected]</SAP:Record>
<SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail" name="THeaderSUBJECT">The attachments for PO are included in this email.</SAP:Record>
      </SAP:DynamicConfiguration>
The MDT gives me the following error when trying to send email: Mail: error occurred: java.io.IOException: no sender address specified

  • 8900 Curve - Forwarding email attachments

I am currently experiencing problems forwarding emails with attachments - If I receive an email with attachments and wish to forward to another email address, the recipient only receives the main body of the email - not the attachments - I can open the attachments on my handset without any problems
    Anyone any ideas??

    Hi there!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
    1) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
    2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS conduits for the affected email accounts.

If anyone has been helpful to you, please show your appreciation by clicking the button inside of their post. Please click here and read, along with the threads to which it links, for helpful information to guide you as you proceed. Hi ,
There is an option of embedding index for faster search while converting email to a PDF .
However I am not sure that will serve your purpose or not .
I would recommend you to get in touch with Microsoft support as well .
Meanwhile I'll work on it and get back to you in case I get a desired solution .

  • How do I save mail in rich/plain text with attachments?

I installed Mavericks last night and see (as I expected) that the save mail with attachments in rich text or plain text function in Mail is still broken, as it was with Mountain Lion for the whole of its life, even through updates. Anyone know how to fix this if Apple won't?

    Hi,
Currently we send emal notifications as html format by default. but you can change it as plain tex or rich text when you forward or reply the email.
OR you can use this form to "vote" on popular feature requests, or to add a new one of your own:

  • PC T'bird users having trouble with my Mail e-mail with attachments

Lately a couple of co-workers have had bizarre troubles with e-mail I've sent them with attachments. I'm using Mail on a Mac (10.5.8), they're using Thunderbird on PCs. When I've sent them attachments ("Windows-friendly," attached at end of e-mail), they haven't been able to e-mail me via Reply . . . their font is changed to white on white. Occasionally their whole application will hang, and one person had to do a hard reboot. Only other relevant detail I have is that the mail I send them originates as Stationery, and some of the text is colored. I'm currently working to narrow down the variables, but if that "white on white" issue rings a bell immediately to anyone, I'd be very curious to hear about it.
    Mucho thanko.
    Rob

After a series of tests with the Thunderbird users, we've established the problem was not:
    Mail/Thunderbird incompatibility
    related to Mail's stationery
    related to styled text
    only because of attachments
    only because of PDF attachments
Both users had the trouble after I forwarded PDFs to them from two different outside suppliers. So far, my theory is that there was something about those particular files. After five run-throughs where the co-workers had no problems with e-mail from me, I now want to replicate the problem, but (understandably) they're not eager to lose their work time to do it. I'll post more as I learn more.
Thanks, BDAqua for the ideas about blank lines around the attachment.
