Option to have cookies be removed when a tab is closed.

I frequently have firefox running for long periods of times, often days. Thus clearing cookies on exit is a nice idea but not really cutting it. In particular for social media and other sites which can be a bit nefarious.
It would be a great feature if it was possible to control cookie behavior by tab and site. So for instance, you could have a preference 'delete cookies set by open tabs when they are closed'. That might be too agressive for some people so would also suggest the ability to tag within the cookie privacy settings specific sites for which this action applies. Thus a user could tag a handful of the worst offenders to be cleaned out whenever the tab they are using is closed. Of course, that pref would need to survive any 'delete all cookies' operation so as not to have to set it every time.
Obviously, this is a feature request. If there is a better place for those, I was unable to find.

I sympathize with your concern to remove cookies from social networking. But I would also encourage you, for your own protection, to close the browser frequently, never leave it unattended for hours, and to learn to enter your banking, credit card, etc. passwords instead of leaving them for easy lookup by anyone who writes a script on your computer.
Yes, it's a bit more work, but soooooo much more secure, both for your identity, your money, and your computer health. Also, install and learn to use NoScript addon. Running on Firefox, it's the best thing since sliced bread!
