Option to Hide from Strangers

My purpose with this post today, to ask for the option to privatize everything that is currently showing publicly in skype (an option that is not yet available, but I hope someday will be added to a future update to skype).
I have read numerous posts revolving around this same issue. One repeated solution is not a solid work-around, this is the solution I quote from Elaine:

Following the suggestion, I have removed all information I can remove. I have set all settings to "contacts only" that can be set to such. I cannot change my avatar because I cannot save changes (without adding my last name, which is currently blank). I have left everything blank that I can leave blank. I have been contacted three times after I have made these changes, as suggested.
Earlier today (on my main skype acct, not this one), I got an IM "are you online?" from someone who is not on my contacts list. That IM shouldn't even come in when I have my settings to only allow contacts to send IM's. This glitch is not my concern, and wouldn't be an issue if I could hide myself from public searchs.
That IM was the second stranger to try to contact me today. I've only had four strangers like this so far, started two weeks ago, and the frequency between these strangers attempting to contact me is increasing. One of my friends says he gets about 50 of these bots a week, FIFTY A WEEK! He blocks and reports each one, but his time is VERY precious, and very limited and he shouldn't have to bother with this. If only he could hide his skype acct from searches.
I cannot change my profile because the "Edit Profile" refuses to save unless I add a last name. Lucky for me, when I created years ago, I left everything blank that was not a required field (at the time, Last Name was not required). So for the suggestion to leave stuff blank and set everything to contacts only: Check check and check (except the picture and first name, because I cannot change those) and I am still contacted.
I do not like complete strangers being able to find me, and send contact requests. I just do not want this to be happening. The inability to hide myself from the public is unnaceptable! I want to hide my skype account from the public (I created this side account just to post on these publicly viewed forums, keeping my main account as hidden as possible).
I know, I know there is no "current" option to hide these fields of information that contain stuff the Public can see... but Skype programmers can change that, and give us the option for completely private profiles! Come on, look at all the threads regarding this! Forum Moderatos tell us to "not fill in the fields", and block and report any of these fishy contacts.... but your customers cannot create an account without putting in our first and last name, which ends up being Public, and unhidable. This is just absurd!
Something has to be changed. There's many of us who do not want to bother with blocking and reporting a dozen people EVERY DAY. Some of us are busy people, and need skype for what we do. Many of us do not want to bother trying to figure out "if" this new contact request is a future business associate, or some pervert who wants to boast about their body, or worse, blackmail us with pictures. We (the customer) shouldn't have to deal with these fakers several times every day. Just give us the option to hide ourselves, so these fakers can't find us.
We want preventative measures that work! We want to prevent strangers from finding us in searches. Block and report tactics are not good enough! Leaving our profiles blank (deleting as much as we can) is not a solid solution, nor a solid work around, because they can still contact us!
Please consider that not everyone wants to be found by strangers, especially strangers who use copy and paste to say they find you interesting (then proceed to elaborate on their attractive body parts).
This... this ability for robots and liars to find us has got to stop. Please give your customers the option to privatize all of our information, the option to completely hide us from public searches, the option to completely hide us from the fake people who just want to trick us!
Stop the suffering and time wasting of good people. Give us a way to hide ourselves from these robots, so they can never find us people who do not want to be found!
I am an introvert who wants to stay away from MOST people. I have my small group of contacts, and I am happy with just them. I do not use searches to "make friends", as some of these botters claim to be doing. They just annoy me, and I have blocked and reported each of them. I wish I didn't have to deal with them at all. I wish they wouldn't try to contact me to begin with. I wouldn't have to deal with them, if they cannot find me in the first place.
Sample Conversation (from memory):
Bot: *Contact Request*
Me: Who are you?
Bot: yay! someone to talk to! how are you?
Me: Wondering if you are an auto responder. Please contact me outside where you know me from, do not contact me here again until you do so.
Bot: I found you on searches, I am looking for a friend
Me *blocks and reports*
I do not want to deal with conversations (like above) on a daily basis. Please make the insanity stop. Look at all the posts about this same issue! Please let us have the option to hide ourselves from Public searches. Please let us hide ourselves from these bad people, robots, liars, blackmailers, scam artists, and all other fakers. Please don't expect us to deal with these strangers.
And for all the victims who are sucked into these stranger's deceptive conversations, I feel really sorry for you. I was once ignorant like that. I feel the pain.
TL;DR:
Add an option to hide our skype from Public searches.

In the Windows Desktop version of the Skype software, I can navigate to my profile settings: Skype -> Profile -> Edit your profile.  
My work-around still works ... for me, at least, which is why I continue to recommend it.

Did you know that if you look up how to delete your name from the Skype directory, it says that you are effectively disabling your account? Your name will not show up in searches, and it will remain in the contact lists of those who have already added you, but those contacts will no longer be able to call you.
