Option to install on other than C:

Hi,
I just signed up for CS Cloud.
When I download the apps, they all seem to install, by default, on my C:
I can't have that. My C: is just a startup drive and there's not much space left. Now, I have 2 other 2TB drives with lots of space on them and I'd rather install Adobe Apps on that. But there's no option to do that even prior to downloading the Creative Cloud Dowload Manager. Unless I'm missing something.
So any help appreciated.
Thanks

Ahh I found it. Stupid too.
1. Go to The Adobe Application Manager, click on the arrow next to your name.
2. Hit preferences.
3. Pick your drive.
Easy

  • Options for receiving audio other than onboard mic...

    I spent about 8 hrs in my home studio making a really awesome voice mail message for my Verizon account. After I completed my new snazzy message I attempted to record it to my voice mail account. When the phone promoted me to say my message I simply played my recording through the speakers and held up the phone. Ugh! Sounded terrible. I tried different volumes of playback, diff distances from speakers... nothing could make it sound clear like it does in the actual room. Then I tried my Bluetooth headset with the understanding that the thing is marketed as having a good mic. No better. So I called Verizon and they claim to have no way to digitally transfer my mixdown to the account (I was thinking if I could make my message into a MP3 r whatever, maybe I could upload it somehow). No go. So I'm forced to record it real time to Verizons recorder. Soooo...does this Curve here have any sort of alternative to the onboard mic other than a Bluetooth? A line in would be perfect as I could play my mix into the phone bypassing the mic altogether. But I think I'm outta luck. Any ideas for me?

    I think you're out of luck as you said.
    This is a Verizon function, not of the BlackBerry. The voicemail system lies in their servers somewhere.
    I don't know of any line-in function. It's not available.

  • Can Crystal Reports Runtime 2008 be installed on other than C: Drive?

    We use Crystal Reports 2008 as part of a custom database package. We have users that do not want the Crystal Reports installed on the C: drive. With this version there doesn't appear to be an option to select another drive on which to install the software. Is there a way to install on another drive?
    Thanks

    When they Crystal Reports install they can select a different folder and drive to install to but some runtime will be installed on C drive, no option to move it all to another drive.
    ALSO, You should NOT have both BOE XI R2 and 3.1 on the same PC, they are not side by side. CR Designer is but BOE.
    I suggest starting over and keep them on separate PC's, use the migration tool to import from old to new but you should log a case to get your BOE system cleaned up and the data migrated to separate PC's.

  • How do I get a drop down menu to auto default to option selected a value other than the default written in the javascript?

    I use web based software where I have to select from a drop down menu a particular option. However, I only ever use 1 option. Sometimes as much as 100 times a day. Is there anyway to get Firefox to auto select the same option every time? I don't have access to the source code so I cant change <option selected="selected" value="">.

    A possibility would be a Greasemonkey script to do this automatically or a JavaScript bookmarklet to do it manually.
    You would need to remove the selected="selected" from the currently selected option and set that attribute for the wanted option.
    You can test the bookmarklet here:
    *https://developer.mozilla.org/en/HTML/Element/select
    <pre><nowiki>javascript:(function(){var d=document,s=d.getElementsByTagName('SELECT')[0],o=s.getElementsByTagName('OPTION'),S='selected',v='value1',i;for(i=0;O=o[i];i++){if(O.value==v){O.setAttribute(S,S);O.selected=true}else{O.removeAttribute(S);O.selected=false;}}})();</nowiki></pre>
    If there are more 'selects' then you need to adjust the element number [0] and you also need to adjust the value of the wanted option.

  • Equium L300 - Will not install anything other than Microsoft downloads

    Equium L300 updated with Windows 7. I am a novice where PCs are concerned so any help welcomed. My notebook will not install "programmes" (eg Java AVG etc etc) It down loads, ask to run then nothing happens. It used to ! .
    I have tried just about everything I can think of but now can't see the wood for the trees. I stand to lose 50 after trying to update my sat nav!

    Thanks for your reply(s)... you may think "moron" but where is setup.exe. I have turned of Firewall and uninstalled Norton and previously AVG.
    It seems that if the "programme" eg adobe, Google Earth is in my PC already it will install .New things seem to be the problem. I installed Windows 7 But I seem to remember that I had this prob before with XP and foolishly thought that it would resolve it's self.
    I am terrible for looking into the background and checking and un checking things I know nothing about could it be something as simple as that ?
    what would happen if I used the recovery discs!!?? and how do I do it safely
    Sorry to be so thick ......woman driver !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Please help: what options do we have other than ATI Radeon X1900 XT

    I think my video card (ATI Radeon X1900 XT) is about to die and I'm trying to figure out what to replace it with. (I'm on a 1st gen MacPro, still on Tiger).
    What I can't easily figure out from this site, however, is a list of alternative cards I could purchase that will fit in this machine. I gather from the ratings that the ATI X1900 has failed for just about everyone that has used it intensely. And I'd like to avoid buying the same one that is about to fail for me now, but how can I tell what my alternatives are and if they will fit in the slot and/or be compatible with my machine?
    I have been to the Mac Pro spec area, and it lists these as the "build to order" options:
    * ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB (two dual-link DVI)
    * NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 512MB (stereo 3D, two dual-link DVI)
    * Two NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB
    * Three NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB
    * Four NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB
    are those the only cards I can choose from? Are there any other better options?
    Forgive me if I sound like a totally idiot. I'm just trying to learn...

    You should visit Bare Feats and see the various reviews and benchmarks. You have several options now available besides the ones that came originally with your model. There is now an NVidia 8800 card in a version for pre-2008 MPs, the ATI 2600, and the new ATI 3870 just released. You can learn more at Bare Feats and by searching the MP forums.
    You have posted this topic in the MacBook Pro forum which is the wrong forum for your question.

  • Default Install somewhere other than C: Drive

    Having a new machine built with SSD (Solid State Drive) as C:drive solely for Win 7 OS.  Is there a way to load Lightroom and tell it to load  ALL of its files onto the D drive.  Catalog etc.  It seems to want to default to C no matter what.  I dont want the machine reading, writing to the Solid State Drive all the time.   Im going to put all programs onto D and E internal HD.  Or do I have to move the catalog after I load Lightroom.    I dont recall it asking me where to put the catalog the first time I loaded it  (v3.3)

    Ive did some research on Moving the USER file....it seems to be a big deal to windows....involved setting up link files deep within the command line interface etc.  May be to much for me to mess with.  And Ive read it also messes up Windows Update if you get to messing with moving the User file off C: drive.   This is a Microsoft failing in its file system.   Perhaps in the coming Win 8  they will finally get an up to date File System.   With thest new type SSD drives becoming more popular we need to be able to move all the user type stuff off these drives.  Would like to have an SSD system with only the OS and let the USER file and some miscellaneous random file adjustments be located on a regular HD.
    In fact I would think they could look to putting a blank slot in the motherboard and we could buy Windows on a ROM chip or little insertable board and just plug and play.  Let all the miscellaneous file handling afterwards be pointed to any drive you had.  But the OS would be hard coded on the ROM.   They could put Win OS on a locked down SD card type device and just insert it.  Bang....new OS and in hardware.

  • I am using Photoshop CS5 extended and I have tried to get an update to be able to use raw with my D600 and it won't give me any options. Any recommendations othere than to go to PSCC and LRCC?

    Is there a way to update PS CS5 extended to allow me to use raw with my D600. It works with my D300 and D90 raw but not with my D600.

    CS5 Adobe Camera Raw stopped at 6.7 and the D600 support was introduced in 7.2 for CS6.
    You are eligible to upgrade to Photoshop CS6 for $200 Standard or $400 Extended if you do not want the Cloud.

  • Logic pro 7 not finding ANY installed au, other than the preinsalled.....

    I know I must be doing something wrong, but even though some of my plugins work on the new macintel, logic will not find ANY au's.
    the au manager validates every instance found, but vintage warmer/battery 2.....several don't show up in logic anywhere.
    what the *&^&^$ am I doing wrong???
    thanks

    I can confirm what jord is saying. You need plugins built for Intels, either directly or as a Universal Binary. Check with the manufacturers, the UniBins are already coming out and most will be available very soon. Don't try running your Logic as PPC on an Intel.

  • How do I install CC Desktop and Apps to a drive other than "C"?

    After several problems, help from the forum, and finally an Adobe tech from India, the tech was able to install CC Desktop.  The tech had to make hidden files visible, and change an existing file OO?? (I can't remember the last two letters") to OO??_old.  Maybe this will help someone else.
    Perhaps I'm wrong, but as the tech was downloading and installing CC Desktop, I didn't see any option for which drive to install it on.  I am now installing CC apps.  I see no option as to which drive to install the app.
    I have my computer setup as C: operating system; D: sctratch; E: programs; F: files, G: cd/dvd.
    How can I install CC Desktop to "E"?  If done, will CC apps automatically install on "E"?  Will CC Desktop work properly on other than "C" drive?   Will CC apps work properly on other than "C" drive?  If CC Desktop should always be on "C", can I stll install CC apps on "E"?  I get no dialog box or window providing an option of where to install any of the CC programs.

    While CCApp Prefs does give you this option, it doesn't respect the settings and still installs to C: Drive. This is a big problem for those using an SSD drive to boot. Why would something as simple as choosing your install folder, like every other application in the world be an issue that has taken over a year to fix?

  • Install Adobe CC apps on a drive other than C?

    Can I install CC apps on a drive other than C? If so, how?

    It does indeed:
    I haven't tried it either, in fact I've always heard that the smart thing is to install in the default location. But the option is there. Keep in mind that a lot of stuff will go to the user folder on the C drive in any case, so you can't keep it entirely off C.
    Normally I'd ask "why?" - but SSDs have brought back space restrictions, at least for a while. I'm getting a little worried for my 240 GB system/apps SSD, which is very nearly full pretty soon.
