Option to supress or just show Forum name at top
I looked back the last several weeks and didn't see this mentioned, but apologize if it's out there somewhere already.
I monitor the BI forums. So I have a recurring list of 6 or so BI forums and the 3 or 4 sentence description of each forum that goes along with it. This occupies a lot of real estate, almost a full screen, causing me to have to scroll down for on every single page.
It would be nice if there was an option to either allow you to suppress the display of the forum names and descriptions, or at least just show the forum name without the description.
I second that.
Something that would help me as well.

How do you hide incoming text messagtes on the iphone 4. I can do on the 3G. Can it be done on the 4?

Ipod Nano-How Do I just show names of Albums
Help please, i have an ipod nano, and i want to be able to display names of the Albums on my itunes library only. In Windows Media you have a separate heading which just shows the names of all the Albums you have, so if you want to update / delete any of them you can just choose the relevant one. Can this be done on my iTunes Library? I have had a play around with the library but I can't seem to find a way. Can this be done? Heellllpppp please.

I bought a Mac Mini Server and after set up I realized that it was not set up as a mirrored raid system. So I followed the instructions on how to do that - this erased my drives. Restarted and reinstalled the Mountain Lion software but when I go to the app store it shows the server sotware in my purchases but there is no option for reinstall - it just shows INSTALLED and the date it was purchased.
Ho do I reinstall my server app?Seems to have become available once again while downloading the update for Mountain Lion. I guess youjust have to wait a while for it to check your system and then make it available once more.

When I enter birth dates for my contacts on iCloud, about 20% of them show up on the iCalendar "as 's Birthday " (without the name of the person), but the rest show up just as they should (i.e., "Ron's Birthday")...I've checked and re-checked the way the data is entered in the Contacts folder, but still get this discrepancy. It only happens when I open iCalendar on my PC...when I view the iCalendar on my iPhone, everything reads just fine. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Right, I just thought of this so that podcasts DON'T SHOW UP in artists or albums on your iPod (althought it does show up on songs and genres, but if you've got it so it skips podcasts then it won't matter...).
What you do is:
Go onto Podcasts in iTunes. Then go on View on the top toolbar and scroll down to View Options...
Then select it so artist and album show up. Then delete whatevers there, so that the only info on the podcast is just the podcast name and its length.

some of my contact names are not appearing when they text message me. They are just showing up as their numbers. I have them saved in my phone so i am not really sure why their names aren't showing up when they message me?
I have this identical problem. For a while my group texts didnt show up on my ipad. Then one day they did, maybe everyone in the group started using the same os version or something. Ever since my first reply to the group there have been complaints of multiple threads. I can not find a pattern for when my group text's decide they want to create a new thread. (it doesnt happen every time) Everyone in the group has deleted the thread, we've all toggled imessage on/off etc. There still hasn't been a solution.
Any help would be appreciated.

How do I stream music from non-iTunes apps to Airport (mac air core-i7 OS 10.7.5 airport firmware 7.6.1 --- option-clicking speaker icon only shows internal speakers - audio streaming works from iTunes just fine.

I did not read the rather long post. If you wish to reinstall OS X 10.4, use your software install DVD. Backup is essential. To minimize your risk, I would use an archive and install:

In that way, you will have a fresh copy of OS X and your current settings will be preserved.
Incidentally, I do not agree that the printer problem is best solved by reinstalling OS X. I have had HP printers for sometime and, on one occasion, had difficulty after an upgrade. HP technical support walked me through uninstalling all traces of the HP driver and then reinstalling.

In mail, why does entire email address show up instead of just person's name
When I address most emails (to persons who are in my contacts), only their names show up in the "To:" window. But with certain people, their name plus their <full email address> all show up in the window.
I've tried re-entering their names in my contacts. I've tried deleting these names-with-full-email-addresses from the Previous Recipients list. No matter what I do, their name fills in as "First Name Last Name <full email address>" in the "To:" window. I also mail to other clients at the same company and their names just show up as names only -- normal.
Any idea why this is happening, and how I can make it stop?It's fixed. Not sure why. Maybe one of the things I tried just needed time to take effect. Suddenly, it's working.

Is it possible to just show new posts of selected forums?

is there a possibility to just show new posts of selected forums? At vbulletin forums you can do this via search.php?include=1,2,3 so I tried search.php?action=show_new&fid=20,30,33,47,42,24,50 here. But it only searches for the new posts of forum with the id 20 and ignores all the other parameters.. Any ideas? Did I overlook this function anywhere?

Question to the administration: Is it possible to implement this feature? As for now I can search each forum for new posts with search.php?action=show_new&fid=20 for example. So it shouldn't be that complex to implement a search with multiple forum IDs like search.php?action=show_new&fid=20,21,22,23?
Would be really great..
To the suggestion with "New" threads or new posts in threads (search.php?action=show_new): It's a lot to search through and I don't want to spend too much time for it

I update my iPhone in iTunes, and after some time, opened a window saying "rosolvendor conflict" and asking me to choose, giving me two options, showing the name of a friend who also has an iPhone.

Whenever I connect my iphone 3GS to my PC through a USB. My itunes software comes up automatically.
1. After that a message appears from the itunes that states that 'itunes could not connect to the itunes store, an unknown error cccured (306).
2. After the above, an alert message comes up which states that A new iphone software version 5.1 is availlable for my iphone. It then states would you like to download it and update your iphone now? With the options buttons as Cancel or Download and Update or Download Only. Whenever I clicked on Download and Update or Download Only, the next message that comes up is that The iphone Software Update Server Could not be Contacted and suggest make sure your network setting are correct and active or try again later.

Hello, if I write an email with my MAIL program, everybody can just see my first name. This is very unprofessional. In the Mail settings is in the Account information my full name stated. But it still shows just my first name. How can I change it, that my full name is showing up? Is there anybody who can help me? My actually mail program is GMX. Thank you!!

In general: Good power supply is very important for xsan. My friend Lucas was called for help at a client which had an xsan volume which was completely broken after a few power outages within 1 day. All data was lost. So the general advise is to make sure your system always has power. Some hints:
1 Make sure the Xraid has batteries. This will keep the caches alive when power fails.
2 Behind the UPS you can put a power device (I do not know the english name, but I mean a device which burns Gasoline or Diesel and deliveres Watts)
Your questions:
1. What will hapend if Xserv Raid (controler )will restart or power off. ?
2. What will hapend if Swith is power off more than 1 minutes
3. What will hapend if XservRaid will power of+ data trafiic will stop. drop frames on Final Cut, But that does not matter much since these machines will have no power also.
+ writes are not finished. Indexes on metadata are not updated. your filesystem will be corrupted. A chkdsk might fix this.
4 Did i need to make some special configuration for Qlogic. or i can youse any ports and plug in Storage and Server in same port .
Yes you have to configure the ports.
Hosts and storage devices need different settings. This has to do with FC resets. On hosts : enable RSCN suppression, and disable device scan. On targets(xraid) do it vice versa.
Also I suggest you do zoning on your switches.

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.

Hotmail site just shows a blank page. Although I went to options advanced network clear now.
