Option with GRC 5.3 CUP to consolidate the Login Notif. for Xple Systems
Hi,
We are setting up a GRC environment for provisioning accounts for users in Dev and Test SAP systems. We are planning to use a single request to provision accounts to 15-20 systems simultaneously and we are checking ways to consolidate the login notification to the user.
With our current setting to auto provision the account, the user will get separate mails for each systems. Is there any tweak that will help in consolidating the different mails for different systems to a single one with the same UID and password.
I know there may not be any standard way of doing this, but then there can be fresh ideas from experts.

Sorry, Anil. There is no way to configure those provisioning emails. You can change the wordings or remove them but you won't be able to consolidate them.

Is it a real-time situation or something you are visualising ?
For consolidation, you can use a group chart of accounts and select that in the operative chart of accounts for consolidation purposes. This would work provided the company codes use the same operative chart of accounts and fiscal year.

GRC Compliance Calibrator 5.3 and the "action" field for S_TCODE.
Dear GRC gurus,
I have read the threads here on the search terms for the "action" field in the "function" definitions, but not found a clear answer... so forgive me for asking a possibly obvious question.
When implementing the technical rules for the function, it seems that the "action" field is included in the check even if it's value is not in the "permissions" of object S_TCODE. But there is no "look up" nor validation (how could there be from the Java system?) on what that value is.
Appart from the fact that one might be tempted to enter some nonesense text in there, what is the logic behind the checks in the coding if it happens to fit a tcode name and is this field truncated at any points?
The reason for asking, is that we have some critical functions in the system for which we do not care how the user gets to it (tcode's... , rfc's..., service's... etc) but want to analyze whether the users can infact use the function (as opposed to attempt to start it). This makes sense in many business functions, and for the "basis" stuff which is critical it should be clear).
What we wanted to do was "name" the action by it's well known transaction code (in a symbolic sort of way, for the business users... to be able to recognize it, symbolically... although S_TCODE does not have an activity field........) but not have it checked in the rule set at the technical level. The standard delivered rules seemed to do the same thing... but we are still stuck on the s_tcode check because we dont want it in some cases and have good reasons for this.
- Can anyone confirm how this really works? For example wild carding FB* as the action name?
- Assuming our above analysis is correct, which tricks can you recommend (add a "dummy" action?; add a * action?; a possible naming convention?) to shed the harness of the tcode check (or having to document all of the buggers in the actions...) but still make it useable for the only slightly technically inclined folks who do understand that there are enough tcodes or it is critical enough that we should not rely on the "very general" protection provided by tcodes?
Bad news, future insights and work-arounds are all welcome

This describes exactly what we were looking for and the manual load / merge was also the intention using the file as the "master" to maintain and not make changes within the application.

I cant download the new iTunes soflware on my PC because I have not yet been able to sync my photos from my phone to my itunes. If I update to the new software on my pc, for some reason I can't then update my phone software. What Ive had to do the past few times is go the the Apple Store and have them load the new iTunes on my phone for me but then that means I lose all my pics. I dont remember how I used to get my photos from my phone to my itunes but i know i used to be able to. I think I lost some of my options. Does anyone know what this could be? PS: I have the iphone 3g and Windows XP on my PC

I am writting to ask for help with my old version MacBook Pro early 2008 with Kernel Panic 9C2028 10.5.2 Darwin 9.2.1. My MacBook Pro freezes up with a panic and have to shut it down by pressing and holding the power button. When I restard the comp it keep showing the same Kernel Panic. Will any body outthere heppe me get out this freezes up panic kernel Darwin 9.2.1.

Given Mavericks OS X 10.9.5 is said to no longer be available, you may wish to try your luck first
with Mountain Lion 10.8.5 just in case your older computer does not like Yosemite 10.10.1. From
what I understand, you'd likely pay a fee to get & use Mt Lion. That may be worth it, if the unit
does not prefer Yosemite; and it may be difficult to revert to an older one after installing 10.10.

Take the Mac's serial number, not a MAC address, to one of the stores and perhaps they know how to find what you need on Apple's retail servers. -
I can see a large version of my photo in Library mode, but in Develop module, all that appears is a blue screen with an X in it. Has anyone else experienced this? How can it be fixed?
I went to the performance tab and LR6 is not even using my GTX860 card, it's using the onboard Intel HD Graphics 4600. Lame. And I'm still getting the blue screen.
I disabled the GPU use and LR6 sped up considerably, oddly enough, especially the crop tool, which was very slow with LR6. Everything was always lightning fast with 5 and appears to be back to normal after disabling the PGU, so I'm fine with just leaving it disabled. Yeesh.
Will try to update the NVidia drivers and post back. -

This is something we can definitely figure out together! Are you able to get the phone for a few minutes? If so, please go to Settings>Cellular and scroll down. You will find a list of the apps on the phone. I'm curious to see if there are any messenger apps listed such as Snapchat, Facebook Messenger, Hangouts, ect...... These apps can send the messages via the internet connection instead of via our texting system and would not show up in our records.

The majority of Mac users use CarbonCopy Cloner @ http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html , or SuperDuper @ http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html . You can also use or the Restore function of Disk Utility included in OS X.
When you backup, boot into Safe Mode (depress the Shift key at startup) and the backup will be safer and faster.

GRC AC 10 (RAR/CUP/ERM) configuration for EP system
Hello Gurus,
We are aware of configuring RAR/CUP/ERM in GRC AC 10 for ERP system(back-end)
Are there any documents /links to provide information on configuring the above components for EP system ??
Or rather specific which of the following configuration is possible for EP system ?? CUP /RAR/ ERM ??
Also going further , is there any way in which we can configure the same for BO system ??
I am not quite sure if there is any PLUG-In as such which is available for BO system or not .
But in my opinion there is no need to perform configuration for BOBJ system as the roles in them are imported from Backend system (ERP/BI etc) , hence if these roles are already taken care during ERP system cleanup and SOD analysis , there should be no need to configure seperately RAR/ERM/CUP.
Please provide your comments.
