Optional cs5 Plugin install issue
I have attempted to install the cs5 optional plug-ins and followed what looks like pretty simple instructions, after following those instructions and starting cs5 the plugins do not show up in the filter dropdown menu (where my after market plugins are located.
The instructions that I followed from the readme pdf are
"To install any of these plug-ins, drop the appropriate file into the //Adobe Photoshop CS5/Plug-ins
folder and restart Photoshop."

Windows 7 64 bit
Adobe CS5 extended

Looking at the doweload there are plug-ins folders for both versions in two different folders "win32" and "win64" I only installed two features that I wanted Contact Sheet II and Web Photo Galleries. I only installed the 32 Bit versions there were other files and folders involved pargicually for Contact Sheet II for the Bridge support. Web Photo Galleries also has a folder "Web Photo Gallery" in Presets. I install these on my old XP system. Not on my Win 7 system. Contact Sheet II and Web Photo Galleries work foe me.
Make sure you install the correct version of the Plug-ins for each version of Photoshop note file sizes and date time

Hi I am trying to reinstall CS5 master suit from original discs and I am repeatedly getting this:
I have uninstalled renamed folders ran the cleanup tool, changed the permissions etc. but still can't get it to run. Can a file be missing from the DVD?

I uninstalled VMware witht RevoUninstaller and deleted all Vmware sysfolders and all regKeys.
Important note:
The first Installtion was on the 2nd Hard disk on my PC. These Harddisk was Connected via USB3 Port. VMware was successfully installed, and via the standart installation procedure the ISO files could be installed in Vmware, but the problem persist with
WIN2012RT server.
After a new installation of VMware into the Local C: Drive. The Win2012RT.Iso could be installed. With this procedure

SP2010 Foundation Post Install issues on development workstation - Database and Services
Just recently installed SP2010 Foundation for a development workstation. Platform isWin7 X64 pro, SQL 2008 (Developer edition)
(1) Looks like search has some configuration issues. This is in the Windows event log

when you run the config wizard( you mentioned many times), which option you select from 2nd try to on ward....cannot disconnect this server from farm?
are you using any script to install ?
I would say run the config wizard without disconnecting and this server will host CA option.
from the central admin > manager server in farm...on top you will see farm version and config database name. note it
from the Manage database Upgrade status page note all the db names
now match it on sql and keep those and all other should gone now as a clean process.

Mac OSX: Flash CS3 Font Install Issues
Hi,
I have a Mac Powerbook G4 with OS X installed and Adobe CS3.
I've installed a font. The font works in Photoshop and Illustrator
but not in Flash CS3. Why? I've put the font in the Library/Fonts
folder and the User/Fonts folder and it still doesn't show up in
Flash. Apparently this is a problem for a number of people see

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
Unfortunately, it looks like something is wrong with the file system and the installer can't see the root drive to install to. A Google search returns numerous results affecting various products and the recurring theme is that something is wrong with the disk. There are many recommendations from various sources, but nothing definitive.

I would try the following options:
Try using the PKG installer. This is used Mac SysAdmins to install Flash Player within their organization and uses a slightly different installer path, which may or may not work.
Some people have had success with disk and permissions repair some have not. You can try running a disk and permissions repair. After the disk and permissions repair is complete, reboot the system and try to install again using either the online installer (get.adobe.com/flashplayer) or the offline installer, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page in the ‘Still having problems’ section.
If these options do not work, I'd reach out to Apple support to see if they have a suggestion. If you do find a resolution to this, please let me know. I'll be happy to share it with people that encounter the problem in the future.

Exit code 7 on Dreamweaver CS5.5 install
Hi,
I keep getting Exit code 7 during my dreamweaver CS5.5 install.
A little information about my machine:
- I have CS5 Master collection installed
- I have Flash Pro 5.5, Air for Apple iOS and Flash builder 4.5 installed.
- I HAD Flash Builder 4.6 prerelease installed (I uninstalled it and installed the regular 4.5 again).
What I've tried:
- I've uninstalled AIR, Flash player & ActiveX control (some people reported this fixes problems very similar to mine)
- I've uninstalled Dreamweaver CS5 from my Master collection
- I've done the /unreg /regserver commandline thingy Adobe suggests
- I've tried installing in Diagnostics mode
- I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling my CS5.5 programs (FP & FB)
None of these things seem to work.
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?
(I just reinstalled Flash Pro 5.5 & Flash Builder 4.5 from the same DVD (CS5.5 Web Premium) and those work fine)

I downloaded a trial of photoshop cs5 and when I go to install the trail it first warns me of a "pending restart" which i can ignore and continue or close and do a restart as recommended (which I tried). If I attempt to continue with the installation it tells me it failed. This is the error log below (it's big). Let me know if you want more information. Im running windows 7 32-bit by the way.

From the log I see you are getting "Error 1935".
This is a MSI error.

I have looked through this forum and have looked at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/docs/guide/plugin/developer_guide/plugin-install.html, but am unable to find a valid URL that I can include in my HTML to enable the user to install the plugin should it not already be installed on their machine.
I need the URL for all operating systems. While the developers guide does refer to some URLs, mainly
http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.4/plugin-install.html, or the one for windows (as above but with jinstall-14-win32.cab#Version...), but I get an HTTP 404 on all of them.
Does anyone have a working HTML file that they have used to download the plugin? And if yes, please, could you give me the URLs that you used.
Thank you in advance.Using the option for 1.4.0+ instead of 1.4.0 got better output from HtmlConverter. Haven't tried it on a machine without the plug-in yet.
As a side note, under the plug-in console "Advanced" tab, setting the Java Runtime Environment to 1.3.x caused IE 5 to crash on applet load. Setting the JRE to 1.4.0 fixed the problem. However, some COTS Java packages I am using throw exceptions when 1.4.0 plug-in is used. So much for backwards compatability....
Anybody else developing hatred and loathing for the 1.4.0 plug-in?
