Options on left hand side

in the old firefox the options menu were on the left hand side of the screen and now they are on the
right hand side.
Is there a way to move them to the left hand side like before?

Where is the iPhoto library stored and how can I browse to it in Finder? The "Photos" option is not showing up on the left hand side.

I created an app using Automator to batch resize my photos. When I take photos with my iPhone 4s the resolution is so big I can't upload them to a web site, so I can select all the photos in an event and resize them down. It's too time consuming to open each one in Preview and resize it manually. This little app works perfectly!
Here's the only thing I'd like to change - when the app starts up it asks which photos I want to resize. I'd love it to default to the iPhoto library so I can choose the most recent event. But I can't for the life of me find it! Normally there's a choice on the left hand side that says Photos and in the automator finder window, it's not showing up. I've looked through all the folders I can think of and can't find it.

You are not using iPhoto properly and are in danger of losing your photos
iPhoto is a SQP database application and there are NO user servicable parts in the database (by default the iPhoto library) It is extremely important that you NEVER make any changes of any sort to the content (or structure) of the iPhoto library
The only safe (and suppoprted) way to resize photo is to select them and export using the various esize options in teh export dialogue and use those resized photos - this is a bathc process and does not involve Preview nor does it involve seperate processing for each photo

How can I return to a previous version of Numbers? Or how can I have all my sheets show on a column on the left hand side, as in the previous version?

I updated my Numbers for Mac only to find out that there are several changes that make it less appealing for me so far (and I don't think it's only the learning curve). Questions: a) can I somehow edit the location of where I can find all the sheets (right now they are on top of the page, and you can't see all of them listed at quick glance but must scroll/arrow through them) I have in that spreadsheet? In the previous version they were all easy access on the left hand side.
Or b) can one go back to a previous version of a program somehow?

On my machine I just hit shift-command-j (the keyboard shortcut I assigned in System Preferences) and a list of the sheets in the current document pops up:
I type a number from the list and jump immediately to that sheet. The hands never have to leave the keyboard.
(This particular document had a sheet named for each month. But the sheets in your document automatically will be listed instead.)
This is done via a Jump to Sheet Automator Service (Dropbox download). To install just doubleclick the .workflow package and (if needed) click 'Download Anyway' in System Preferences > Privacy & Security.
Installation will cause a new item to appear in your Numbers > Services menu. Then, if you want a keyboard shortcut, go here in System Preferences and add one:
You can rename or remove the service by holding down the option key in Finder and choosing Go > Library > Services. You can also view the AppleScript contaned within the service by opening the .workflow package in Automator.
Note, also, that in Numbers 3 you don't have to use those left-right arrows upper right to slowly scroll left-right to the sheets that are out of view. Just move your cursor up to the "band" with the "tabs" and drag left or right. That's much faster than using the arrows.

When clicking a link normally - a new tab would open, but in this version a new window opens and there are 2 blue bars - the bar at the top of the browser and on the left hand side is a orange firefox button - Next time i start firefox it crashes!!!

This window looks weird: there are 2 blue bars(the upper blue bar - normally there is 1, with the current page name and - Mozilla Firefox written in white inside of the bar) plus in the 2nd bar there is an orange firefox button, on the left hand side.
I have already asked this question and was adviced to start in safe mode - this did not help either.
Please help me quickliy, it is really annoying.

Can I adjust the size Firefox maximizes to, since it leaves a small sliver of space on the left-hand side, even when maximized?

When I have my dock set to the left-hand side of my screen, Firefox maximizes to all but a small sliver of space on the left hand side. Is there a way to change the default maximized window parameters (in about:config or something), or is there an add-on that will allow you to do it?

Open Finder and use one of these:

HT1338 Left hand side of monitor dims on 2011/intel based iMac-any suggestions?

Left hand side of monitor dims on 2011 /intel based iMac-any suggestions? Called apple support. Restarted-didn't help. Unplugged my second monitor from the thunderbolt port-didn't help. Unplugged center cord in the middle on the back of the monitor-waited 15 seconds, restarted, held down option-command-p-r and this didn't help. Apple support thought that it was most likely a video card/hardware issue, but would like to hear of any other trouble shooting suggestions.

Not a hardware issue, since it shows up in a screenshot. Please boot in safe mode, launch Safari, and test. Same problem?
Some things won't work in safe mode, possibly including wireless networking.
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode.)

Adobe Acrobat XI add line numbering on left hand side

In Adobe Acrobat XI were is the option to add line numbering on the left hand side of the page for documents?

If it is a Word document that you used to create the PDF, Then Word has the ability to show line numbers.
Two methods:
Layout Tab on Ribbon click in Line Numbers.
From Main Menu choose format Menu > Document > Layout. Click Linember button and set up as desired.
Then create your PDF.
Note this is shown using a Mac. But the same thing is in The PC version as well.

Left Hand Side of iTouch is now unresponsive to fingers

I got this Ipod Touch last year sometime(cant remember specific date) and I cracked the screen dropping it while it was unprotected by my otterbox case. But everything still worked. It just had a minor crack but it was still fully functional. And this was months ago. And then yesterday. I disconnected it from a full overnight battery charge and started doing my thing with it only to realize that the whole left hand side was unresponsive to everything(Slideing/tapping/pinching). I tried everything to fix the problem like reseting, reinstalling the OS, turning it off and on. Nothing worked. If anyone has had this problem in the past and resolved it without paying out of the pocket please assist me. Thanks

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Moving navigation menu to left hand side?

Is it possible to move the navigation menu from the top to the left hand side? If so, how?
I'm using the road trip theme at the moment.

Not the one that iWeb creates. You can create a text based navbar and place it on the side like in this demo page: Text Based Navbar and Drop Down Menus. It would have to be copied and pasted from the first page it was created on to all the other pages. Not convenient if you have a lot of pages.
There are numerous menu options that you could use. Do a search in the iWeb forum for "menu" and you'll get a number of topics that might have a type of menu that would work for you.

How do I move my tabs back to the left hand side of the screen?

Until today, all of my open tabs have appeared in a top to bottom column running down the left hand side of my screen, which works great.
When I logged in a few minutes ago, the tabs appeared for the first time in a horizontal row running across the bottom of the screen. I would like to reposition the tabs list to its original orientation and location. How do I do that?

That is not a built-in option in Firefox, you must have an add-on that has added that capability. There are several add-ons that can move the tab bar, check your installed add-ons to see if one of them has that option.

Hi I have an ipod shuffle which worked well on my old pc but since i have tried to link it with my new laptop I cant get it to sinc. I have athorised the device to my laptop so i thought it maybe worth resetting it but all the info I have read tells me that to reset my ipod i need to open i tunes and on the left hand side in the 'source panel' i will find my ipod listed but when i open itunes i do not have a source panel so i cant reset it. i have spent days trying to get this problem sorted and am about to throw the thing away. I have tried to manually sinc the thing, i have installed and reinstalled the latest version of itunes, i have restarted my laptop but i dont know what to do next. any help would be very much appreciated. In Firefox 29.0, how can I pin the bookmarks so they are all displayed on the left hand side (all the time)?

Before the Firefox 29.0 upgrade, I had my bookmark list constantly displayed on the left-hand side of the Firefox screen. How can I get that in version29.0?
Right now I have to click on the bookmark button and then on Bookmark menu to get to see my bookmarks. I want them permanently "pinned" to the left-hand side of the screen. Just moving the bookmark button is not enough.

You can find the "View Bookmarks Sidebar" in the drop-down list of the "Show your bookmarks" button that is the dropmarker part of the star on the Navigation Toolbar to bookmark the current page.
There is also a "Show Sidebars" icon in the Customize palette that you can drag on a toolbar or the "3-bar" Firefox menu to have access to the same items that you see in "View > Sidebars" (tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu bar).

My UI is not the same as that shown in the Mozilla website..why? (i.e home button still on left hand side of screen and no bookmark icon)

I was using FF 4 Beta and applied the update ... I noticed that my final version was not the same as shown on the website so I removed the beta setup file and took off all versions of FF cleaned adn restarted my laptop and then reinstalled a clean version of FF 4.. however my final* version is not the same as shown still. Is this right or do I need to do something else :(
Examples of what is different is the home icon remains on the left hand side of the screen next to the back button and I do not have the bookmarks icons which from the website should appear on the right hand side next to the new location of the home button.

Look you can customize it very easily.
Press Alt+V to have the View Menu -> Select Toolbars -> Click on Customize -> Now drag the Home Button to anywhere on the toolbar and pick the Bookmarks Button from the available icons and put it in the toolbar.

the IPhone doesn't show up on the left hand side of ITunes when I open it.
It opens in IPhoto though.
Do I have to upgrade my operating system even further on my computer or is it the phone.
Driving me crazy. Just don't want to lose my calendars that I have on my phone.

You need to update to 10.6.8 using Software Update.

How do I get a trash, spam and draft files to be a visible part of my in box set of files on the left hand side of the page

On the left hand side of the gmail screen and under compose mail, there is an inbox item and some sub-files, including "Starred," "Important," "Chats," and "Sent Mail. But there isn't "drafts," "spam," or "trash." Nor when I seek to move an e-mail is there in the move-to drop down a way of moving files to important, drafts, trash or spam. Thus i can't file and I can't see what has been moved where. I don't know whether this is a function of version 9, but if so, I'd like to get the older version so I can manage my files.and view what's there.

Turn on the side bar by typing Cntrl + S.
