ORA-00020 and Ora-12519 error contineous in 10g Enterprise on Windows 2003
Hello Experts,
I have Oracle 10g installed on windows 2003 server (64 bit), No issue with Storage (1TB) x5450 @3 GHz and 16 GB RAM.
DB size is approx. 9 GB.
We are facing this isue again and again. We tried to restart DB and after some hours we see the same issue.
I check the Processes and session on INIT<SID>.ora file and was confugured to 750 each. I also check the no. of Inactive process (thru SYS login) and it shows me 728-729. Nos. of backgroung processes are 20.
Can some expert show me the path to get success on this issue asap? This is PRODUCTION server and we can not reboot as many times as we can (you understand) :-).
maximum number of processes (%s) exceeded. HELP?????
Thanks for the quick reply,

As this is your PRODUCTION system THEN_ The best help to offer in case of ORA-600, and ORA-7445 is to open SR with metalink. Submit with the SR the following
1- Alert log
2- Trace files (in ur case e:\oracle\product\10.2.0\admin\orcl\udump\orcl_ora_6012.trc: and e:\oracle\product\10.2.0\em_2\rdbms\trace\orcl_ora_4756.trc:)
3- Describe what was happening when you had these errors.
Try to avoid free help when you have ORA-600 and ORA-07445. This errors could be becuase of BUGS. Oracle Support will know this from the call stack in the trace file.
Then Do your best to patch 10.2.0.4 and the latest CPU patch.

ORA-12154 Error After Install of Enterprise Manager
I have a new new laptop with minimal software installed. Everything was fine and I was able to connect to 4 different Oracle 9i databases.
This morning I installed Oracle Enterprise Manager (10g) and now I get the dreaded ORA-12154 error.
I now find a copy of TNSNAMES.ORA in three places. I have copied the correct version to the two new 10G locations and I have verified that all three copies of TNSNAMES.ORA and SQLNET.ORA are correct and identical.
Do anybody have any idea what else could be wrong?I am certain the TNSNAMES.ORA file is fine as it is "pushed" from a central IT department. I have compared it to the one on a second computer (which has only 9i installed) in my office and they are identical.
I examined the Oracle 9i directories and there was no LISTENER.ORA anywhere. On the 9i only computer the command - C:\>dir listener.ora /s /p executed in a DOS window returned no files.
Everything was working fine until I installed Enterprise Manager 10g (10.2.0.2.1).
I have TOAD installed and it connects to both of the 9i development and production databases, so I know the TNSNAMES.ORA is okay.
It woudl seem that there is a conflict between 10g and 9i Developer/2000. -
TS130 (1105) Driver Error in Installing Acronis Backup of Windows 2003 R2
I have run into a serires of errors which Lenovo support believes are related to the Intel Management Driver, but we have been unable to locate the appropriate drivers to deal with these error messages. The errors I have received are as follows:
PCI/VEN_8086DEV_1C02&SUBSYS_400017AA&REV_04 for Windows Server 2003 Standard
PCI/VEN_8086DEV_1C26&SUBSYS_400017AA&REV_04 for Windows Server 2003 Standard
PCI/VEN_8086DEV_1C2D&SUBSYS_400017AA&REV_04 for Windows Server 2003 Standard
halmacpi.dll required to install ACPI MultiprocessorPC (IDtandard computers) in Windows Server 2003 Standard
Support has gone through the available drivers with me but we have not found a solution. Does anyone know what to download to deal with these issues--my Acronis backup of some critical software for my business will not run without these drivers installed.
Thanks! You must not be familiar with Acronis software.
Let me backup: I had previously purchased a Lenovo server in Dec. 2012 to rebuild my old windows 2003 OS system (a Dell). We successfully moved all the data and set up the software programs on the original Lenovo server with the sole exception of a single SQl based software program that none of the IT experts I consulted with knew how to move. I had called the company who owns the rights to that software program repeatedly in the last 1 1/2 years about the fact that my server was dying, they hadn't provided installation files, I needed to reinstall my license (which was still good) on the new server or I needed to buy a new license, they didn't return my calls.
So, then I bought a second Lenovo server two weeks ago after the old Dell server died yet again (server board this time, Dell thinks) in order to restore this program. Since I don't have installation files, and the company won't get back to me about selling me a new copy, the only way to restore the program is with Acronis, which I had used successfully in trial version for prior hardware failures of this server (this time I have the full version). Acronis does a bare metal install of the entire image of the server; however, to use universal restore onto a new hardware system, you must have the proper drivers. I keep getting errors that these three Intel drivers are missing. So, tier one Lenovo support asked me to post to this board because they couldn't help.

Hi,
I want to know if anyone has been successful in:
installing
configuring and
having a complete and working development environment using:
Windows 2003 AS SP1
Ora10gR2
OWB 10.1.0.4
Workflow 2.6.3
We tried several times, and after designing our first map we got error ''RPE-01011'' WHEN DEPLOYING A MAP IN OWB 10.1.0.4 RPE-01011
I found several entries reporting the same error, but all the solutions listed didn't work on our environment.
Any help is appreciate
Thanks
SilvioWe had a similar issue and opened a TAR, but no luck from oracle. We figured out that the install looks at 64 bit LD library, but actually uses the 32 bit. After setting this up in the runtime_service.sh script, the deployment went through and we are good to go.

I have a form 10g that runs fine on one server, then when I move the FMX over to another 100% identical server, I get the ORA04045 error as soon as i run the form. I've recompiled the form and still get the error.
The problem is that teh message on the form is truncated and I can not see which object is causing the issue.
Anyone have any ideas?then when I move the FMX over to another 100% identical serverThis is a common miss-conception - you should ALWAYS compile your form on the server it will run from.
I've recompiled the form and still get the error. My first suspicion is that the servers are not 100% identical. Rather than a SQL Trace, I suggest you use the Forms Runtime Diagnostics (FRD) to trace just the Forms Session. You might need to modify the default.env and formsweg.cfg to enable FRD. Double check with your App Server admin to see if the "FORMS_TRACE_DIR=" variable is set in the DEFAULT.ENV. As long as this is set, you can enable FRD through the Forms app URL. Start your application and then add "record=collect log=<your_file_name_here.txt" to the URL to start the FRD trace. You could also have your admin modify the formsweb.cfg to create a config just for FRD. For example, I modified my local formsweb.cfg and added the following section so I can run FRD on specific forms from my workstation.
[my_frd]
otherparams=record=collect log=my_frd.txt
This setting is dependent on the FORMS_TRACE_DIR= variable in the default.env.
With this added to the formsweb.cfg, you can enable FRD by adding "config=my_frd" to the url instead of explictly passing record= and log= to the URL.
The log file produced by the FRD is quite large but, if you end your application after you receive the error, you could go to the end of the log file and work your way back until you find the error.
Hope this helps,
Craig B-)

CONNECT -TIME FAILOVER ERROR IN ORACLE 10G ENTERPRISE MANAGER
Hi All,
Please can anyone explain why I am getting this error and how to fix it?
I was trying this exercise to create a backup LISTENER to support a connect-time failover in Enterprise manager. The steps were .1)I clicked the Listener's link on Database control page.2)Next I clicked the Net Services Administration link.3)I selected listeners from the Administer drop-down list and clicked Go.
I received the ERROR message that "Listener administration cannot be performed, as this Oracle Home
"/opt/oracle/DB10g" is not a server installation.
Is this normal?
What can I do to fix it?Please help!
Thanksyou are trying to start the listener on the machine that has enterprise manager installed.
Listener executable is available with oracle database software install( enterprise or otherwise).
You will have to pick the listener on a database software install box to configure it -
ORA-12571 error while creating packages from Windows clients
Hello,
We are facing the ORA-12571 error while creating / replacing packages from Windows Clients connected to a 8.1.7.2.0 db on a Solaris server.
However, there are
1. no errors in connecting and creating transactions from a Sql session
2. no errors in creating / replacing unwrapped/wrapped small (few lines) packages
3. no errors in connecting from a Unix session (remote telnet sessions inclusive).
This happens only when creating wrapped/unwrapped packages, source code of which is greater than 500 kb approx.
Can somebody help me resolve this issue. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards.
Lakshmanan, KUpdate: I had unintentionally left my custom tablespace in READONLY state after an earlier experiment with transportable tablespaces. After putting the tablespace back into READ WRITE mode and creating a new template, I was successfully able to create a new db from the template.
I'm still a little curious why this procedure wouldn't work properly with a READONLY tablespace, however.

Hi Sir,
I am installing oracle 8.1.5 on a windows 2003 server R2 SP2
machine, its having 4GB of RAM.
I have choosen to install the preconfigured starter DB, when DBCA is creating
the DB is throws the following error message...
ORA-04031 unable to allocate 102724472 bytes of shared memory
("shared pool","unknown object","sga heap","db_block_buffers")
Then Ignore or abort comes.
Please give me any solution.
Edited by: Wason Naveen on Nov 7, 2009 4:15 AMHello,
In general ORA-4031 is an error due to a lack of memory (shared_pool).
So you should check for the parameter SHARED_POOL_SIZE and increase it (for instance to 200 Mo).
Else, about the release, I'm surprised that you use Oracle 8.1.5. It's an old release and I'm not sure it's
certified on Windows 2003.
Best regards,
Jean-Valentin
