ORA-00604,ORA-00036,ORA-06521 for any query.

Hello,
I have
ORACLE 10g R2
Windows Server 2003 32bit
I have done no changes in my database. No new triggers, nothing at all. Up-till last evening it was working fine , then i started to face this error on every query we fired.
for ex:-
SQL>Create table sample(a number);
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 2
ORA-00036: maximum number of recursive SQL levels(50) exceeded

ORA-06521: at line 2I searched on internet for the same but many said its about some mutating table error problem but its not. If i am the only user to work on the database with no trigger enabled then also i get the error.
I get this error on execution of procedures,functions & all the code which needs to get executed in database.
What should i do ??? any solution will be appreciated , please also let me know what could have been the reason for this so as next time i would be careful.
Thanks in advance.

Hello ,
I did some R&D on my server & found the solution for the same error. It was so simple but because of the error's description i was getting confused.....
What i did is had a look at the tablespaces & found that some of the most important tablespaces a full. Like system , ERP, USER, ERPINDEX .....
So just i increased the size of the tablespace & everything is working fine now ....
Cheers !!!!
Thanks to all the people who gave their supportive answers ...

    Is there any table or program to get the query run time details per query for a particular day.

    Hello Sravan,
    Bex statics tables would be 'RSDDSTATHEADER','RSDDSTATINFO' & 'RSDDSTATEVDATA'. all these can found in one view 'RSDDSTAT_OLAP'.
    above can give historical statistic.
    For current Query statics : T-code RSRT, and select debug mode select display statistics and then execute.
    Once you get the output press F3(one step back), there you can see statics of the query for that particular execution.
    Thanks,

    Guru's
    Whenever user selects  query in RSRT --> and click on java view it is prompting for user ID and password. After giving the login credentials, the out put remains the same for any query query as input. Please let me know how can we fix this? THis is occuring for only one user. Even I tried copying the user to a new user. THe new user is not facing this problem.

  • 32k Rowsize Limit (ORA-006502) for Report Query Shared Objects in Apex 4.1

    We're trying to move legacy reports off of PlanetPress into Apex. One of the report queries has over 20 tables and attempting to run with the "Test Report" button in the Edit Report Query screen gets the error message:
    Error ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
    This problem appears to have been characterized previously here:
    Listener Error - character string buffer too small (ORA-06502)
    If I comment out 13 lines/items in my SELECT clause, the Test Report runs okay. If I add back in an innocuous literal sellect of a 100-character string, it goes back to the 6502 error.
    I was trying to add more literal strings to force APEX to shift internally from a 32k-limit to a CLOB for the row, however, with a 32k literal string in my SQL statement, APEX crashes. I can't strip out columns from my SQL as all are needed for the report.
    I would very much appreciate a work-around or a patch to Apex 4.1 to address this limitation. Thank you.

    Try moving some of your select logic into a view, thus you can select from the views and reduce your code... (Move the joining between tables and such to the view..)
    Thank you,

    You did not mention if the applicable table contains an ADT columns, nested tables and so on.
    You can also do a basic test to determine if the problem is potentially with the table, or with dbms_stats itself. Create a plain table, e.g.
    create table foo( id number, foo_char varchar2(100), constraint pk_foo primary key( id ) using index );
    Using the exact same dbms_stats parameters, do this table. If it works, it points to a potential problem with the other table - some data structure/data type issue maybe. If it does not, then you have a problem with dbms_stats itself.
    You can also drop the indexes on the DBO table and try dbms_stats with different parameters. I.e. change the conditions to see if the error still occur in order to isolate the problem.
    You also could log an iTar/SR for this with Oracle Support.

  • Ldap problem, ORA-06521: PL/SQL: Error mapping function

    I am getting this error(s)
    ORA-06521: PL/SQL: Error mapping function

    Line 127 is:
    my_dn := DBMS_LDAP.get_dn(my_session, my_entry);
    Both of the 'my_xx' parameters have been successfully set earlier in the script I believe as they produce no errors and DBMS_LDAP.count_entries(my_session, my_message) returns = 1.
    I am following the example at:
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/network.920/a96577/smplcode.htm#636994
    In fact any of the functions used in the 'while loop' in the above example give a similar error.
    Apparently SYS.DBMS_LDAP_API_FFI is a call to an external C program, but this would be a standard Oracle one, not one I have written.
    I am connecting to a non-Oracle ldap server, and have tried several (OpenLDAP 2.X, & Windows 2000 AD), with same results.
    Any suggestions gratefully received.
    Cheers

    Scott,
    Thanks for your concern. I should have explained. I am working in HTMLdb, successfully using ldap to authenticate, but now need to get the logged-in user's name and other details. All my attemps to use the wwv_flow_ldap functions have failed, and I am no resorting to DBMS_LDAP to get what I want. I am hoping thatsome helpful person can shed some light on this problem

  • Recompilation causes: ORA-06521 and ORA-06522

    Hi,
    I've an external function(created in C), which was installed using the normal stuff(associated with a library and used in an external function definition). Everything was working ok, I mean, I was able to call the function from pl/sql programs without any problem. I'm using Oracle version 8.1.7 under Solaris 8.0.
    But then, it was necessary to recompile the function(the C source). I don't know how often Oracle checks or load the OS file(shared library), but after that recompilation I get the following error:
    sqlcode = -6521
    sqlerrm = ORA-06521: PL/SQL: Error mapping function
    ORA-06522: ld.so.1:
    extprocextproc_agent: fatal: cliente_390: can't find symbol
    My sql code for the library and function re-creation is something like this:
    create or replace library lib_cliente_390 as
    '/a/b/c/d/cliente_390.so'
    create or replace function cliente_390
    in_ip in varchar,
    in_puerto in binary_integer,
    in_terms in varchar,
    in_cics in varchar,
    in_nomtran in varchar,
    in_nomtran_esp in varchar,
    in_usuario in varchar,
    in_password in varchar,
    in_trama_env in varchar,
    in_timeout in binary_integer,
    in_loglevel in binary_integer,
    in_logfile in varchar,
    out_term_asig out varchar,
    out_trama_rec out varchar,
    out_desc_codret out varchar
    return binary_integer
    as language c
    name "cliente_390"
    library lib_cliente_390;
    As an additional problem, I tested the same case on a Linux box with Oracle 9, and it gives me another error: a problem with the DLL path. When I change the path for something relative to ${ORACLE_HOME}, then it seems to work(even with recompilation).
    Well, any help will be appreciated. Thanks
    salu2
    dario estepario ...

    I don't know how often Oracle checks or load the OS file(shared library), I believe it loads the file the first time it's called in a session. To get the new version of the extproc you ned to re-connect to the database.
    Cheers, APC

  • ORA-06521: PL/SQL: Error mapping function with 10.1.0 external procedure

    We have an external procedure running fine on 8.1.7 on VMS. After compiling and linking succesfully under 10.1.0, I get ORA-06521 PL/SQL: Error mapping function and ORA-06522: ERROR - vms_dlsym for file x, where x in the filename of the linked executable. Another external procedure that does not connect to the 10.1.0 database runs fine. What could be causing this error in Server 10.1.0 on VMS?
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Here is the code to create the function:
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION f1
    (h_file_name IN VARCHAR2)
    RETURN BINARY_INTEGER
    IS EXTERNAL
    LIBRARY l1
    NAME "f1"
    LANGUAGE C
    WITH CONTEXT
    PARAMETERS
    (CONTEST,
    h_file_name string);
    Here is the beginning of the Pro*C:
    int f1(epctx, h_file_name)
    OCIExtProcContext *epctx;
    char h_file_name[70];
    char h_line_txt [251];
    int lineno;
    FILE *fptr;
    /* register the connection context ... */
    EXEC SQL REGISTER CONNECT USING :epctx;
    The function loads a flat file into the database. It is probably not related but are unable to SQLPLUS/ or SQLLDR/ into the database from an OS autheniticated account (get ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact.) Thanks for taking the time to look at this. There aren't many people trying this on VMS, I'd bet.

    Your issue may relate to XE and it may relate to OCI but it does not relate to SQL and PL/SQL. Consider posting your question in a forum where it will be on topic.
    When you do include full version information (3 decimal places) and the code that is generating the exception.

    It's only a quick guess but have you checked your tnsnames.ora file to ensure you've opened the environment to find the libraries? If you set the EXTPROC_DLLS=ANY, you open the database to security issues but it should tell you if this cause because you can't access the library that contains the symbol.
    SID_LIST_CALLOUT_LISTENER =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME = PLSExtProc)
    (ORACLE_HOME = <oracle_home_directory>)
    (PROGRAM = extproc)
    (ENV = "EXTPROC_DLLS=ONLY:
    <oracle_home_directory>/customlib/writestr1.so
    ,LD_LIBRARY_PATH=<oracle_home_directory>/lib")

      to_char(test_write_rec.HIREDATE,'DD.MM.YYYY')
      to_char(test_write_rec.SAL)
