ORA-01122, ORA-01110, ORA-01200 of an undo file

Hi,
Yesterday there had been a power-problem and when i want to startup the database i got the following error:
ORA-01122: database file 2 failed verification check
ORA-01110: data file 2: '/.../LDPLM000/UNDOTBS01.DBF'
ORA-01200: actual file size of 1589120 is smaller than correct size of 1592960
Blocks
This is an oracle 10.2g and it is not in archivelog mode.
There is a dump from yesterday but we don't have rman.
It is 'only' the file of the undo-tablespace.
How can i solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.
Bianca

Hi;

    Hi K Nani,
    From your error message
ora_01122:database file 8 failed cerification check
    ora_01110:datafile 8:d:\oracle\sid\sapdata1\sr3_5\sr3.data5'
ora_01251:unknown file header version read for file number 8
Looks like Data file is corrupted.
You may refer SAP note 696141 - Composite SAP Note: ORA-01122
    10. ORA-01251: Unknown File Header Version read for file number <file_id>
Reason: The file header cannot be correctly read.
Solution: If you use Oracle 9.2 on WINDOWS and if you already installed the database with Oracle 7.2 or lower, see Note 636466.
               Otherwise: Restore/recovery
Only solution here is restore the database from backup.
Alternate solution If it is a non-production system.
If the file is corrupted, then take the datafile offline and open the database.
    Hope this helps
    Regards,
    Deepak Kori

  • Ora-01122 ora-01100 ora-01200

Just got to a new job.
I try to open the database and it give me these error
ORA-01122: database file 46 failed verification check
    ORA-01110: data file 46: '...../xxxx_index_01.dbf'
ORA-01200: actual file size of 2316800 is smaller than correct size of 2355200
    Here is the problem.
    No backup & NOARCHIVELOG mode
I try recreate the controlfile and reload it and still get the same error.
What can I do to fix this problem?
    Thank You in advance.

You can't fix the files. is this a index tablespaces, right?
If this is the case, please recreate the indexes again in a new tablespace or rebuild them, I'm sending you the scripts for both situations.

  • ORA-01110: ORA-01207: on sysaux01.dbf file

    Hi,
I have a an Oracle 11.2 database running on SuSE Linux, and I did a cold linux backup of the database (shutdown database, and tar all file system to tape). Now I have restored all the files on a new server, and when I try to start the database, it brings the below error.

    ORA-01110: data file 2: '/data1/oradata/prod01/sysaux01.dbf'
ORA-01207: file is more recent than control file - old control file
When I do the restore, all the files have the same datestamp. But After the alter open database command, control01.dbf and system01.dbf files changed their timestamp to today.
    Help.
    Kevin

    Oracle Error :: ORA-01207
file is more recent than control file - old control file
    Cause
The control file change sequence number in the data file is greater than the number in the control file. This implies that the wrong control file is being used. Note that repeatedly causing this error can make it stop happening without correcting the real problem. Every attempt to open the database will advance the control file change sequence number until it is great enough.
    Action
Use the current control file or do backup control file recovery to make the control file current. Be sure to follow all restrictions on doing a backup control file recovery.

You have a mismatch in the control file and data file scn numbers. What was done before the database was getting started? I once saw this error when some one moved one file from another munt point to another and there was no rename give to the control file and the control file got no idea which is this new file and where it had come from?
Try finding the control file which is of the same backup as of this datafile.

  • IR Report Search - ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00936: missing expression

    Hi All,
I had created a IR report based on a table and it was working with no issues.  But after few days, when I try searching using the IR search bar it shows "ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00936: missing expression" error message. I don't see any debug messages or errors in the debug window. The Finder drop down is empty too, there are no columns displayed to filter.
When I recreate the IR report(new page) based on the same table, It works fine and there are no issues with the search.  But the old IR report search doesnt work. I have not modified the any thing in the old report after initial creation. Report uses Primary key based on a sequence.
What might have caused this issue?
Is there a way to intercept the search query from IR report?
    Apex version - 4.2.3.00.08.
    Any help on this appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jagan

Hi MK, as I had mentioned in my post, I don't see any logs in the debug window, query tab.
Can you please guide me how to check the query logs on search?
    Thanks,
    Jagan

i searched for the error and in oracle forum i found a solution .. http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=844287&tstart=0
but after giving the table option it is giving the same error
    tkprof <source.trc> <file.prc> sys=no sort=exeela,fchela,prsela table=old_schema.plan_table explain= /
it again gave the same error.
In both two cases it gives elapsed time results, library cache missing etc but before giving this it throws ORA-00604 error as stated above
then i again correct the tkprof statement ..

Please post here full error message, there should be lines with ORA-00604 and then some other ORA as well.
And are there any trace files generated during this error?
And as You can see from error description, probably You will have to contact with Oracle support in order to solve this case:
    oerr ora 00604
00604, 00000, "error occurred at recursive SQL level %s"
// *Cause:  An error occurred while processing a recursive SQL statement
// (a statement applying to internal dictionary tables).
// *Action: If the situation described in the next error on the stack
// can be corrected, do so; otherwise contact Oracle Support.

  • Error handling function: ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error:ORA-00942: table or view does not exist  is not trapped. Why?

Why APEX 4.1 Error handling function does not trap  the error of missing table?
Say, I create simple application with single IR report page and I also assign standard simple error handling function.
Function works perfectly, except but this case:
If I just drop a table used by report page and then refresh the page I am getting usual APEX error message:
ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
and error handling function is not invoked at all.
Is this a feature or a bug?

    Hi,
Check the corrections given in the note 990764:
    Reason and Prerequisites
Up to now, using a characteristic with its own master data read class as the InfoProvider was not supported. This is now released but it is not available for all modelings. Using the attributes in the query is not supported for characteristics that have their own master data read class. Using the attributes in the query causes a termination. The following errors may occur in this case:
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    Fehler in CL_SQL_RESULT_SET  Include NEXT_PACKAGE
    RAISE_READ_ERROR in CL_RSDRV_VPROV_BASE
    Solution
    SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI
Import Support Package 11 for SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI (BI Patch 11 or SAPKW70011) into your BI system. The Support Package is available once Note 0914305 "SAPBINews BI 7.0 Support Package 11", which describes this Support Package in more detail, has been released for customers.
In urgent cases you can implement the correction instructions.
The correction instructions contain the tightened inspection for characteristics.

  • IR: ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00904: : invalid identifier

    Hi everyone,
has anyone else had this error which has been driving me round the bend during the last three days?
I have an interactive report which used to work fine.
Now it happens (when the page loads/a filter is en- or disabled) that - from time to time, but unpredictable - I receive
    ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00904: : invalid identifier
The report is based on a table function.
I will try to set up a testcase and post the link here, but so far I haven't managed to force the error to occur.
But maybe someone else has already bumped into this kind of error? I would be grateful for any hints!
    Best regards,
    Sabine
    Application Express 4.1.0.00.32
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production

    Hi Jari,
I changed the type definition (the return type of the table function) and extended the select list in the source of the IR.
I do not use 'select *' but reference every column explicitly. So APEX easked me whether to add the new column.
I also tried deleting in recreating the region, but no luck.
    Any more ideas?
    Best regards,

Try to install win 2003 server software, do the fresh installation of oracle software, now copy the datafiles and controlfiles to same locations as you did on winxp.
get back to us, if still not out of the woods. I still doubt that a simple restore would do the trick, since you doing it across different platforms, might be I can be wrong, but this is what I personally feel, you not able to start the database on winxp.

  • ORA-20006: ORA-01722: invalid number ORA-06512: at "APPS.WF_NOTIFICATION"

    Hi,
I am having a wft program, which checks a function activity and depending on the value returned sends difference notifications.
The package body completed successfully from backend and while running the workflow program it sends a notification also. But while opening the notification it gives the following error,
    ORA-20006: ORA-01722: invalid number ORA-06512: at "APPS.WF_NOTIFICATION", line 5328 ORA-06512: at line 5
I have 3 procedures in my package body and all the 3 procedures have exceptions defined as follows, if they are using any workflow activities.
    ==========================================================
    EXCEPTION
         WHEN OTHERS THEN
              WF_CORE.context (
              'WFCustCheck',
              'MisCustDataFromTableDoc',
              document_id,
              display_type,
              document,
              document_type,
              SQLERRM
    RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR (-20006, SQLERRM);
    ==========================================================
But I am not able to figure out what is causing this error. What does this "line 5328 ORA-06512: at line 5" in the error message indicate?. My package body has only 600 lines. And why is the error message not displaying the procedure name? though I have defined the procedure name in the exception.
What is the best way to get the procedure name in the error message? So that it becomes easier for identifying which procedure is causing the erro?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Instead of the RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR command, just replace that with RAISE;
The error is coming out of the package that is sending the notification (WF_NOTIFICATION), which is invoked when you open the notification. I'm guessing that line 5 is the line in your code though.
Are you using documents to send the notification, or are they purely defined in the .wft file?
