Hello,
I’m using Oracle 10g (10.2.0.4.0) on Windows Server 2003 and I get ORA-07445 and ORA-00472 errors.

  • I'm getting ORA-07445 [kksLockDelete()+465] errors on a 10.2.0.3 Database

    Hello
    I am getting the following Error on our database when I run a procedure that takes many hours to complete:
    Mon Aug 23 10:39:43 2010
    Errors in file /oracle/admin/HLBCP/bdump/hlbcp_j000_27898.trc:
    ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kksLockDelete()+465] [SIGSEGV] [Invalid permissions for mapped object [0x000000048] [] []
    It seems that when the DB is under pressure or a select with a large result set is executed this error occurs, and kills my procedure
    As I understand that SIGSEGV refers to OS (C Compiler) / Hardware issues? Is this correct?
    How can I test the OS and Compiler to ensure they are in a healthy condition?
    I Currently have an SR opened with Oracle but they are saying that 10.2.0.3 is desupported and will not be able to provide a fix.
    Upgrading to 10.2.0.4 is not an option for us.
    This particular database is contingency database (Using Dataguard)
    However from time to time we taken a Copy of the Contingency database and open in it on the contingency server to test it.
    (hence we discovered this issue)
    I am convinced that the issue we are having is hardware/OS related, as it does not happen on our Live Database which is on a different server.
    Has anyone encountered this issue before?
    How did you resolved it?

  • Unable to create SDO_TIN causing ORA-07445, ORA-13199

    Dear experts,
    I have Oracle 11.2.0.3 installed on a machine with Windows Server 2008 R2.
    Target size of Oracle SGA and PGA memory (MEMORY_TARGET) is 21 474 836 480.
    The database is in NOARCHIVELOG mode.
    I'm trying to create TIN using sdo_tin data type. The code, showed below, works fine for a certain amount of points (it works upto ~ 5 000 000 points).
    DECLARE
    tin sdo_tin;
    BEGIN
    tin := SDO_TIN_PKG.init
    'BASE_TIN', 'TIN', 'BLK_TIN', 'blk_capacity=50000',
    mdsys.sdo_geometry (3008, 32636, NULL,
    mdsys.sdo_elem_info_array (1, 1007, 3),
    mdsys.sdo_ordinate_array (671208.722, 3571014.191, 12.447, 678470.293, 3578602.733, 226.409)),
    0.0005,
    3,
    NULL
    INSERT INTO base_tin VALUES (tin);
    SDO_TIN_PKG.create_tin (tin, 'INPM');
    END;
    When I run this code for full data set (~27 000 000 points), I get following error in alert.log (after ~1.5 hours of computing):
    Exception [type: ACCESS_VIOLATION, UNABLE_TO_WRITE] [ADDR:0x44] [PC:0x146A7E2F0, mdtnmconnect()+76]

    O/S-Error: (OS 2) The system cannot find the file specified.
    What would be possible workaround?
    Please help.

    Hi,
    You mentioned you're in NOARCHIVELOG mode but you're getting an ORA-00308 error. This might be happening if the LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n parameter is still pointing to an archive log destination and if the default value for the LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_STATE_n parameter is set to 'ENABLE'. In this case the database database will still attempt to open the required archive log file during recovery of a long running transaction.
    To resolve that issue you could set LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_STATE_n to 'defer'. See: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e25513/initparams124.htm#REFRN10087
    However that issue is really just a side effect of having to rollback a long running transaction, so the main problem still exists.
    I checked MOS for any mention of mdtnmconnect() or mdtngt_edge. I found two old reports...
    Bug 7176267 : ACCESS_VIOLATION WHILE BUILDING A TIN, DEPENDING ON BLOCK SIZE USED
    Bug 6606678 : CREATION OF A TIN FAILS WITH ORA-7445 [MDTNMMKEDGE]
    ... but there doesn't seem to be any conclusion in either of those. If anything it sounds like it might be worth playing around with the blk_capacity parameter to see if it helps (i.e. trying increasing and reducing it).
    Have you checked through the kugioas_ora_58460.trc trace file for anything of potential use?
    Apart from some basic prototyping I haven't really used SDO_TIN so can't comment much on how to troubleshoot it.
    By the way, what's your exact Oracle version - just the base 11.2.0.3 or have you added any patch bundles (if not, then you probably should) as they might help.

  • ORA-02068+ORA-03113 on database link

    Hi all
    I have the following scenario:
    The application is connecting to DB (Oracle 10.2.0.5) using jdbc connection pool.
    The database is a 3-node RAC.
    Using DB Link we access a PLSQL package on a remote database (10.2.0.4).The remote database is a single instance.
    The remote database is not located behind FW.
    Sometimes the remote DB is restarted, but we seem to hit these errors about 30 mins afterwards.
    From time to time we get these errors and we cant find the root cause.
    Any ideas how to address this?
    Thanks,
    Rudi

  • 11.1.0.7: got ORA-07445 [qesmaGetTblSeg_INT()] errors; no help in MetaLink

    A string of ORA-07445 [qesmaGetTblSeg_INT()] and [qesmaGetIdxSeg_INT()] errors were raised in DB 11.1.0.7 Enterprise Edition (64-bit) on Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard x64 Edition, SP2. A check of MetaLink and other search engines turned up no related references. These errors appeared in trace when the database became unresponsive, and again, briefly, about 5-10 minutes after I shut down the database and restarted the server. Would someone kindly suggest a source of useful information about these errors and possible corrective action(s)?
    Thank you,
    Bill

    I may yet create an SR, but for now I am seeking information elsewhere. The system is in production. It is functioning normally at this time.

    check the arguments for ORA-7445 errors.
    7445 errors are internal you need to contact oracle support, and also for work around you can pass those arguments in *Troubleshoot an ORA-600 or ORA-7445 Error Using the Error Lookup Tool [ID 7445.1]*
    due to 7445 erros database was hung up/not responeded, so may be it is the reason for 3113 errors(inbound connection timeout)
    and post the value of sqlnet_authentication_services from sqlnet.ora file..

    Have you logged a call with Oracle support? There are many causes of 7445's and oracle supports web site has a handy set of documents about them. Also they have:- : Troubleshoot an ORA-600 or ORA-7445 Error Using the Error Lookup Tool. I would highly recomend talking to them.

  • ORA-07445 error in 10.2.0.4 database on Windows Server 2003

    Hello,
    We run an Oracle 10.2.0.4 database on a Windows 2003 Server. Yesterday we started encountering an odd, repeating error:
    ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [ACCESS_VIOLATION] [__VInfreq__kqlCompileSynonym+3038] [PC:0x2F93172] [ADDR:0x30] [UNABLE_TO_READ] []
    I've tried researching this error on Metalink and Google, however I have not been able to find any information on the specific "VInfreq__kqlCompileSynonym" portion of the issue. I do not see any immediate issues with the existing synonyms in our database, so I am uncertain what else to check.
    We've tried a database reboot, a server reboot, and checked the Event Viewer logs.... None of these things proved useful. :) Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any insight in to the specifics of this error?
    Thanks!
    -Sabrina

    I'm assuming you logged a TAR about this on Metalink?
    (sorry, an SR on Metalink)
