ORA-12001 : execution of 1 Job faile ORA-06512

Hello,
I am execute a procedure than run a Job of Visual Basic 6.0, the connection is with oo4o.
This code :
PROCEDURE SP_EXECUTE_PROC
DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT(n_jobnow, 'BEGIN USROWSUC.USP_PRC_VERIF_PREC; END;', SYSDATE, 'NULL');
DBMS_JOB.RUN(n_jobnow);
COMMIT;
END;
The error is the next :
ORA-12011: execution of 1 jobs failed ORA-06512: at "USROWSUC.SP_EXECUTE_PROC", line 27
ORA-06512: at line 1.
This error is only once, the next execution is ok
The database es Oracle 8.1.7.
Help me please!
Best regards,
Joseph

Why you don't call your USROWSUC.USP_PRC_VERIF_PREC procedure directly from VB? You have the same result.
VERY VERY BAD: Executing your job you will create each time a new DB-JOB.
If you want to mantain your very bad procedure try to move the commit statement after the submit call.
PROCEDURE SP_EXECUTE_PROC
  DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT(n_jobnow, 'BEGIN USROWSUC.USP_PRC_VERIF_PREC; END;', SYSDATE, 'NULL');
  COMMIT;
  DBMS_JOB.RUN(n_jobnow);
END;Bye, Aron

  • This job fail

    Hi ,
    I have scheduled a job and it failed with these errors :
    Error running job 62:
    ORA-12011: execution of 1 jobs failed
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_IJOB", line 406
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_JOB", line 272
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    what i dun understand is that procedure only has < 100 lines and the error is asking me to look at line 406 & 207 .
    some info : the procedure getting data from v$sort_usage , v$session , v$sort_segment (not sure if this is an issue but when i manually run it in pl/sql it could be run with no problem but not as a scheduled job)
    appreciate ur advise
    tks & rdgs

    I'm getting the same exact errors. I'm also new to the whole dbms_job package. I've read up a quite a bit on the syntax of the package/parameters and read some threads here, but still no joy.
    Since the OP didn't post his code here's how I submitted my job:
    declare
    v_id number;
    p_proc varchar2(2000);
    begin
    -- netops.run_dump_csv() is a defined procdure that takes no parameters
    -- I've tried it with/without the parentheses - shown with
    p_proc := 'netops.run_dump_csv()';
    dbms_job.submit(job=>v_id, what=>p_proc||';', next_date=>sysdate + 1, interval=>'trunc(sysdate)+1+(1/24)');
    commit;
    end;
    It submits fine but Oracle doesn't like it at runtime. I assume I'm passing some bad values somewhere, but darned if I can tell where. Any help anyone?
    Earl
    P.S. I assuming I can test this by running:
    begin
    dbms_job.run(2826); --2826 is the job number
    end;

    Hello everyone,
    I need a help on importing data from a schema in server 1 to the same schema in server 2 via network link. I receive following error when I try to submit a job on Enterprise Manager:

    It says network link is active when I test the network link to make sure its connectivity. I create the network link as a system account. I'm trying to do an import from an Oracle database 10.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.1. My 10g database is on ms windows 2003x64 while my 11g database is on OEL 5.4x64.
    What should I do for now?
    Thank you.

    It will be wise to run the Oracle supply streams health check script to check your existing streams environment.
    From the result, you can also open a tar with Oracle to see if they can help you with the setup.
    In addition to the ORA-01403 error, you can also run some of the Oracle Streams packages (Managing Apply Errors) to see the full detail of what is missing that caused the Ora-01403 error.
    I will also try to implement a smoke test using the simple heartbeat table suggested by Oracle Streams, if that is working, then you can begin your full scale setup in your environment knowing that the base Streams Structure is setup correctly.

  • Export scheduler job but chain step and chain rule failed with ORA-24150 ORA-06512 during executed sql script.

    Hi Folks,
    I used expdp utility to export all Oracle scheduler jobs and chains with below method, after that generate sql script by impdp, later on executing sql script encountered some errors.
    Only chain step and chain rule for executing script. Does anyone bright me some light? Thanks!
    My env: Oracle 11g + Oracle Linux 5.5
    My steps as below:
    1. export(expdp) oracle scheduler job(chain)
    2. generate sql script by impdp.
    3. remove orginal scheduler job(chain)
    4. execute sql script

    So I tried to create evaluation context and re-executed script(only exception setion.) the first error has gone. For the second still have some issue.

    Cause: An invalid user or role name was specified.
    Action: Check that a valid user or role name is used.
    If you are using IMPDP then no need to mention the user name, if the user is different then you can use remap_schema option,
    If dumpfile has only one schema then no need to mention the clause SCHEMAS also.
    change as SCHEMAS=FCATDB instead of SCHEMAS=FCATDB:FCATDB

    Like the error message says, you don't have a global_lexer.  So, you need to create a global_lexer and that lexer must have at least a default sub_lexer, then you can use that global_lexer in your index parameters.  Please see the demonstration below, including reproduction of the error and solution.

    The error message suggests its the issue with Teradata source database to which SSIS tries to connect within the data flow task. Make sure Teradata database is available and LOGON is enabled.

  • Worker fails when running MSDODPCODE.sql causing ORA-33290 and ORA-06512

    Hi All,
    Hopefully somebody can help / point me in the right direction. I'm testing the process of upgrading our R12.0.5 Financials (Database 10.2.0.4) to R12.1.3 and have hit a problem when applying the 12.1.1 Maintenance Pack.
    The worker has failed with the following in it's log file.
    "sqlplus -s APPS/***** @/u01/app/applmgr/CGSYSTST/apps/apps_st/appl/msd/12.0.0/patch/115/sql/MSDODPCODE.sql
    begin

    ORA-06512: at "APPS.MSD_AW_LOADER", line 10
    ORA-06512: at line 3"
    It might be worth noting that I also hit the same problem when testing RUP 6 for R12.0.6 - it was partially because of this that I decided to scrap going to 12.0.6 1st and go straight to R12.1.3 - making it a much bigger upgrade.
    Thanks
    Andy

  • ORA-06502/ORA-06512 at execution owa_util.mime_header

    Hi, APEX gurus!
    I try to write a procedure to display bfile contention /images/ into APEX page.
    I have a table :
    -TEMP_FLAGS (ID NUMBER(3) NOT NULL, NAME BFILE)
    - procedure display_country_flags_bfile
    display_country_flags_bfile (p_id NUMBER) is
    CURSOR c_flags(p_flag NUMBER) IS
    SELECT name
    FROM temp_flags_bfile
    WHERE id = p_flag;
    r_flags c_flags%ROWTYPE;
    v_bfile bfile;
    lgh_file number;
    v_dir_alias varchar2(256);
    v_filename varchar2(256);
    v_mime varchar2(255);
    begin
    open c_flags(p_id);
    fetch c_flags INTO r_flags;
    CLOSE c_flags;
    v_bfile := r_flags.name;
    dbms_lob.filegetname(v_bfile, v_dir_alias, v_filename);
    lgh_file := dbms_lob.getlength(v_bfile);
    Dbms_Lob.Fileopen(v_bfile, Dbms_Lob.File_Readonly);
    owa_util.mime_header( nvl(v_mime,'application/octet'), FALSE );
    htp.p('Content-length: '||lgh_file);
    htp.p('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="'||v_filename||'"');
    owa_util.http_header_close;
    wpg_docload.download_file(v_bfile);
    Dbms_Lob.Fileclose(v_bfile);
    end display_country_flags_bfile;
    If i execute directly in Toad i get error below:
    ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.OWA_UTIL", line 354
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.OWA_UTIL", line 413
    ORA-06512: at "STAT.DISPLAY_COUNTRY_FLAGS_BFILE", line 20
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    In Report attributes of APEX page, i use HTML expression to populate column value as call this procedure with appropriate parameter but image just not showing.
    I appreciate any help and opinion.
    P.S. I'm a newbie in APEX and have minimal experience.
    P.S.2 I forgot - Oracle 10g XE and APEX 2.1 built-in
    Thanks, Rado
    Edited by: user7637288 on 16-Dec-2008 05:12

    Thanks, rafix.
    But i'm using Oracle XE with storage limit /1GB/ and i don't want store any images in database. I prefer to use bfile type with link to files on OS level.
    By the way , just for tests, i try to use blobs on my own table with simular procedure, which throws the same error - with owa_util.mime_header. And think that the problem is related to owa_util package.
    My APEX version is 2.1 - built-in in Oracle XE, not 3.1

  • DBMS_LDAP call fails with ORA-06512 Error Mapping function

    Hi Libin,
    Can you please explain to me the parameters that you put in the Global Preferences, the LDAP_port,LDAP_user,and the others, because I dont know where I need to search in the server this parameters and I dont understand su much of OID.
    if you can give to me and little description of that parameters,this would thank for much.

    I have fixed the problem by own.
    Seems there are some while space in the endpoint url.
    Fix
    http_req:= utl_http.begin_request
    trim(l_endpoint_url)
    ,'POST'
    ,'HTTP/1.1'
    It works...
