i need to install oracle Database 10.2.0.5 on AIX Power Series 64 bit.
I have checked on oracle.com but there is only 10.2.0.1 available for my requirement.

So what i need to do?? Please direct me to proper docs .

You need to install first 10.2.0.1 setup than you should apply 10.2.0.5 patch.For patch you need metalink account
10.2.0.5 Patch Set - Availability and Known Is [ID 1087991.1 ]

For your issue i suggest below steps
1. Use 10.2.0.1 setup and install Oracle software only
2. Use 10.2.0.5 patch and make your level 10.2.0.5
3. Create database with dbca utulity

IBM AIX power 6 on UCS servers

There is a DC environment, hosted on IBM blade servers, they have different OS's, one of the OS's is IBM AIX Power 6 which is hosting an Oracle Database.
We would like to provide a DC recovery site using Cisco UCS servers, before doing so, I want to be certain about below points:
IBM AIX power 6 compatibility with CISCO UCS servers?
If we decided to choose CISCO UCS blade servers, what are the limitations toward the virtaulization?
If we virtualize both environments, the current DC and the new DR, what kind of limitations we may face in terms of virtuatization features?

Power 6 is the IBM hardware chip archtitecture; UCS is 100% based on Intel chip set.

I want install oracle 8.1.7.4 on AIX 5.3, but i but keep install oracle 8.1.7 4 in 32 - bit , Can i get any problem ?

Oracle 8.1.7.4 on AIX 5.3

Hello everyone.
I have to set up an Oracle application on AIX 5.3 which works only with Oracle 8.1.7.4, but Oracle doesn't support 8th version anymore.
I need to test the performance of application on new hardware platform.
Does anyone know there can I download Oracle 8.1.7.4 for AIX?

2- Group to user- ORA_DBA
3 - you can check log on tab in the service properties and set the username and password who responsible about this services
As i already stated 3 works. but i want it to work under Local System and not under any user.

Can't open oracle functions after installation R12 On windows 2008 64 bit

i am installed oracle R12.1.1 on windows server 2008 R2 64 bit,then the application is opening but all oracle forms functions can't open,the message appear frm-92101 ,i am try the solutions in net but no effect,and i am getting another message from windows that and this appear when try to open another oracle functions

I can't download Oracle 8.1.7 Enterprise Edition for Solaris 32 bit. After filling out the form with the questions...I click on the actual link, but the box never pops up. The status bar on my Internet Explorer slowly increases, but never allows me to download. It just hangs. I have tried multiple times, and I can download other verions from your site...and have many times in the past. Could you please fix this. Thanks.

We had installed oracle 10g standard edition on windows server 2008 64 bit. After one hour use of ODBC connection, we are getting a error message like 'Oracle client and networking components were not found. These components are supplied by Oracle Corporation and are part of the Oracle Version 7.3.3 or later client software installation. Provider is unable to function until these components are installed'

Does anyone know how do I connect from Oracle 11g 11.1.0.7 on LINUX 64-bit machines to SQL Server 2000 DB please so I can set up a regular data extraction job to migrate data? Does this use products I am already licenced for under Oracle Enterprise Edition?

Please note that Developer Suite 10R2 is NOT certified(cannot be installed) for Windows 7 64-bit.
For an official statement check this note:
Forms / Reports Builder Certification on MS Windows 7 (Doc ID 1112213.1)
Developer suite 10gR2 is certified only on Windows 7 32-bit:
1292919.1 - Certification of Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2) on Windows 7 (32-bit)
You can install Developer suite 10R2 on Windows 64-bit in xp mode.
11gR2(11.1.2 version) is certified and can be installed on Windows 7 64-bit
Also IE9 is not certified with 10gR2.Check:
