Oracle 10g(10.2.0) installed successfully but is not working in Windows 7

Hi,
I have installed successfully oracle 10g client in windows 7. After making modification in refhost.xml file as :--

<OPERATING_SYSTEM>
<VERSION VALUE="6.1"/>
</OPERATING_SYSTEM>
under </CERTIFIED_SYSTEMS>
It worked for few days but now again i m not able to access the Client again. I checked out the file refhost.xml
and noticed that the changes which i had made is present there.
Please help me on this as due to this i am stuck in the middle of my work.
Any suggestions regarding is higly appreciable !!

Patches can only be downloaded from My Oracle Support - https://support.oracle.com - you will need a valid Customer Support Identifier (CSI), which is given when you purchase support from Oracle.

There's two different versions of Flash. The ActiveX version for IE, and the Plugin version for other browsers. Did you install the correct version? This forum's software doesn't thing that Flash is installed for Firefox or the Plugin is disabled.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit

ITunes says installed successfully, but is not on my computer.

I just purchased a new iPod and I have a Windows 7 computer. It says it installed successfully and asks me if I want a desktop icon. I click, "yes," then "finish." I looked on my desktop, in the program folders, and in the C drive folders where it says it installed, but it is not there. Can anyone help with this problem?

Flash 10.1 for OS X says "install successful" but doesn't work

I've tried on numerous occasions to download Flash Player 10.1 for OS X 10.4.11 but even though I get the "download successful" and "install successful" notifications, when I try to access a flash site it prompts me to install flash player. If I search for Flash Player I cannot see it in any of the applications or utilities. Please help!! Thanks

Try uninstalling the current copy of Flash then reinstalling then repair permissions.
Uninstall Flash
Install the most recent version of Flash here.
Adobe advises repairing permissions when troubleshooting Flash.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
Your Flash plugins are located in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins. You can get information about the plug-in by control clicking the file then click: Get Info

i haved SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version on my notebook (Thinkpad X61 - Windows XP Pro) installed.
I have made as follows:
1- install MS Loopback Adapter
2- add in windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts: 10.10.0.10 <machine name>
3- install SAP NetWeaver 7.01
There aren't any error.
If i start sapmmc, follow the syslog entry: "Communications data: Service initialization failed".
i can connect with the server on SAP Logon. it does almost everything, also database is ok, i can create a table,... . but i can't program. i made a example programm, this programm is saved, program window does not appear and it does as if it is running, but it really depends. BAPI don't work.
can someone help me, please ...

it looks you instaled everything ok. In trial version you can
construct new structures, but not the tables, as we should
use the tables of the flight data model.
Propably your program is also running ok, as some reports are
supposed only for debugging, and have not any results screen.
Try other reports.

Chrome Extension Converted & Installed Successful - but will not open.

I have tried both installation methods for the smart waiver extensions.
1. Using the smart waiver extension code as listed in the Chrome store

2. Downloading and converting the CRX extension file
In both instances, I was able to convert to Firefox compatibility, and it even installed in the add ons extensions area for Firefox. However, the icon to open the extension does not show.
I've already tried the following:
1. making sure the add-on tool bar was checked
2. Customizing the toolbar, but the icon didn't show
3. Restoring defaults int he customizing toolbar, icon still did not show
4. Restore firefox to defaults
5. Checked that I wasn't in a security or privacy setting that would disallow the task
So I'm at a loss - I've tried other Chrome extensions to test. I've converted them successfully, and got them into the same add-on extension screen installed in firefox. But no way to open the extension, and the icons are never recognized.

Java installed fine, but will not work.

Hello there! I am having an issue getting Java to work on my girlfriend's XP Pro PC.... The latest version installed great, and Java's install tester recognizes the install, but applets will not run... I've done everything I could find to do, which included uninstall/reinstall... I even uninstalled Microsoft VM (which didn't even show up as being on there, but it still uninstalled), REinstalled it, and then installed Java... I checked and rechecked all the settings I could find... and everything is set right... One suggestion was to check proxy settings, but everything seems to be cool there, too.. My PC and hers are hooked up through a router, and we both use ZoneAlarm pro, and all our settings are identical... All of our internet settings are the same as well, and the new Java works great on my PC... One note - and this is just a "by the way" - I've noticed that her computer has weird stuff like happen this from time to time, and I've always wondered if it's because we she upgraded to XP Pro from ME... I know, yikes!!! Ha! But anyway, I hope somebody can help.... I'm no developer, but I'm very experienced with a computer, and I know how to use regedit, etc., so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Meanwhile I'll try to search the forum for similar threads... Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, this happens with all clutter-based applications (caribou, cheese, gnibbles, gnome-documents, sushi, quadrapassel, totem) on systems that no have hardware acceleration, and use software rasterizer.
Solutions, what I know:
1. Install the appropriate DRI driver, if available.
2. Rebuild packages without clutter, if possible.
3. Look for alternatives.
Any other solution?

HTTP Request returns success, but does not work in azure

I created a simple worker role project that sends an HTTP GET request to the weather underground site to update my weather stats from my weather station. The data it sends is pulled from a SQL database stored on Azure.
The solution works perfectly when I run it on my local emulator. When I deploy it to staging in azure it runs without error. I even get an HTTP success as the response to my GET. However, my weather underground stats don't get updated.
I connected the VS debugger to azure and can step through the code and it all seems to work as expected. I get back an appropriate HTTP response.

I figured it out. Upon close inspection I noticed that the date and time value that I was setting in my query string was off by 4 hours. See, azure uses UTC time. The service I was calling expects the datetime to be UTC as well. So,
I was doing a simple conversion to UTC time in my code. However, because the time was being stored in the database as local time, when I would call the conversion in code it was basically adding 0 hours to it because the azure instance was already running
in UTC. So, I ended up doing a little time zone math to calculate the difference between my zone and UTC and then added that to the time coming from the database.
The reason it was returning success was because the service allows you to update older records. However, if you are just looking at current weather conditions you would think that it wasn't being updated.
So remember - Azure runs on UTC time!!!

Just installed PRO 7, is not working with Windows 8.1

Not surprising, particularly if a 64-bit system. It needs to run in the 32-bit mode as a minimum. It may not run at all. I was successful with AA7 on Win7, both 32 and 64-bit systems. However, the Adobe PDF printer and AcroTray failed and a workaround was required. I only did it as a test and do not use that configuration anymore.

Did you download Windows Support Software when you started installing windows via Bootcamp. If yes you need to then install the Support Software after installing windows which contains Windows drivers for Mac hardware.

Is the volume muted? Click on the volume icon in the system tray to see if it shows as muted. If that's the case, I know of a workaround to fix this because if you unmute the speakers now, the condition will come back when you reboot your computer. I don't know the exact steps off the top of my head at the moment as I'm not in front of my machine. Check this first and reply if muting was the problem and I will detail the steps needed to fix the problem.
