Oracle 10g registration key

Hi,
first at all, sorry by my poor english.
I wanted to install the 10g and self-study guide that Oracle sent me in the mail. The install requires a registration key, made available at oracle.com.
After filling in all the forms required to register, I wind up at a "Survey Error", and of course no key.
If Oracle 10g it is free, why asking for a registration key ??.
How I can solve this problem ?
Exist any trick to install it ?
Please I really need help in this !!!

I know that Oracle isn't free, sorry it was my error.
I received the Oracle 10g Database + Software + Self-Study guide from the Oracle Company via Postal.
When I try to install the database, a windows appear asking for the registration key...
I follow the instructions to receive by email the key, but when completing the steps give me an error (404 page not found).
Consequently I do not obtain the key and I cannot install
the database.

No database product from Oracle needs registration to use the product..
You need to register yourself if you want access to the discussion forum for the Oracle Database 10g Release 2 Express Edition (XE). This is [probably] because the XE is free to use, even for production, and Oracle would like to get an idea of how many people are actually using it.
All other Editions (Standard Edition 1, Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition and Personal Edition) may be used free for any lenght of time - but only to evaluate whether the product will work for your situation. If you want to use that version (not XE) for production, for test, for developement or for education, you must purchase an approrpiate license.

Registration Key for Oracle 10g

Iam trying get a registration key for Oracle 10g
but after choosing DVD or CD Option and hit Continue
button I get this message:

An unexpected exception has occurred when contacting Database. Cannot proceed further.

Registration Key for 9i database download

I am trying to get my registration key to download the 9i database but it was sent to an old email account of mine. So I reregistered with my new email address but have not received the registration key. Also, when I was done filling out the info for otn registration it did not make it clear that something would be sent to me? I'm not sure it everything worked properly. How do I get my registration key?

Registration key by instalation of oracle 10g

Hello I buy book with instalation cd of oracle. When i try to install it i need a registration key. Where can I get this key.

The registration key must be from the "Author" of the book to "lock" the contents of that book and NOT for the Oracle software because you can download the Oracle software for free (personal use) directly from Oracle.
Check out the inside of the book, the labels, the box and everything you received to find that registration key.

receive a password and message "Thank you for registering", but never get the key necessary to install software on disk that came with textbook--very frustrating

Registration Key required for trial 10g

I wanted to install the 10g and self-study guide that Oracle sent me in the mail. The install requires a registration key, made available at oracle.com.
After filling in all the forms required to register, I wind up at a "Survey Error", and of course no key.
I then spent 20 minutes in many different automated attendant menus, trying to figure out how to get a human to help me. After being told frequently how important my call was, and how menus had been changed to "expedite" my call, I reached Wendy - twice, in fact. She told me to wait to be transferred, then press six.
This took me to a voice mail box, with a promise that someone from sales would return my call.
At this point I gave up, and composed this little message. I am not impressed.

Not receiving Registration Key for my Oracle product

I have tried creating 3 different accounts with 3 different email addresses, and have not receive 1 email on any of them. I have to have Oracle installed by tomorrow night, and because your website isn't working this isn't going to happen. Can you send me a registration key ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

XML SCHEMA registration for XML TYPE (storing XML files in Oracle 10g)

I have created the XML Schema for the XML file stored in Oracle 10g and also added this Schema into the database. I have related that schema with the column in the table which contains the XML file. When i execute the query to fetch the data from the stored file i am getting a blank resultset. Is registering the XML Schema is necessary, if yes then please let me know the process of doing it. I have tried following steps to register Schema, but it is not working

Download registration key fails

I have got the Oracle Database 10g CDs. When trying to install i have to get a registration key from Oracle. Clicking on the button "Click here to get your password" I have to log in and continuing I am directed to a site where I can choose between CD or DVD. Then I end in "Sorry this page was not found". It has been the same for some days now.
I really would like to install Oracle ;-)
What can I do?

...got the same problem. Then I called Tech line, they passed me around...ended up to a Sales rep, and he asked me if I wanted to purchase a license :)

Registration key

I received Oracle Database 10g disk set few months back.
I did not get around to install soon enough and started installation today.
I t asked to get registratin key from http://www.oracle.com/go/?&Svc=2758738&Act=56. I get error on this page and can not install the product.
Need help.

Registration key not emailed

I am a student at a local community college taking an Oracle9i class. I have the software that came with my books. Instructions led me to register with the Oracle Technology Network (OTN). I am supposed to receive an email with the registration key that will allow me to load the software. I have been waiting about 5 hours.
That seems like a very long time, and I wonder if there is a problem. I have made many phone calls and no one knows what to tell me : -(

The registration program in question is probably defunct. However, you can download and install Oracle Database 10g:

or Oracle9i Database:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oracle9i/index.html
...right now, with no registration key required.

Registration key vs. password?

I'm trying to install 10g from a Course Technology student CD. The installation wants a registration key, which the interface advises will be emailed to me upon registration. I've registered the software and received a numerical "password" -- that interface tells me the password is needed for the install. The install will not accept the "password" as a valid registration, and the registration screen will not email me a "registration key." Any ideas?

AFAIK, none of the Oracle software requires any form of software key to install. You need to contact the Course Vendor to find out what they are doing.
And, of course, you could easily download Oracle DB 10g from http://otn.oracle.com (look for the 'Download > Database' menu item) without any key or cost.

CD's for Oracle 10g

Hello,
I used to receive CD's of products launched by Oracle for development purpose. Is there a link for ordering free CD's for Oracle 10g DB server and Application server?

Oracle CDs normally do not have a registration key for the software.
However, a number of CDs are handed out at various events (both Oracle and non-Oracle events). Often there is a 'registration key' tied to the event.
You need to describe where you received the CD and what you see on the screen when you get asked for the key.
(Also - you might take note of the date of the messages above yours.)
