Oracle 10G release2 documentation download not complete?

When i download the 10G release2 documentation zipfile and extract that zipfile, some portal links - installation - does not work :F:\Oradocs\10G_release2\nav\portal_11.htm does not exists. At otn it normally works. Is the zipfile not complete?

i tried reconfiguring listener. but its giving me
ora-12170 error. what to do ?Your problems is the Windows Error: 60: .... a Microsoft problem (probably spelled 'V i s t a').
According to one list I have, that translates to "Error 60 The remote adapter is not compatible.". And that possibly means that your Service. Pack install probably reset the firewall and reset all the Defender settings you had to neutralize to make this work in the first place.
So ... go back to your Control Panel and figure out every setting that could possibly affect the network. Turn them ALL to 'play nice' (aka off). Record them as you turn 'em off. Get the listener working. TUrn 'em on one at a time until it breaks. Let us now the results.
And ... which bleeping Vista. Vista is NOT an operating system , but a family of them. Not surprisingly, there are differences among the members of the family. Not surprisingly some of those differences screw Oracle in some editions.

Did you also create database while installation ?
If yes then
C:\> set oracle_sid=yoursid
C:\> sqlplus username/password
If not then, please create the database first.

Issue with lock file in Oracle 10g app server - MDB not running

Hi,
I have Oracle 10g & MQ 6 on my laptop. I generated JNDI bindings for app server-MQ by giving ip address of my machine first. Then i changed it to "localhost" & generated new set of .bindings file.
With this new set i am able to send messages from my program to a queue. I also have an MDB which should listen to the same queue.
However now my mdb is not listening to the queue & i suspect it is due to host address change, - because each time i start the server, i see a lock file created "OracleASRouter_store.lock" - under j2ee\home\persistance. And below is the content of the same -

As per few suggestions on this site, I deleted this file & restated app server, deleted whole content of persistance folder, restarted app server. But each time i see this file created and also see the ip address in log.xml under j2ee\home\log\oc4j

The only way that can throw a null pointer is when aFactory is NULL. I really doubt this case because, the same thing is doen in init() of FacesServlet. If it had failed there, the exception should have occured during server startup.
This leaves me more and more confused....I am desperate for some help now :((

Oracle 10g Report Server is Not Starting Up?

I have installed Oracle 10g Developer Suite (10.1.2.0.2) and OS is Windows 2003 Server R2 SP2 32-Bit, i have run this Command rwserver server = server name start for starting up my report server,it show error message REP-56105: Engine {0} died with error:* and report server status is shutdown.

1) Please post the version of Reports and the OS because some problems could be version specific and OS specific
2) Enable tracing

Oracle 10g DB listener does not work.

I am in a terrible situation.
My oracle 10g db listener often hang without any sign.
For example , sometimes user sql select one minute ago , then the database could't be conected next minute .
Even i command lsnrctl stop and start , the listener is over .
I have to kill process then start listener.
I try to find out what for , but i am don't know how to do .

Oracle 10G installed Enterprise manager not working

I have installed oracle 10g on my laptop having enterprise linux 4(on VM Ware) . All the things are working fine when i use database using sqlplus, but i am not able to start enterprise manager. the first time i started the database i was able to start enterprise manager.

Internet Downloads not Completing

In the past two days, some odd things have been happening with Internet apps.
1) iTunes can't complete downloads of podcasts and video files (I haven't tried to purchase new songs.)
2) Certain web-sites won't completely load leaving some of the elements on the page empty or pictures showing only the alternate name. (Doesn't matter if I'm using Safarie, Chrome or Firefox).
3) Other sites get stuck when loading what I assume to be java apps. For instance, YouTube's myvideosupload page stops after loading 14 of 15 items. The "loading" pane never changes to "Upload Video or Record from Webcame" so I'm unable to load new video.
4) Even the progress bar on this page is stuck at about 80%. (Using Firefox.)
I'm at wits end. My other Mac works fine and I've rebooted the Airport Extreme and cable modem. I've rebooted the Mac Pro several times, run Onyx, run repair from the Snow Leopard disk, cleared browser history and cache. For the iTunes problem, I've deleted the half downloaded podcast files and the plist file associated with the downloads.
What can I do next?

Just in case, double check that your phone has an internet connection - TS1398 (Wi-Fi) and TS3780 (Cellular data)
If that's not the problem, here's some basic tips that might help, given that the downloads are complete in iTiunes.
Restart your device - HT1430
Sync your iPhone with iTunes.
Reset your device
Try syncing again
I searched the Apple site for a troubleshooting article relating to your issue, but couldn't turn anything up.
Hope the above helps, and the problem is just a random anomaly.
