    The only version supported and available at the moment is 10gR2.
    Please see {thread:id=1043805} for more details. Any particular details why you specifically want to download 10gR1?

  • Oracle 8 client for Linux

    I really need to find the Oracle 8 client for Linux. It isn't available anywhere on Oracle's site. Is there an alternate way to get it? I need a modern PHP to be able to connect with an Oracle 7 database. It is not currently an option to upgrade the Oracle database, as much as I would love to do so.

    8.0.4 for linux does not exists nor you need it to connect to a 8 database.
    Just install the 9i client (available at OTN) and recompile your cgi's.

  • Oracle 9i Database for Linux

    Hello,
    I need to be able to test some software changes against an Oracle 9i database running under Linux as this is an environment used by one of my customers.
    I have tried downloading the zip files found at http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oracle9i/htdocs/linuxsoft.html but if I try to open or download any of these files I receive an Error 404 Page Cannot Be Loaded.
    This happens when using IE6 or when using GetRight.
    Are the links to these files still valid? If not, where can I download Oracle 9i Database for Linux?

    I don't find any problems with these files and they are still available.

  • Oracle JDBC Driver for Linux

    I'm looking for a place to download an Oracle JDBC driver for Linux. I have installed Oracle 8.1.5 for Linux, but don't find the driver either in the installation, nor on the CD. Can anyone point me to someplace I might be able to find it?
    Also, generic help in setting this up to work, JDBC API calls would also be of great help.
    Thanks.

    : Thanks in advance.
    1) You need classes111.zip usually located at
    $ORACLE_HONE/jdbc/lib.
    2) Add classes111.zip to CLASSPATH and export
    3) If you use thin driver your code should look like:
    Class.forName ("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
    // Connect to the database
    // You must put a database name after the @ sign in the
    connection URL.
    // You can use either the fully specified SQL*net syntax or
    a short cut
    // syntax as <host>:<port>:<sid>. The example uses the
    short cut syntax.
    Connection conn =
    DriverManager.getConnection
    (jdbc:oracle:thin:@hostname:port:ORACLE_SID,
    USER_NAME, PASSWOED);

  • Database Studio Version for Linux 64bit

    Hi,
    There is a way to get a Database Studio for Linux 64bit systems?
    regards
    Clóvis

    Hi Clóvis,
    sorry - currently we cannot provide a Database Studio which is running with a 64bit JVM. The provided package is an approach to run Database Studio on a 64bit server. But it definitely requires the 32bit JVM. The native 64bit Database Studio will be released later on. Unfortunately today I cannot yet tell you a fixed date for this.
    Anyway, thanks for your inquiry.
    Best regards,
    Martin

  • Is there an Oracle VPN client for Linux (64-bit) ?

    Does anyone know if there is an Oracle VPN client for Linux (64-bit) ?
    Where to get it ?
    How to install it ?
    thanks!
    Greg

    Perhaps OpenVPN will work for you. Unfortunately you did not provide any OS information and VPN requirements.
    You can find help to install and setup OpenVPN in Google. You might want to check the Fedora EPEL repository http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL to install the software using standard yum in Enterprise Linux.

    It looks like you will have to uninstall "libaio1", but I don't know for sure and don't have Ubuntu 10.4 available right now to play with.
    Sorry but the instructions are for Ubuntu 10.10, not 10.4, which is different.
    If you need to install XE on Ubuntu, I'd rather suggest 11gR2 XE:
