Oracle 11.2.0.2 Patch 10040035 and PSU

Hi guys,
i'm looking fot the Patch 10040035, it is in Patchset 11.2.0.3, but this patchset is not available for AIX.
It is available as one off patch for 11.2.0.2 but is not in any PSU, does anybody know why?
My customer has his own processes for implement Patches. It ist easier to install a PSU as a one off patch.
regards
Frank

It's probably a question of days, it was promised for Oct. 2011.

    Hi,
I have an application developed in Forms 6i (6.0.8.8.0) and web enabled using Oracle 9i Application Server Rel 1.
Recently I applied Forms 6i Patch 10 and recompiled the forms. After this the application crashes in the browser when deployed in 9iAS (The icon images are not loading, the triggers are not executing, etc)..
Is there any known issues for Patch 10 with Oracle 9i Application server Release 1?
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Multiple accounts on the same resource in Oracle Waveset 8.1.1 patch 5

    Hi IDM Experts!
I've customized my userforms in order to create multiple accounts on the same resource using the syntax accounts[<resourceName>|n].<attribute> like the documentation suggests. That worked fine using Sun Identity Manager 8.1.
However, I've not been able to create new multiple accounts after I upgraded to Oracle Waveset 8.1.1 patch 5.
Is there anything else that I have to take into account for this new version? Is that a bug?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for the reply... in my case this would be done by the active synch process so no GUI form is required. I will be getting a list of application ID for the user by LDAP AS. One i get it i will have to parse it and get the list of application user id. I am passing those ID;s to a workflow where I am forming the resource name as you mentioned
    for example:
If i get user1#user2#user3 from AS i am separating them based on # using split and getting 3 different user id;s
now i am forming a string with the resource name and passing it to the sub process in which i am checking out the user object, setting the user attributes and checking in the new view.
    user1#LDAP
    user2#LDAP|1
    user3#LDAP|2
Problem ; When i run this user1 is getting created in LDAP but user2 and user3 are not. There entry is getting created in IDM.
When I open the IDM object I get a yellow triangle (warning) and if I open the user object and hit save button IDM creates the user account on the LDAP.
any help for further solving this problem would be appreciated.

  • Query in Oracle 10.2.0.2  Patch application

    Hi All,
I need to apply patch for Oracle 10.2.0.2 on HP-Unix IA 64-bit server and when i saw SAP Marketplace, found latest CPU Patch of Janauary 2008 (p6646850_10202_HPUX-IA64) as per note #  1140644.
Along with this i also found 1 note mentioning about Optimizer merge fix patch application as per OSS note # 981875 and so downloaded file p7608184_10202_HPUX-IA64.zip, which is relevant to it.
Now when i read note # 981875 , i found that, it clashes with above mentioned CPU patch and want this to uninstall it and then apply Optimizer patch. And no where then it is mentioning to apply CPU patch again.
So i want to know, do i required now only to apply only Optimizer merger fix patch and not CPU Patch as per 981875 note. Just fyi...CPU patch is of Jan 2008 & Optimizer fix patch is of 01/12/2009?
Please let me know, how to go about it, if anyone has already done this.
Thanks for your answers in advance

    Hai,
The answer is already in the SAP Note 1140644.
'We recommend that ALL SAP customers import the CPU patch only if it is absolutely necessary'
    Risks:
The main risk when you install the CPU is that, as soon as SAP provides a new patch, this patch could clash with the CPU (it may not clash). If a clash occurs, you must decide between the CPU and the new patch.
The reason for the clash is the fixes which you apply from the patch as per SAP Note 981875 are already there in the system after the Installation of the CPU, according to SAP, CPU is a fix for security-related areas.
When you install the CPU patch, you will be informed that this patch is part of the CPU (# are included in the patch currently being installed (6646850). If you continue, they will be rolled back and the new patch (6646850) will be installed ...).
As far as I know, It is better to apply only the Optimizer merge fixes not the CPU once again.

    Yoganand.V

  • 11.2.0.3 Patch Bundle and opatch installation approach

    Hi,
I have installed the below 11.2.0.3 (64 bit) products in my windows 2008 server
    1. Oracle Grid Infrastructure for standalone server
    2. Oracle database server software and created a standalone database with ASM in this home.
Now i need to apply Update 5 patch bundle and some bug fix patches.
Since there are 2 home in my server what is the right approach for applying the patch bundle and opatch ?
When i went through the patch bundle installation document i could see these 2 options
    1. Patch Installation Instructions for Single Instance
    2. Patch Installation Instructions for RAC
Since i have 2 homes (OraCrs11g_home1 & OracDb11g_home1 ) in my server i am not sure which patch installation option i should choose and proceed.
    Can someone assist me ?
    Thanks,
    Ashok Kumar.G

no we have to prepare a test POC but we don't have Xterm so had to use silent mode.using VNC server is best option to install or upgrade databases/grid Infrastructure.
VNC server runs on the server and no fear of loosing network connection as in case of connecting thorugh putty.
also you can open GUI in VNC server without need of any xterm or xwindows .
So ask your SA to install VNC on your server and use it.

  • Compatability between Oracle 10g 10.2.0.3.0 and Apex 2.2

We have an Apex application with a bunch of APEX tree objects. The data for the tree comes from a materialized view. All was fine with the older version of Oracle database (1og 10.2.0.1.0) but when we applied the patch for 10.2.0.3.0 the trees are misbehaving (there are multiple root nodes, ID's are duplicated)
Is there any compatability issue? should we upgrade APEX to APEX2.2.1 or APEX 3.0
    Any Help appreciated.
    Thanks
    Raje.

    Raje,
You should first apply the 2.2.1 patch. This is easy and it is not an upgrade.
You should also test the materialized views outside of Application Express with your upgraded database.
Also, check with Oracle Support about bugs related to MVs and 10.2.0.3.

    http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper-2.1.1.64.45-no-jre.zip
Could anyone point me to a working link?

I have just been to the site and downloaded the software. This is is always available and certainly not been down for 40 days, we track the daily downloads. You maybe restricted by a firewall setting on your side which does not permit you to download the software. There are occasions when there are issues, but generally if you try again in an hour they're resolved. We will not put the software on a rapid share site and for anyone else to do so would be violating licensing restrictions and is as such not legal.

  • OSB Patch TYBN and U37G - ws-security interoperability

    Hi All,
I am using weblogic 9.x style security with OSB 11g which will be communicating with OWSM enabled weblogic server on the server side.
    According to the below URL
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e16098/interop_osb.htm
    +"Note:+
+Ensure that you have downloaded and applied the TYBN and U37Z patches released for Oracle Service Bus 10.3 using the patch tool."+
I will have to apply patch TYBN and U37Z to oracle service bus domain
where will I find these two patches? I went to oracle support site and searched for these patches, could not find any of these two.

    Hi Sebastian,
Have you tried adding a "XML Transform" policy?

  • Oracle 10.2.0.4 Patching Process - CPU vs Interim Patches

    Hi everyone,
We are getting ready to upgrade our AIX 5.2 - 64bit Oracle 10.2.0.2 systems to Oracle 10.2.0.4.
I noted that there was also a single CPU patch available (CPUOct2008_p7375644_10204_AIX5L.zip), as well as a large list of interim patches for 10.2.0.4.
I was wondering what other people do regarding their patching strategy for 10.2.0.4.
eg:  After you complete your 10.2.0.4 upgrade, do you:
    1.  Apply the CPU patch first and then all the interim patches
    2.  Apply all the interim patches first and the the CPU patch
    3.  Apply the CPU patch only
    4.  Apply the interim patches only
    5.  Its all too hard, so I don't apply any CPU or interim patches ... I hope for the best.
    6.  Migrate to MaxDB ... its much easier to patch.
    Interested in your feedback.
    Cheers
    Shaun

    Hi Fidel,

Oracle changed the CPU patches in 10.2.0.4
Now they are more "granular". it is divided in "molecules"
that way it is possible to install only one "part" of the CPU if there is a conflict.
I was aware of Oracles new approach for 10.2.0.4 of using the molecule patch concept.  I still feel uneasy with it given their past track record of patch conflicts.
For that reason, I'd install first all patches and then the CPU.
Have you done this?  Has anyone done this?  I wouldn't mind hearing from someone that has.
Regarding MaxDB, sorry I never used it
Your missing out on something wonderful.  Great database.
Hows this ... I'll apply all of the interim patches, and then the CPU patch on one of our project boxes early next week, and report back if there were any conflicts or issues.
    Cheers

Also can anyone pls let me know from where is the Login button and the Forgot Password? link is coming from so we can fix this.
    Thanks,

You must first go from Sun IDM 8.1 to Oracle Waveset 8.1.1 - then you can apply the latest patch.
