Oracle 8.1.7 documents

Hi All,
When I tried to dowload the oracle 8.1.7 documents, it is possible to download only a particular link under Win NT, IE 5.5 browser. It is hard to select each and every link to download. Is there anyway to download all the links at once? Please do help.

We filter documents as a step for creating a text index. We don't convert formats from X to Y.

Hi Deepak,
In first place application server 9.0.2 is desupported since 30th June 2007.So oracle would always recommend its customer to be on the latest versions.

Oracle OAF Find the Document Path Using JDR Tables or JDR_UTILS API

Hi,
I found duplicate records in JDR_PATHS table for a Particular OAF Page. I need to find the complete path of these documents,so that i can delete the one which i don't want
using the jdr_utils.deletedocument.
Appreciate it if anyone can advise on how to identify the paths for the a page so that I can delete the document I do not want. Any other ideas to delete the extra document would be welcome.

Sai,
Duplicate records in JDR_PATHS does not mean they are duplicate records, page names may be same.
But the hierarchy of the page is different, don't be in a hurry to delete the document.

Oracle 8i download incorrect documents

We are currently trying to integrate already existing and referenced documents in a database Oracle 8i Standard Edition. So I wrote a PL/SQL procedure that load sequentially all documents as LOB in a table.
The procedure worked perfectly, but now that we're trying to access the documents ( principally pdf files) through the mod_plsql Web site, the document does'nt download correctly (it displays the binary data sometimes, displays a message "file does'nt begin with %PDF" othertimes) and when we make a reload, the files displays correctly. This does'nt happen when we have uploaded the files from a form in the browser!

The problem is that we have already a lot of documents referenced by the database but stored externally on the servers's file system, and for reasons like replication and simplest way of uploading the new documents to be added, we need to insert all pre-existing documents in the database without uploading them manually through the HTML form like the new ones. ( For this last function,i made everything like explained in mod_plsql ans it's working fine).
Only the old documents that are inserted using dbms_lob package make this problem happen.

Oracle Text - Compressed (ZIP) documents support

Is it possible for Oracle Text to index files of various formats like DOC, PDF, HTML compressed in the ZIP archives?
I have read some Oracle text documentation and it seems that this feature is not available out-the-box?
Does anyone have any idea how this functionality can be implemented?
I think USER_DATASTORE might be used for this, but this does not seem like a good way how to do it.
The second option is using a Oracle Text FILTER class. But the default INSO_FILTER does not support indexing of documents in ZIP packages according to my tests.
So far I was not able to find any other filters, which support this feature.

What version of oracle are you interested in?
11.1.0.7 (the latest) returns Oracle text to INSO filters for document processing, and in [Text Reference Section B.2.5|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/text.111/b28304/afilsupt.htm#g639477] (Archive File Format), ZIP files are supported.

Oracle beehive data layout document

Hi All,
I was wondering if there is any document which explains data model in Oracle Beehive. Say for example how a single email/wiki/document/voice mail etc is stored in oracle database and what other information is stored for such single email item elsewhere(if it at all it is stored anywhere else other than database) ? . Is there any document which explains all the schema in beehive related table spaces ?

Oracle BPEL SOA - CUBE_SCOPE/DOCUMENT dehydration store contents

I have some queries concerning what bpel variables and values will be stored to Dehydration store in case oracle bpel. Consider I have an process "P1" with two scopes: an outer scope "s1" with variables "s1a,s1b,s1c" and within this s1 scope there is a nested inner scope "s2" with variables "s2a,s2b,s2c". When the process instance ends or if there is a wait activity at the end of outer scope s1, then the process state will be moved to dehydration store.
My question here is would oracle soa server store all the variables of both scopes s1 and s2 to dehydration store or since s2 scope is like a local loop within s1, would oracle only persist variables and values of processes of the outer scope s1 alone?
The reason why i ask is that the inner scope S2 in my process case handles a very huge xml of size more than 20 MB and i do not want this to be dehydrated to datastore at the end of process execution as this will fill up the soa table space quickly.

Create a full user export of the ORABPEL/ORAESB/ORAWSM users and load them into your new database.
Change the datasource in the SOA Application Server to your new database.

That was my problem, that the account details of the vendor are know by a person which does not work there anymore.
Anyway, I manage to do it by integrating Weblogic with IIS and install the Siteminder Agent for IIS instead of Siteminder Agent for Weblogic.

Unable to transform EDI document to XML payload in Oracle B2B inbound op

In our current project we would be implementing Oracle B2B.So I am doing simple POC on Oracle B2B inbound operation for a EDI document for a project requirement.Facing issue if Transformation option selected in Oracle B2B console. Would really appreciate if you guys give me some pointer..
Below is short desacription of POC:
1) Created ECS file for Purchase Order(EDI_X12 Standard, 850, Version : 4010) in Spec Builder 6.6.0
2) Created corresponding XSD and dummy test EDI data file(.dat) in Spec Builder 6.6.0
3) In Oracle B2B Console, created Document Type and Document Definition
4) Created 2 Trading Partners : Our Organisation(Host) and MyPartner(Remote)
5) My Partner is Sender and Our Organisation is Receiver
6) Linked Document Type to both Trading Partners
7) Created a Listening Channel
8) Protocol of Listening Channel is Generic File
9) Mentioned Folder Path and File Type : %From PARTY%_%TO PARTY%_%DOCUMENT TYPE NAME_%DOCUMENT REVISION%.dat
10) Agrrement validated and deployed
11)Checked option Transformation for Agreement
12) In SOA Composite created a simple Asynchronous BPEL process
13) BPEL process using a B2B Adapter is subscribed to Document Type(Purchase Order) operatioon Receive and Mode Default
14) Using a simple Assiign activity to map payload
15) BPEL then inoke a File Adapter service to write sme XML payload(picked from B2B fatre EDI transformed to XML) to a file
Issue Faced:
1) B2B could make oput Sender and Receiver Trading Partners
2) B2B could make out the Agrrement
3) B2B is picking up EDI file
4) If Agreemnet has Transformation option selected, then B2B is givinng below Error:

1) I Exported Repository,then purged design time data and Reimported and restarted Server and tested..not working
2) I also created a Parser Scehma for Blank EDI document(that option I found in Spec Builder 6.6.0==>New Document-->Parser Schema(Blank EDI Document) and then placed that Parser Schema file(ECS file) in folder :
C:\Oracle\Middleware\Weblogic\Oracle_SOA1\soa\thirdparty\edifecs\XEngine\config\schema
and added an entry in XERegistry.xml
<Item Name="SchemaFile">${XERoot}/config/schema/Spec2</Item>
but not working..
3) Checked namespace in XSd and WSDl for BPEL,they are correct
Getting no clue how to resolve..Need help...

Tools for migrating data (documents) from MS SQL to Oracle

Please let me know if there any tools available for migrating documents from one database like MS SQL to Oracle. Currently our documents are stored in MS SQL and we are planning to implement KM for document management with Oracle as the database.

The old manual style still works - create the scripts for the migration objects, then use search & replace to rename the schema for all affected objects and finally run the SQL script to create them in the Oracle database.

Attaching Customized Oracle Document with a WorkFlow

Hi Guys!
This thread is created by a total novice. So please bare with me for a while.
Please see the following question;
Q:1 Is it possible to attache a custom developed oracle form with a workflow. If yes what is way?.
Q:2 I have to route a document through number of users, who only instert their corresponding values. My solution to this is; that first make a work flow, then you have to have a oracle form as a document. Attach that document with the workflow and above all attach a hierarechy to it. Please advice that is this the right way or not? If not, please suggest some other solution; thanks.
