Oracle 8 Driver for Windows 2000

I recently upgraded my Web servers to Windows 2000 Advanced Server. Previously I was running the site in Windows NT and used the setup program that came with the application to install the ODBC driver. I ran the same program in Windows 2000 but at the end of installation, it displays an error. Where do I download Driver and setup program to install correct version for windows 2000 Advanced Server?

Which version of Oracle do you have and what is the error? Older versions of Oracle, i.e. 8.0.5 & 8.1.5, probably pre-date Windows2000 and thus aren't likely to be certified there.

  • Webcam 3 driver for windows 2000

    Hello,
    I have a Creative Labs WebCam 3 ; it's from about 2 years ago;
    I run windows 2000.
    I know that the ID of this webcam is : 0x5a9/0xa5
    (from the message I get when connecting it to linux).
    I had tried to download the
    "Video Blaster WebCam 3" driver for win2000 from creative websitw downloads page;
    (It is called WebCam3GDrvsV2_0505.EXE)
    But after insatlling it I could not use the webcam with it; it is probably
    not the right driver.
    I had tried also,from the downloads : "Creative Webcam"
    From there I got 2 options which seems also not the right ones:
    Also it seems to me that model PD00/Model PD00
    Any idea which is the right driver ?
    Regards,
    Sting

    Hi,
    Officially the printer is not supported on Windows 2000 as you may find listed within its specs:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03315988&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...
    You may try using an alternative driver for printing, any other functionality will not be available however:
    Download and extract the package below (*use any archive software  as Winrar to extract it):
    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18...
    Under the control panel open printers and click Add printer.
    Follow the steps by creating a Standard TCP/IP port, you may locate the printer's IP by clicking the network icon on the printer front panel
    On the pritner selection dialog click Have Disc and browse to the extracted folder.
    Follow the steps on the screen to complete the wizard.

  • I need ct1373 driver for windows 2000 help please I'm about to

    heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp ma plz
    I have been looking for this driver long time ago
    help me
    CT373 -DCQ for windows 2000

    Well it must be an OEM product, so a driver may not be available. However all Sound Blaster PCI series cards (Ensoniq chip I think) use a single driver, apart from the PCI52 which uses a crippled EMU0k chip.
    So try to use the drivers and updates for Sound Blaster PCI 6, PCI 64 or PCI 28. VIBRA is PCI 6 I think.
    http://us.creative.com/support/downl...ame=Windows+XP
    <SPAN class=time_text>
    Update: I did a little search in the net and it appears 373 is the chip name. This was an Ensoniq chip, so it was named ES373, then CT373 etc... It is a bit confusing because the retail sold cards carry a CT4xxx ot CT5xxx model number, some like yours just the renamed chip etc. The actual card is PCI 28. So the drivers posted above should do the job.Message Edited by alexs3d2 on 09-04-2005 :33 AM

  • CAN'T FIND DRIVER FOR AT-FBUS NI-FBUS FOR WINDOWS 2000

    Trying to load software for AT-FBUS for Windows 2000. The only drivers that I can find are PCMCIA-FBUS and PCMCIA-FBUS/2. Are these the drivers for my at machine??

    AT-FBUS can work under Windows 2000 in NI-FBUS 2.3.5 or later version. You don't need to install the driver, the AT-FBUS driver "nifb.sys" will be installed to your system driver directory automatically.
    AT-FBUS doens't support PnP feature of Windows 2000, so you need to start the driver from "non-Plug & Play" list instead of importing the "INF" file as PCMCIA-FBUS does.
    You can refer to the attached "FF HW and NI-FBUS SW for Win2000/XP" Installation Guide document for details.

    The Calendar SDK was only certified for the platforms you list, although I don't expect you would encounter any platform-specific problems using it on Windows 2000 or XP. That said, those platforms are not officially supported for 9.0.4.2, with all that implies.
    The upcoming 9.0.5 release should be certified for Windows 2000 (only - and, of course, subject to change up until it actually ships).

    hello once again
    i haven't received any solution of my problem, so i am again uploading it.
    ----PROBLEM IS GIVEN BELOW-----
    i am having a problem in oracle report printing (2000,6i). I have installed patch "update Rollup for windows 2000 sp4" on windows 2000. now when i send report(132 column) for printing to the printer, the report fails to expand to 132 columns and data is printed in unformatted fashion. in order to print the report correctly i have to remove the patch from the windows.i have set all parameters and
    defining page size in files like wide180.PRT in printers folder in oracle directory.
    Is there anyway to print the report without uninstalling windows patch?
    thanks

    I don't have any idea about this issue. Maybe someone else on this forum can help. Meanwhile, there are couple of places you can search for this issue:
    Search google for printing issues with this patch
    Search Microsoft forums for Windows 2000
    And if you have metalink account, search metalink forum, document/note or open a SR for this.

  • Help! Im getting really confused!  Linux Oracle 9 to Windows 2000 MS SQL.

    Please can someone explain the process and what needs doing.
    I am trying to connect an oracle 9i database which is running on Linux Red Hat Enterprise 4, to a MS SQL database which is running on Windows Server 2000.
    I have read the following document https://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:1119006956529253705::::p14_database_id,p14_docid,p14_show_header,p14_show_help,p14_black_frame,p14_font:NOT,231458.1,1,1,1,helvetica
    But I am confused as to where each configuration file sits.
    I have downloaded oracle 9i for windows and installed the OTG and tg4msql on the windows 2000 server. On the windows 2000 server I have created the following files:
    tnsnames.ora:
    TG4MSQL.domain.name =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tCP)
    (HOST = <IP_ADDRESS>)
    (PORT=1521) )
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SID = tg4msql))
    (HS=OK)
    Listener.ora
    SID_LIST_LISTENER =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME = PLSExtProc)
    (ORACLE_HOME = D:\oracle9i)
    (PROGRAM = extproc))
    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME = tg4msql)
    (ORACLE_HOME = D:\oracle9i)
    (PROGRAM = tg4msql)
    (ENVS=LD_LIBRARY_PATH=D:\oracle9i)
    LISTENER =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = IPADDRESS)(PORT = 1521))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC0))
    inittg4msql.ora
    HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO="SERVER=<IP_ADDRESS>;database=<MS SQL DATABASE NAME"
    HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL=0
    HS_FDS_RECOVERY_ACCOUNT=RECOVER
    HS_FDS_RECOVERY_PWD=RECOVER
    HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL=OFF
    Then on the Linux server I have the following tnsnames.ora:
    TG4MSQL.DOMAIN.NAME =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <MS SQL IP ADDRESS>)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SID = tg4msql))
    I then created a database link on the Linux Oracle server:
    CODE
    create database link tg4msql connect to "sa"
    identified by "password" using 'tg4msql';
    I then tried a:
    CODE
    select * from all_catalog@tg4msql;
    and get:
    Ora-28545: error diagnosed by Net8 when connecting to an agent
    Unable to retrieve text of NEWTORK/NCR message 12571
    ORA-02063: preceeding 2 lines for TG4MSQL
    I feel I have done everything I have read but its not very clear where everything has to be put or how it all ties together.
    Any help would be useful!
    Thanks.

    well I don't see how your ODBC driver on linux is configured. You need one (ODBC driver on linux, it's not there by "default") You can buy one or use a free one
    find it here
    http://www.unixodbc.org/
    then once you set up ODBC and able to connec to your SQL SERVER from command line using iSQL or TSQL from linux then do all these steps you described and it should work.
    I didn't have any problems setting it up, works like a charm

    I am having the same problems!
    Any help here would be great!! Stephen, Hi!, I think I know what the problem is....but I need your confirmation on my hypothesis. These are the scenarios:
    PC#1
    =====
    In this computer it has operating system Windows2000 on C: Drive.
    RESULT: SUCESSFULLY INSTALLED THE ORACLE 8I (8.1.7) Enterprise or Standard (trial version) on this PC.
    PC#2
    ====
    In this computer it has operating system WindowsME on drive C:
    RESULT: When CD (Oracle 8i) was inserted on the CD Drive autorun was performed and Oracle 8i Installation screen pops up and I clicked on install and the Universal Installer shows up. A positive sign but I purposly aborted the installation.
    PC#3
    ====
    In this computer it has (2) operating system they are: Windows ME on Partitiion C: and another partition on F: the operating system is Windows2000. I Tried to install it on Windows2000 on partition F:
    RESULT: CAN NOT INSTALL (trial version) ORACLE 8I (8.1.7) Enterprise or Standard version on F: Windows2000.
    CD drive just spins for 15 seconds and nothing happens not even the Oracle Installation screen shows up.
    MY HYPOTHESIS:
    =============
    The ORACLE 8I (8.1.7) Enterprise or Standard trial version either:
    A) Can not be installed on another drive other than C: with a system with two (2) operating systems. and/or
    B) Can not be installed with a PC with two (2) operating system.

  • Connect from Windows Client to Oracle 10g for Windows 64-bit

    Have an environment currently running Oracle 10g 32-bit on Windows 2000 Standard, and need to migrate to Oracle 10g 64-bit for Windows. Users connect to the 10g 32-bit database using the Oracle Client for Windows 10g loaded on remote PC's. If we migrate to the Oracle 10g 64-bit on Windows 2003 Server Enteprise Edition 64-bit, what type of client do I have to install on the PC's to access the Oracle 10g 64-bit database?
    Any ehlp/insight will be greatly appreciated.
    Eduardo in Michigan

    In addition to install 32-bit Oracle client to 32-bit Windows OS, you need to know whether your application is compiled to run in 32-bit or 64-bit.
    This is critical because 32-bit application can not see 64-bit Oracle ODBC and OLE DB provider.
    For example, MS SQL Server 2005 uses 32-bit DTS, and SSIS, which needs 32-bit Oracle client
    If you don't know, get a copy of both 32-bit and 64-bit Oracle client, and try one-by-one to know for sure. Please be aware that if regsvr32.exe in the Windows has been overwritten by older software installation, it won't register some DLL properly, and Oracle ODBC, or OLE DB won't show up as well
