Well, an iPhone backup consists of multiple files, not just one.  They are all stored in a single folder, and I found the location using a quick Google search the last itme I needed that information.  You might rty this link:  http://lmgtfy.com/?q=where+does+itunes+store+iPhone+backup+on+Windows

  • How to solve Oracle SQL Developer connection problem ?

    Folks,
    Hello. I am using Oracle Database 11gR1. The Database Control Console https://localhost.localdomain:1158/em works correctly. I can create a Database and a table successfully.
    My OS is Linux and connects to internet successfully.
    In order to run SQL statements. we need to use Oracle SQL Developer. I connect Oracle SQL Developer in the following way:
    Connection Name: DB1 (this is my database name as well)
    Username: SYS (this is the user name I used to login to the Console)
    Password: SYS (this the password used to login to the Console)
    Connection Type: Basic
    Host Name: localhost
    Port: 1158
    SID: DB1 (this is created during installing the Database)
    But the error message comes up: "Status: Failure - IO exception Connection Reset."
    Can any folk tell me how to solve Oracle SQL Developer connection problem ?

    password: enter_your_correct_password given at the time of oracle installation
    role: select sysdba if you would connect as sysdba else select normal for users other than sys
    hostname: enter your oracle server hostname or ip address eg:- 192.168.11.12
    to find the hostname open terminal/command prompt in oracle installed machine
    type ---> hostname
    type ---->ping hostname
    you can find the ipaddress of the server
    port number: 1521 (default) ----> i guess , else check the port number in the tnsnames.ora file under your ORACLE_HOME/network/admin folder

  • Oracle 11 driver causes problem in the day when the daylight saving starts

    Hi everybody,
    I'm facing a really weird problem with daylight saving stuff. So, let me explain:
    I have a table where stores some personal data, which one of the columns is a birth date.
    On this column there is a constraint like: TRUNC(BIRTHDATE) == BIRTHDATE to ensure that the is the same always.
    Now the problem starts:
    When a person is born when the daylight saving starts (+1 hour) (e.g: Belgium 22/04/1930) in our Java application
    that date is described like: Sun Apr 22 00:00:00 CEST 1923
    When the application tries to insert data into the table, it gets a constraint violation exception.
    The configuration I'm using:
    - JDK 6_0_21
    - Oracle driver: 11.2.0.1.0 (ojdbc6.jar)
    - Oracle database: 10.2.0.4.0
    Now the weird part: When I change back to the previous Oracle driver version (10.X), it works perfectly. I've seen this FAQ:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/jdbc-faq-090281.html#08_01
    and tried both solutions: Set the mapDateToTimestamp property and change from DATE to TIMESTAMP type in the table. Unfortunately, both don't
    work.
    Anybody has an idea how to solve that? (Change back to the previous version is not an option for us, since we had transactional problems with it)
    Cheers,
    Bruno

  • Oracle 11g XE Connectivity Problems

    Hi to all and thanks for the attention !
    Quick facts
    OS : Microsoft Server 2008 R2 (x64)
    Oracle Version : 11g XE (x32)
    Database name : XE
    I've been fighting over with providers for a whole day and I can't seem to make this work out,
    I have an application(Web, on a IIS 7) that connects to a schema, the connection uses a Oracle Provider For OleDB, well at first I was getting a "Provider not registered" error, that was easy I only had to make the app run on x32 and puf the error changed, so I quickly set up the Data Source ( with the data source manager located in WOW64 ) with a oracle ole db provider, no problems, I can click on it, it will ask me for a user/password and when I click test connection I works just like I would expect it to work, now back to the application, when i set the connection string up, I get a error from the app : ORA-12154 TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified. So went up and tried making a udl ( invoking again the x32 ), same error ORA-12154 so I started digging and so far so good what I got is, "try tnsping <instance_Name>", did it, and got an OK (40ms) (though I had to navigate to bin folder, which was not explained in the posts, perhaps this means something ?) and also registered the oraoledb11.dll with regsvr32
    Oh ! And I can connect to the database with sqldeveloper
    I know really little of Oracle, any thoughts ?
    Thanks again !

    ORA-12154 ALWAYS only occurs on SQL Client & no SQL*Net packets ever leave client system
    ORA-12154 NEVER involves the listener, the database itself or anything on the DB Server.
    ORA-12154 occurs when client requests a connection to some DB server system using some connection string.
    TNS-03505 is thrown by tnsping & is same error as ORA-12154 thrown by sqlplus or others.
    The lookup operation fails because the name provided can NOT be resolved to any remote DB.
    The analogous operation would be when you wanted to call somebody, but could not find their name in any phonebook.
    The most frequent cause for the ORA-12154 error is when the connection alias can not be found in tnsnames.ora.
    The lookup operation of the alias can be impacted by the contents of the sqlnet.ora file; specifically DOMAIN entry.
    So post the content of the sqlnet.ora file.

  • Help! Oracle 9i AS - orainventory problem

    Hi,
    I'm currently using Oracle 9i release 1 (sorry, I do not have the full version number with me now) running on Solaris 8. The ORACLE_HOME for this is /opt/oracle/iAS. And oraInventory is /opt/oracle/product/oraInventory.
    We are planning to migrate to Oracle 9i AS 9.0.2.0.1, so I installed Oracle Infrastructure in separate Oracle home (/opt/oracle/oraInfra). There is no problem at all.
    But when I installed Oracle 9i AS 9.0.2.0.1 Application server (portal and wireless) into another oracle home (/opt/oracle/iAS9.0.2), just before the installation complete, it gave me an error message "/opt/oracle/iAS/9.0.2/inventory/ContentsXML/comps.xml (no such file)". And the OUI come back to the first page. I exited and run OUI again, tried to uninstalled it (the oracle home and product are in the list of installed product), I hit the same error. I tried to install into the same oracle home again, and got the same error.
    Any suggestions on how I should continue? It's not possible to remove all Oracle software and start everything again. My oversight not to backup oraInventory.
    Thank you very much for your help.
    Pimpuk Sansuth ([email protected])

    I'm experiencing the same problem. Which documentation should I be looking at? Obviously OID needs to be configured somehow before middle tier machines can connect to it.
    I did a default infrastructure install on SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 7. Then on another SuSE SLES7 machine I'm trying to do a middle tier install, but I get the same error trying to connect to the infrastructure durring the install.
    This is truely frustrating. Sorry, I'm a Linux expert not an Oracle user by trade, I just need to get these boxes going so that the DBAs can take over.
    Thanks!

  • Oracle Query Rewrite Alias Problem

    Hi,
    The problem desribed below is regarding the use of oracle aggregate awareness through the use of query rewrite.
    2 materialized views exist (one agg per day, one agg per month) and 1 dimension exists for time (date - month - quarter - year)
    Query rewrite seems to be working fine for a query as such (alias sql = alias mv):
    select DDFPC.MONTH_NO
    from BIDATA_MAIN.DF_REPOSITORY_SUBSET DF2, BIDATA_MAIN.DD_TIME DDFPC
    where DF2.FINANCIAL_PROCCESSING_DATE_ID = DDFPC.DATE_ID and DF2.ROUTING_CODE_ISS IN ('FPC','NCC')
    group by DDFPC.MONTH_NO
    However, considering our reporting tool generates aliases on the fly, we could get the following query (alias sql <> alias mv):
    select T2.MONTH_NO
    from BIDATA_MAIN.DF_REPOSITORY_SUBSET DF2, BIDATA_MAIN.DD_TIME T2
    where DF2.FINANCIAL_PROCCESSING_DATE_ID = T2.DATE_ID and DF2.ROUTING_CODE_ISS IN ('FPC','NCC')
    group by T2.MONTH_NO
    --> for the second query, query rewrite refuses to correctly use the dimension – it’ll rewrite to the DD (daily) aggregate, but not to the MM (monthly) aggregate
    Investigation gives: QSM-01072: materialized view, DA_REPOSITORY_MERCHANT_MM, and query have different joins between tables, DF_REPOSITORY_SUBSET and DD_TIME
    So*: How can query rewrite be forced to take place with different aliases between query & materialized view – taken into account a dimension is used for aggregation-awareness?
    This seems to indicate it should work...

    You are missing a join on the file_id column
    i.e.
    select sum(f.BLOCKS), sum(d.BLOCKS) from dba_free_space f ,dba_data_files d where f.TABLESPACE_NAME=d.TABLESPACE_NAME and f.TABLESPACE_NAME like SUBSTR('KU_TSD_1',0,10)
    and f.file_id = d.file_id
    This might have been easier to detect if you had removed the sum aggregation and looked at the data coming back from the raw query.

  • Oracle physru rolling upgrade problem

    Hi, I'm having a problem with the Oracle Physru script provided from MOS note # 949322 I was hoping I could get some help with.
    My system contains of two Oracle 11.1.0.7.0, one primary and one physical standby.
    The hosts are two Oracle Solaris 10 Sparc x64 machines.
    My goal is to update from 11.1.0.7.0 to 11.1.0.7.8 using the script that is provided, however I'm bumping into problems at the step where the script is checking the Apply lag on the logical standby (function "get_apply_lag"). The lag seems to increase, and to be that indicates a problem with the redo apply process. However, when I query the DBA_LOGSTDBY_EVENTS View i get the following:

  • Oracle Outlook Connector Deployment Problem

    I am trying to deploy Outlook 2003 with the Oracle Outlook connector. I am using the Custom installation Wizard provided by the Microsoft Office 2003 Support Tools.
    I have set the Oracle connector to piggy-back on the install, however, it will not setup each user automatically. Even using the ini file. You have to manually setup each current user and new users as they come to a new pc.
    I want Outlook the CIW to setup the Oracle connector automatically using a .PRF file (Outlook profile file). Unfortunately, with 3rd party connectors, you have to setup the .prf manually. But, other than the white paper provided by Microsoft, there isn't any info on how to manually setup the .PRF file that will setup the connector?
    Do I need to call Microsoft (and spend the $250), Oracle, or is there anyone out there that has this info?
    Any help would be beneficial to everyone trying to deploy the oracle connector to a large amount of machines without ever having to visit each pc.

    Not yet. I have issued a TAR with Oracle and have talked to a technician about this problem. He is now meeting with engineers to see if it is possible. I have also been on the phone with a software company called AutoProf and testing their software Profile Maker 8. The tech that I spoke with there is also working with the engineers to come up with a solution. Right now it looks as though some scripting is going to have to occur to get it to work right. I'll keep you posted.

  • Oracle XML classgenerator /Servlet problem

    Hi,
    I'm developing a servlet that accepts an HTTP request, contacts a database, processes the request and return an XML document back to the browser. The XML document returned is dependent on which selection a user makes.
    The problem is that on first request, say user selects "choice one", the correct XML document is returned. However, when the browser's back button is used to go back and make the same choice as previous(ie "choice one"), Explorer 4.5 displays an empty page while netscape 4.5 return a document contains no data error.
    I used oracle xmlclassgenerator to generate the classes that create the XML document to be returned. The problem certainly lies in the method of my servlet that uses these classes to generate the XML document because when I replace the whole method with println statement every thing works fine(but of course without the XML document).
    The content of the method is as follows.
    ACCOUNT acc = new ACCOUNT(id);
    //Create a child and add child to root node
    NUM_OF_RESIDENTS nr = new NUM_OF_RESIDENTS(num);
    acc.addNode(nr);
    //Create another child and add to root node
    FIXED_COST fc = new FIXED_COST();
    ELECTRICITY el = new ELECTRICITY(elec);
    GAS g = new GAS(gas);
    WASH_MACHINE wm = new WASH_MACHINE(wash);
    WATER wat = new WATER(water);
    OTHER oth = new OTHER(other);
    fc.addNode(el);
    fc.addNode(g);
    fc.addNode(wm);
    fc.addNode(wat);
    fc.addNode(oth);
    //finally add to root node
    acc.addNode(fc);
    //Create another child
    TELEPHONE tl = new TELEPHONE();

    Hi,
    I had a very similar problem, which turned out to be the way that I was referencing one schema from another. Originally I had something like the following in my main XSD:
    <xs:import namespace="http://www.govtalk.gov.uk/people/bs7666" schemaLocation="bs7666-v2-0.xsd"/>When I tried to register the schema using the schemaURL of 'http://www.govtalk.gov.uk/people/bs7666/bs7666-v2-0.xsd' I got ORA-31000: Resource 'bs7666-v2-0.xsd' is not an XDB schema document. I then tried to registering the schema using just it's name ie schemaURL => 'bs7666-v2-0.xsd' and this worked!
    With further investigation I found that if I change the schemaLocation in the import to a full URL I could then register the schema using that same URL:
    Reference from my main schema
    <xs:import namespace="http://www.govtalk.gov.uk/people/bs7666"
          schemaLocation="http://www.govtalk.gov.uk/people/bs7666/bs7666-v2-0.xsd"/>
    BEGIN
       DBMS_XMLSCHEMA.registerSchema
         ( SCHEMAURL => 'http://www.govtalk.gov.uk/people/bs7666/bs7666-v2-0.xsd'
         , SCHEMADOC => bfilename('XMLDIR','bs7666-v2-0.xsd')
         , LOCAL => FALSE
    END;Maybe someone could shed some light on the best practice for registering schemas? I understand that schemaURL is really just a reference for the schema and not actually used to locate the schema but is it better to use full URLs?
    Regards,
    Tom

  • URGENT - Oracle 9i, Oracle 9iAS, and Oracle 9iAS Portal Installation Problem

    ERROR :
    1. Objects with type JAVA CLASS with more than 30 characters are truncated to 30 characters
    2. There are only 30 objects with type JAVA CLASS are installed (instead of 334) mentioned on the troubleshooting guide
    3. Oracle9iASHttpService automatically stops after starting the service
    Environment :
    Windows 2000 Server
    Oracle 9i 9.0.1.1.1
    Oracle 9iAS 3.0.9.8.2 (Oracle 9iAS 1.0.2.2.2a)
    PDK Services for Java version 3.0.9.0.4 (from Patch used to install 3.0.9.8.2)
    Patches 8.1.7.1.1, 8.1.7.1.5, 3.0.9.8.2
    I installed the Oracle 9i, 9iAS, Portal and the patches based on the installation instructions (http://portalstudio.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/OTN_CONTENT/DOCUMENTATION/INSTALL_GUIDE_9I.PDF)
    I tried adding the Sample Web Provider I got ORA-29531 error on HttpProviderDispatcher. Then I checked the Patch 8.1.7.1.1 installation, they are some scripts that need to be run that was not part of the 9i/9iAS installation instruction. I run the suggested scripts(catalog.sql, catproc.sql and utlrp.sql) and modified the jserv.properties to point the xsqlconfig.xml to ORACLE_HOME\oracore\admin.
    The error still persisted. From the Troubleshooting PDK Services for Java, one of the suggestion is to run the sql command :
    Select object_name, object_type, status from user_objects where object_name like '%HttpProvider%';
    which resulted to an object with name '/3334f18_HttpProviderDispatche' without the 'r' at the end
    and
    Select count(object_name) from user_objects where object_type='JAVA CLASS';
    which resulted to only 30 VALID object. According to the installation instruction, there are supposedly 334 objects.
    I checked the object_name of the other JAVA CLASS objects, all the names of the objects are all less than 30 characters. It looks like that the objects with the object_name > 30 are truncated to 30 characters.
    Then I rebooted the machine, when the machine went back on Oracle9iASHttpService stops automatically after it has been started.

    I have posted question on that thread and there is no specific solution from our problem. From the Oracle PDK Troubleshooting PDK Services for Java, it looks like there is a problem on the Oracle Portal installation. I tried recompiling the packages and my problem worsened. Now I cannot start the Oracle9iAS HTTP Service.

  • Oracle 10g XE installation problem on Ubuntu Linux, Oracle will not start

    Hi,
    After installing the pakages the error is when I call sqlplus and login as SYS :-

    ERROR:

    What I have done:-
    My system is 64 bit AMD.
    I installed .deb package on Ubuntu 9.04 server. I installed the following packages.
    1.     ibc6-i386
    2.     libaio_0.3.104-1_i386.deb
    3.     bc
    4.     oracle-xe-universal_10.2.0.1-1.1_i386.deb.
    The Oracle processes do not start after running /etc/init.d/oracle-xe start.
    I can tnsping from the local machine.
    dpkg -l |grep libaio gives the following:
    ii libaio1 0.3.107-3ubuntu1 Linux kernel AIO access library - shared lib

    I have been running XE on 9.04 (32bit on my laptop - 64bit on my workstation) and both works fine. I had no problem installing. I followed the directions in documents I found on Ubuntu forums and also google. The document I used to install on 64bit was from http://littlebrain.org
    I remember using
    dpkg -i --force-architecture libaio1_0.3.107-1ubuntu1_i386.deb
    dpkg -i --force-architecture libaio-dev_0.3.107-1ubuntu1_i386.deb

    dpkg -i --force-architecture oracle-xe_10.2.0.1-1.0_i386.deb
    and then I used the ./oracle-xe configure as root, the installation was ok - and I have even updated the APEX version to 3.2.1 on the XE installation running on my 64bit Ubuntu 9.04
    hope this proves useful

  • Oracle 12c ASM Disk Problem on AIX

    Hi All,
    We need to install 12.1.0.2 DB with ASM option on AIX 7.1. When we start to install 12.1.0.2 grid installation, in the 3.step we could not show adding Candidate disks to ASM. Disks right are 660 and oracle:oinstall ownership.
    When we start to install 11gR2 installation on same platform we can see the Candidate Disk, and We can install 11gR2 ASM+DB on same platform. But for 12.1.0.2 is not.
    How can we add Candidate Disks to 12c ASM İnstallation for below step ? The disks which is not shown for this step are like below. After first error I have changed disks' ownership like oracle:asmadmin, it isn't solved. I need urgent help.
