Oracle 9i AS 1.0.2.2.2 for Linux - Installation Media?

Hi all,
I am trying to locate a copy of the Oracle 9i Application Server version 1.0.2.2.2 installation media for Linux. I appreciate that it’s an ancient version but we still use 6i forms and the version of the installation media I have is corrupt and I need to do a fresh install.
I’ve tried the obvious places like Metalink / Oracle eDelivery etc to try and download a copy but it’s obviously too old to be available on there. Is there anywhere else I can source it - for example does anyone know if it is part of another Oracle suite e.g. 11i?
Many Thanks

Oracle's Software Delivery Cloud as well as OTN tend to provide versions for which error correction support is still offerend. As error correction support is not offered for the AS 1.0.2.2.2 version anymore, it is not available through these channels anymore.
You can request a physical media shipment from Oracle, check My Oracle Support document [url https://support.us.oracle.com/oip/faces/secure/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?id=1071023.1]1071023.1, "How to Request Physical Shipment or FTP download of Software Media" for details.
Thanks,
EJ

  • Is the Oracle database 11.1.0.7  patch available for linux 64 bit

I only Microsoft downloads for this patch - does this mean we have to go to 11.2. Thanks for the input!

It is the same patch number.
I see it as available for Linux x86-64, Linux x86, Windows 32bit and WIndows 64 bit.
Perhaps you want to install the new OCM for Oracle Support - it should help you get those patches without searching. ;-)

  • 8.1.6 install - Oracle 8i for Linux

I'm trying to install the Oracle 8i for Linux installation kit from the Osborne book.
    You can stop laughing now.
Really, we're going to buy the full deal, but until that happens, we want to get a bit of a headstart. I'm using Hummingbird eXceed v6.2.0.0 as my X server; everything works fine except when I get to the second page of the installer, and NONE of the buttons at the bottom of the installer page (Next, etc.) appear.
    Any ideas, folks?

    Oh, duh, fvwm.

  • Oracle 11g v11.1.0.7.0 for Linux RedHat?

    Hello,
can anybody tell me if there is a Oracle 11g v11.1.0.7.0 available for Linux RedHat, maybe a Pre-Version for Oracle-Customers/Partners?
A problem was reported to us pertaining to some privilege problems under Oracle 11g v11.1.0.7.0 / Linux, but i cannot find any version on:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/index.html
There is only a v11.1.0.7.0 for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and the last version for Linux is there v11.1.0.6.0.
    Thanks in advance.

The case with Windows 2008 exists because there was no way to install 11.1.0.6 on that platform, so the process of 'install and patch' is not possible. Therefore they needed to 'fix' the initial install for that specific plaftform and it is their policy to only release to the 'current patch set' (which was 11.1.0.7 at the time).
With Linux, you can 'make it work' with newer versions (eg: RH 5u4) by providing the appropriate compat libraries, therefore the original 'install and patch' process is still valid.
Making Linux 11.1.0.7 available would nullify their Support mechanisms.

  • Can Oracle be forced to use the spatial index for sdo_filter in combination with an or clause? Difference between Enterprise and SE?

We’re seeing the following issue: sql - Can Oracle be forced to use the spatial index for sdo_filter in combination with an or clause? - Stack Overflow (posted by a colleague of mine) and are curious to know if this behaviour is due to a difference between standard and enterprise, or could we doing something else wrong in our DB config.?
We have also reproduced the issue on the following stacks:
Oracle SE One 11.2.0.3 (with Spatial enabled)
    Redhat Linux 2.6.32-358.6.2.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu May 16 20:59:36 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
11.2.0.3.0 Standard Edition and 11.2.0.4.0 Standard Edition (both with Spatial enabled)
Microsoft Windows Server 2003R2 Standard x64 Edition
However, the SQL works fine if we try it on Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 *Enterprise* Edition.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
    Kindest Regards,
    Kevin

In my experience sdo_filter ALWAYS uses the spatial index, so that's not the problem. Since you did not provide the explain plans, we can't say for sure but I think yhu is right: Standard Edition can't use the bitmap operations, and thus it'll take longer to combine the results of the two queries (because the optimizer will surely split this OR up in two parts, then combine them).
BTW: when asking questions about queries here, it would be nice if you posted the queries here as well, so that we do not have to check another website in order to see what you are doing. Plus it will probably get you more answers, because not everyone can be bothered to click on that link. It would also have been nice if you had posted your own answer on the other post here as well, because my recommendation would have been to use union all - but since you already found that out for yourself my recommendation would have been a little late.

  • Oracle JDeveloper 11g (11.1.2.2.0) (Build 6183)Installations

I clicked the Studio Edition:11.1.2.2.0 Windows Install Download File button from the Oracle JDeveloper 11g (11.1.2.2.0) (Build 6183)Installations page. After that I clicked Save and a window displayed with the % complete. It goes to 99% complete and 1 sec left and this seems to hang at that point. I've left it going for several minutes and then eventually cancelled it. I have the correct jdk version. Any suggestions?

You mean the download hangs at 99%?
That its usually the point when your virus checker starts its work. Some such programs are known to have trouble with large archive files containing many files.
Try to download with three virus checker turned off.

No Luck. I used GetRight as a download manager as suggested and still get the same error. I have used Winrar to extract the .gz as well as gunzip on Linux.

    John -
You are missing some required Linux files. When you install
Linux, pick the 'everything' option, then weed out the obvious
things you don't want (like the Serbian How-To's, etc.)
I say this because I ran into the exact same thing this past
weekend after picking and choosing which packages to install for
Linux. After re-installing with the 'everything' option, the
Oracle install went swimmingly. I wish I could tell you which
package in particular you are missing, but I never figured that
    out.

    Hi,
This can be solved by adding following environment variable in
    .bash_profile
    LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
    export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL
After adding , just relogin as oracle user and run the installation. It will proceed without any problem. (If u get any linker error u need run the patch glibc2.1.3stubs.tar.gz file from OTN downloads).
    Bye
In case of any problem, mail me at [email protected]
    With Regards,
    P.L. Kannan
