Oracle Alert doesn't send the email

Hi all,
I have created an Oracle Alert which executes in an "Event Mode" not "periodically". The event triggers when I modified ( insert or update ) the table po_vendors.
I set all of the things in Oracle Alert that I need. However when I execute an update in sql-plus session, nothing happened. The email didn't arrive.
Do I have to say something to the DBA in order to check de email service in Linux?.
How can I test different step in order to find which is the real problem ?.
I activated "Periodic Alert Scheduler" this is not the problem.
I have read many papers in metalink, but I don't find the solution.
I have 11.5.8 OF version.

I read the notes that you sent me. They were usefull. I tasted with a ¨mail command¨ in Unix Environment and I realized that there was a problem in the setup configuration.
I reported the issue to the dba. He told me that they use utl_smtp function in a package, and they don´t configure de server were the Oracle was installed and they won´t do it in the future.
The question is...Can I trigger a pl-sql function inside of the Alert in order to avoid using a database trigger ? Is it possible ?.

It's a really bad idea to post your email addresess - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove them.
This is a user-to-user forum and no-one on here can take any direct action. If your Yahoo address is not working that's something you would need to take up with Yahoo - have you checked it by sending yourself an email to it?

Possible cause could be purging of notification data after sending out notification, but before receiving status.

Are you using your email address to send the email notifications if it Is not configured with AD? Have you populated the mail attribute in weblogic console-->realms-->my realms-->users
In addition are you sure you have configured the 'Email Driver Properties' correctly in EM ?? have you specified the Notification Mode to Email ?
Please make sure that the outgoing mail server and port along with the username and password are correct.
Also validate the workflow settings in your EM?
In addition, please validate that when you logon to BPM worklist using the admin account and click on the name for e.g. weblogic, you see the email attribute populated properly.

I cannot send the email to the printer using my hotmail account.

I got HP laserjet pro M1536 printer which have an eprint capability but i cannot send the mails to the printer by using the hotmail account and even tried using others hotmail account but in vain. I can send the emails thru yahoo and gmail accounts they worked but not yahoo. Can anyone solve this issue?

For those who are experiencing ongoing issues with their web services, you can attempt to try the following steps that may help resolve your problems.
1.) Completely shut down your printer and restart it
2.) If you have prints that have not printed, log into ePrint Center (or create an account if you do not have one) and then look for your printer status. If printer status is green but you still have pending jobs, delete the pending jobs one at a time (Starting with the oldest first). There may be a print job stuck in the queue that further restricts other jobs from completing.
a. If option 1 or 2 above still doesn’t work, removing web services and re-adding web services will cause the printer to reattach to the cloud.
b. Please note that if you attempt option 3, you will get a new eprint email address (and lose your custom one with no ability to get it back) furthermore, you will need to re-add your printer back to your ePC account.

My send email vi does not send the email out

I am trying to send an email notification and using labview's example vi to send. In the server response everything looks great. It also says "Queued mail for delivery", but I dont' get any email back.
I am sending the email to myself, and also tried sending to other people, but it just doesn;t work. Are there any issues with the server authenticity?

Are you using the 'E-Mail Notification.vi' example? This example creates
a return address based on the server response. Can you try replacing
the generated return address with the email address you are sending to?
Don't know for certain whether that will make a difference with your
mail server. I think the servers we had trouble with were some flavor
of microsoft; they bounced messages from [unknown user]@[mailserver].

3rd party email addresses have to be deleted on every synmced mac product, although I have 1and1.co.uk and my imac updatetes the mails in that account from mac mail.

Ask for security question but they send the email to my other second account ! Not the same email which i logon it

I had a weird problem i have two id apple account one of them i forget the security question i try to ask for reset but when i login to first email and ask for reset they send the email to other email which is in other account !! Issue in sending the email with XL attachment in ECC version

I have an issue with sending the email with XL attachment. My program is sending a mail to the receiver with XLS as attachment. Recently we have migrated from 4.6B to ECC version. Same code was worked in 4.6B.But it is not working in ECC version.When i try to open the attachment, i get a Dialog Box with the following message
"The file is not in a recognizable format.
1. if you know the file is from another program whih is incompatible with Microsoft excel,click cancel,then open this file in its original application
2.If you suspect the file is damaged, click help for more information about solving theproblem.

To Send the Email to Ship to Party for Shipment Notification in SMARTFORMS

HI Gurus,
I am having a scenario to send the EMAIL for Shipment Notification using SMARTFORMS when processed through VT01/VT02N transaction.
I general process, the email is going to Forwarding agent Email address. But the user wants to send the notification to Ship to Party email address.
Is there any IMG settings to be done or should we handle using Custom Driver program.? If yes, can anyone help how to achive this.

How to send the email without using SOST

Hiiiiii Every1,
What i m usiing is SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 FM to send the email to internet add. as well as SAP User.
The Problem is that i have to go to SOST to send the Pending mails. and send the jobs manually.
Then it works all right.
What i want that i don't wnat to send this jobs/ emails mannually by going to SOST..
Is it possible to do it without using SOST.
