Oracle AP Payments - Automatic Payment Setup/Payement Group R12

Hello All,
Is there any Process for automatic Payments/Batch Payments in Oracle R12. We are on 12.1.3. Since the user is making bulk payments by keying manually in Oracle.
Please help me on this

Hello.
First of all you must ensure that you are properly using transactions when you create/update the orders.
There are best practices to update the orders in ATG that must be followed to avoid loss of information.
Like this steps below:
Acquire a write lock using the ATG lock manager.
Start the transaction.
Synchronized on the Order object.
Update the Order.
End the synchronization.
End the transaction.
Release the lock.

Cross Company code posting is available for recurring payment setup?

Hi All,
I could not find the cross company code field for recurring payment setup with useing T code FBD1.
Vendor is created in paying company code 1000, however, the rent has be booked to cross company code (1001) cost center (2000).
So, while trying to do recurring payment setup, I could not see the field.
I know the alternative option that i can use the "Cost Center(1000)" is assigned to CoCd 1000 and do recurring setup without useing cross company code, later i can post the manual journal for correction (as below), however, I do not want use this option.

Ex. you maintained for "RKL     Actual activity allocation" Dr 123 Cr 567
Then while posting activity allocation in CO you'll get posting like Dr 123 Cr 567   (with corresponding CO objects)

What is B2B setup for grouping transaction sets based on criteria.

Oracle B2B offers a time bound Batching feature . However to handle following case such as Batching based on Order Number it is required to define the criterion.
Could you please provide the information on B2B Setup for grouping transactionsets based on input parameter(Invoice id OR Invoice Number or Payment ID ) passing from back end application(BPEL) to B2B.
For count based batching , my understanding is need to pass information in the format " <BatchMode>:<BatchID>:<Count>:<timeout>:" by parameters delivered with the IP_MESSAGE_TYPE construct. Which paramter of IP_MESSAGE_TYPE construct I have to use for passing the values to B2B in the format " <BatchMode>:<BatchID>:<Count>:<timeout>:"
I am unable to find Action name attribute of IP_MESSAGE_TYPE construct to pass the values. Please provide the required information.

ACTION_NAME attribute is not available with SCA. Three channels (Default,AQ,JMS ) are provided in B2B adapter for connecting to B2B. Which one supports action_name attribute?
Design Time:
Presently by using 'Default' channel of B2B adapter i am connecting to B2B. I am unable to pass the value for b2b property "ACTION_NAME" because invoke activity does not has respective sca normalized message propertie "b2b.actionName". So i am adding input property tab in .bpel file under corresponding B2B Adapter invoke tag as given below.

Error while adding oracle database resource to the fail safe group

we are installaing ERP 6.0 EHP4 , oracle10.2.04 in MSCS
During the step, Adding the oracle Database Resource to the fail safe
group , I am getting the error.

how about following the advice given by the error message and moving the mentioned files/folder (init<sid>_OFS.ora, AUDIT folder) to a clustered resource disk?

See note 564350.1.
Basically don't create a new concurrent program. Instead:
1. Create a new RDF and change the executable on APINVSEL to your new executable
2. Create a new BI Publisher RTF Template and duplicate APINVSEL rtf, making sure the Data Template is same as source one.
3. In System Administration (note not System Administrator) go to Concurrent, Program, query APINVSEL, click OnSite settings and change to your custom template.

Is this Oracle Reports bug – “break order property” in "group above" report
Could anybody confirm that in "group above" report, we could only order the brake column's values with ""none" or "ascending" or "descending" provided by "break order property"?
In the following example, “Dept” is brake column. Oracle Reports allows us to order values in “Dept” with “descending” provided by “break order property”:

Why should that be a bug? You have a custom requirement and have to find a way to fulfill it. But, what is your actual sorting order? Do you have only this three departments? If so, you could add an addtional column in your query like
DECODE(DEPT, 20, 1, 10, 2, 30, 3, 4) SORTINGput that column in the same group as dept and sort after that new column.

Oracle offline backup in cluster setup

Dear Experts,
I have installed CRM 2007 on windows and oracle 10g with High availability setup (cluster) and currently in the process of Post-Installation.
As part of post installation, I have to apply support patches. Before that I wanted to take one backup of the system and tried taking the offline backup. My SAP and DB resources are on Node A and before starting the backup I have gone through the "Note 378648 - Offline backup support with Oracle Fail Safe"
and have set the environment varaibles on both Node A and Node B.
Have started the backup from DB13 and initially backup started and DB resource went offline and backup started and files are getting backedup in the path given. But immediately all DB resources came online on Node A and was able to login to SAP. Strange part is even after DB was online backup continued to copy the files in menitoned path and at the end backup completed with errors stating that instance was started during the offline backup and could not start already running instance.
Online backup is working fine. Please suggest how to sort out this issue.

The good news is that your cluster works perfectly for fail overs !
The bad news is that, there is something wrong in your configuration because the database was not set offline as a cluster ressource. Do you have a standalone gateway on the Oracle node ?

Automatic Windows Update via Group Policy in Windows 8

Hi,
I have created a new GPO to place some settings on the Automatic Update to all my client pcs. The settings applied as the image i uploaded below. The problem is that this GPO were successfully applied to all my Windows 7 machine but not Windows 8.1 machines.
Is there anything that i missed or i should know about Windows 8.1 automatic update configuration via Group Policy?. I've tried to google but cant find any guidance that relates. I'm not using WSUS. Appreciates any advise. Thanks.

Hi Leon, yes i have read the blog that you gave, It says that Windows 8 requires a KB update to roll the changes that will solve this issue. However its also said that the update is included in Windows 8.1 and there's no need to update to solve the Automatic
Update behaviour via Group Policy as mentioned. Also tried to apply the KB update suggested, but failed. It is not for Windows 8.1 platform. Is there any other suggestion? I kinda stuck here..

sure, just have a look in $INSTALL_CONF directory. Files starting with swInst* are referencing a response file from $INSTALL_CONF/response directory. Either use a sample configuration file or add your own response file to install Oracle.

Adding the Oracle Database Resource to the Fail Safe Group

I am installtin MSCS cluster for my EP system. After Adding the Oracle Database Resource to the Fail Safe Group my CI jcontrol.exe has been stopped. I tried to connect my SAPSR3DB user by sqlplus but it is giving follwoing error.

but DB startup is running properly and DB is coming in open state properly. After that I have perform R3trans -d. following error

Automatically assign a BP Grouping for a BP Role

Hi, everyone!
I would like to automatically assign an specific Grouping range for a BP when creating it in an specific Role. Now, the user has to select each them separately and sometimes makes mistakes because he selects a wrong Grouping for the Role he is selecting.
Can this be done? I will appreciate a lot your help.

How to setup a group with autentication

Hi, Every body,
I am new in this forum, I found Stratus is a so exciting platform, now I need your help.
I want to setup a group with posting autentication, in the group, some one has the posting right, others have not. I found the "groupspecWithAuthentication, groupspecWithoutAuthentication, encodePostingAuthorization，setPostingPassword" etc. but I cant understand how to use them.
I have dived in this forum and the reference of Stratus 2.0 beta( here) for several days, and I have tried the samples posted by Mike, and I have study almost all threads in this forum, but I still cant find the clue.

Now I understand, but I still wonder,
1. if a group is in running, and a authorized user has joined. Now he misdoes, I want to withdraw the authentication, how can I? revise the password and recreate the group?
2. How can I setup a group, just authorized users can join? I know I can use secret group name, but if authorized user divulge the group name, others without autentication can join the group too. ( because the swf easy to reverse, hacker can sniff the opaque groupspec string, revise the swf, impersonate authorized user, etc).
3. How can I banishment a misdoer from my group?

Hello,
Probably that you already have the listener up and running from your installation of SES.
Also, you could check in your Windows Services (from the Control Panel), you'll see that
there is a service like OraclesesTNSListener up and running.
If it is the case, then it's probably why it is telling you the message below when trying to start it again:
TNS-01106: Listener using listener name LISTENER has already been started
Then, before trying to start the listener, you can check if it is already up by running the command : lsnrctl status
If you need to shut it down, then you can run the command : lsnrctl stop
for example, from the command line:
> set ORACLE_SID=ASUSES
> set ORACLE_BASE=D:\ses\
> set ORACLE_HOME=D:\ses\seshome
> cd %ORACLE_HOME%/bin
> lsnrctl status            <== this will give you the status of your listener
> lsnrctl stop              <== this will stop your listener
> lsnrctl start             <== this will start your listener

i have done that. i copied the tnsnames.ora, sqlnet.ora, listener.ora files from the c:>oracle-home\network\admin folder into oracle_devhome\network\admin folder. i have also set the environment variable oracle_sid=skoolman. skoolman is my sid as you can see on the tnsnames.ora. but the error massage still comes up as soon as i run forms from the forms builder environment.
but as i said i am able to connect to the database with my user name and pass word from within the forms builder environment to access my tables and create data blocks etc but as soon as i run the form through internet explorer the forms servlet boots up and the error massage ora-12560 tns protocol adapter error pops up.
