Oracle application r12 Shows End dated Responsibility

Hi,
I am using R12.1.2 Oracle E Business suit. I have couple of responsibilities with same name (Small letters and Caps Letter name). after disabling (End-Dated) All lower case responsibilities also i am able to see all these end-dated lower case Responsibilities via> System Administrator >profile>system
Is there any method to hide/delete these end dated responsibilities.
Thanks,
Vishal

Hi,
Is there any method to hide/delete these end dated responsibilities.
i want to hide that end dated responsibility.Deleting responsibilities/User cannot be done as this would cause referential integrity issues.
There is no direct way to hide end dated responsibilities, but you may try forms personalization to achieve that.
By the way, what is the point of hiding responsibilities?
Thanks,
Hussein

    Hi,
I'm new to Oracle, we used to have one production and one test server for Oracle Application R12, but the test server was corrupted, so we decided to clone production server and create a new test server, after cloning and creation of test server, how should we do to change IP address, hostname and domain name for test server?
Our production and test server environment is:
    Linux Enterprise AS 2.6.9
Application module: E-Business Suite Treasury only
Your advice will be much appreciated.

There are few tnsnames.ora and listener.ora files in the system, how to know which one are effective? If I change tnsnames.ora hostname entry, do I need to change listerner.ora file also?
    Thanks.
    Regard,
Kenneth.tnsnames.ora is used only by client processes. listner.ora is used only to configure the listener, and that is a server side issue only. In addition, the listener can start without any listener.ora at all, using all default values. See my discussion of tns issues at edstevensdba.wordpress.com
If you are using dbcontrol, you will most likely need to reconfigure it, using the emca utility.

    Hi,
Most of these integrations are prebuilt. Look for AIA/PIP.
If you check out the presentations from OOW there were session on how other customers have done this.

  • IPM 11g integration with oracle applications R12

    Hi,
We are in process of setting up first IPM instance for AP invoice processing. I installed all required software and got IPM server up and running. I was following installation guide for integration with applications R12 but it is not detailed enough so opened oracle SR and now analyst himself is saying documentation is not enough and you need to use solution accelarator kit. Oracle's product manger is not giving kit before giving training and there is no training in near future so we are just at full stop at this time. Has anybody done successful install and end to end integration with 11g version without solution kit? Can anybody point me to good detailed documentation?
I would appreciate any help I can get on this.
    Thanks,
    Jigisha

    Hi
AP Invoice end to end processing would need to have IPM , EBS , ODC , OFR (if needing to include forms recoginition functionality as well ) .
This is the outline of the architecture that need to be set up for end to end AP processing .
Let me look around if there is any documentation which gives further details on this topic .
    Thanks

  • Oracle Application R12.1.1 Migration from Solaris to Linux 64-bit

    Hi,
    Our existing System:
    On Solaris 9:
    Database 10.2.0.2
    EBS 11.5.10.2
We are planning to Upgrade the system to
    Database 11.2.0.3
    EBS R12.1.3
We also want to migrate to RHEL 5 64-bit.
Please let me know if you have experience with respect to the following issues:
    1. Can I use *Application Tier Platform Migration with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [ID 438086.1]* as reference for my scenario? The document mentions that only Windows is supported as the source platform.
    2. When they copy APPL_TOP from source to target - how the binaries from source operating system will work on target operating system? Else, are they platform independent?
    3. Will the following approach work?
    a. Migrate 10.2.0.2 database from source (Solaris) to target (RHEL 5 64-bit).
    b. Upgrade 10.2.0.2 database to 11.2.0.3 on target.
    c. Install R12.1.1 in upgrade mode on target.
    d. Retrofit customization.
    e. Upgrade R12.1.1 to R12.1.3
Also can you recommend best practise for Migrating database?
    Thanks in advance.

Note: Application Tier Platform Migration with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 438086.1) reads: "The instructions in this document are for migration to a target UNIX/Linux platform. At present, Windows is only supported as a source platform."
Note the word SOURCE. So the restriction is Windows cannot be used as a TARGET platform, but other platforms can.
The content of the APPL_TOP is re-used in the Target environment, except for the binaries; these are delivered by applying the "customer-specific update" as in Note : Application Tier Platform Migration with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 438086.1)
For information on the database migration check Note: 10g Release 2 Export/Import Process for Oracle Applications Release 11i (Doc ID 362205.1) and http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/entry/migrating_ebusiness_suite_databases_between_platfo
The scenario seems OK, but needs to be tested of course.
For information related to upgrading the database for the EBS upgrade check Note: Database Preparation Guidelines for an E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Upgrade (Doc ID 761570.1)

  • Unable to use Un-End dated Responsibility

    Hi All,
Having a bit of a problem un-end dating responsibilities within existing user records.
Step1. Assign responsibility to a user
Step2. End date responsibility on user record
Step3.Delete end date from responsibility from user record
This is constantly causing problems with user access. We also run the Sync tables report, but this does not appear to give us any success, any tips would be greatly appreciated.
