Oracle Application Unsupported Browser Alerts

Hi experts,
I'm getting an Unsupported Browser alert message whenever I'm logging in to Oracle RPAS Fusion Client, and when I'm
adding the Fusion Client URL to the compatibility settings of Internet Explorer, it doesn't work. It can't be added.
Does anyone know something about this? or can I use Google Chrome as my browser instead? Is it supported by Oracle?
Thanks,
Jermy

Hello Adrián,
Application Server 10g was desupported on December 31st, 2011 as per information in the [url http://www.oracle.com/support/library/brochure/lifetime-support-middleware.pdf]Lifetime Support Bulletin.

  • Customize unsupported browser alert

    Hi,
I'm using WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8 and I would like to customize the unsupported browser alert message.
It says "You are using an unsupported browser. The supported browsers are Internet Explorer 7 and higher, Firefox 2.0.0.2 and higher, Safari 3.1.2 and higher, and Google Chrome 1.0 or higher."
Our application does not support IE7 that's why I would like to modify the message.
Is there any way to do it?
    Thanks.

    Hi Jureka.
I'm referring ADF Skinning not just a Skin CSS of WebCenter Portal.
You can define your own skins using trinidad-skins.xml configuration file. Inside of this files you can also specify a resource-bundle to override the strings used by ADF Framework (as AFUnsupportedBrowser, AFUnsupportedBrowserMode).

  • How could the Oracle Application Module Browser collect all the interfaces?

How could the Oracle Application Module Browser comes with the Oracle AS Adapter collect all the interfaces that are available through Oracle Integration Repository? Is it from the XML description file in the Oracle Integration Repository?
    Thanks,

Did you ever figure this out? I'm encountering the same issue.
    Thanks.

  • Grants for non-apps user to view APIs in oracle application module browser

    Hi,
Im trying to make a connection with E-Business Suite using the Oracle Applications Adapter and the Enterprise Service Bus. I follow all the steps for creating the connection pools, connection data sources and connection factories using the standar apps user. After setting up the environment I can drag the oracle applications adapter to a ESB project and choose from all the modules available the especific functionality I want.
The problem comes when I try to use a user different from apps. When I try to set the connection with other user no E-Business Suite modules are display in the Adapter wizard.
Are there any specific privileges I should set up to this database user (non-apps) to give him acces to API, XML Gateways, Tables/views,Business Events, etc??.

Could you let me know the procedure/steps to assign privileges and/or responsibilities for new oracle apps userI understand this is for an application user.
when I am trying to import a journalAgain, you have to run this as an application user.
Same import is working fine with default Oracle applications 11i "APPS" user.APPS is a database user (NOT an application user). So, the Application user you want to create and assign him responsibilities has nothing to do with the database user. If you assign the same responsibilities which the other user has (the one which you use to import journals) to the new application user, then you should be able to do the task successfully.

  • Oracle application adapter

    Hi,
How can I see and call custom concurents and interfaces through the oracle application adapter?
currently I dont see them and therefore not able to run my costomized concurrent
    thanks,
    Amit

    Hi,
We have similar requirements - calling a custom concurrent program from Apps Adapter.
Now, some googling brought out the following document, that gives some clue but not the complete answer
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10537/T430238T528906.htm
    Some excerpts
    - Oracle Integration Repository can only provide information about an integration interface that has been specifically annotated by the developer to make it public.
Support for Custom Integration Interfaces in Various Versions of Oracle E-Business Suite
    1. -- For Release 12, Oracle Integration Repository is shipped as part of the E-Business Suite which enables Adapter for Oracle Applications to directly connect to the live database of Oracle Integration Repository querying for the public interfaces and then displaying the list of customized PL/SQL APIs under the Other Interfaces node in the Oracle Applications Module Browser.
    2. -- To support the Release 11i10 version of Oracle E-Business Suite, Adapter for Oracle Applications provides the Integration Repository data file bundled as part of the product in xml format. At the design time, Adapter for Oracle Applications queries public interfaces from the native XML data file of the Integration Repository located in the Adapter and displays the list of custom integration interfaces under the Other Interfaces node in the Oracle Applications Module Browser.
    3. To support the pre-Release 11i10 versions of Oracle E-Business Suite, Adapter for Oracle Applications connects to the live application database for the integration information on all interface types. Since there is no differentiation between public, private, and customized PL/SQL APIs in the pre-Release 11i10 versions of Oracle E-Business Suite, Adapter for Oracle Applications displays them all under the node of each module through Oracle Applications Module Browser.
So had I been using R12 or pre 11i10, I would have been fine as apps adapter would query the EBiz directly. But I am on 11.5.10. And the notes say that there is Integration Repository data file bundled as part Apps Adapter. I believe I would be required to add my custom concurrent program in this....
My question is, where is this file?
    Kindly help...

  • How to create an alert in Oracle Applications

Can anyone help me, I want to be able to create an alert (not email) that will pop up on the screen of Oracle Applications 11i
to remind everyone to change the passwords in xx days. I know there are alerts that send email, but people hardly check their emails
promptly in my organization so I wish to use forms to create an alert that will pop up on the screen.
    Thanks.

I think there is some confusion here! The solution that has been outlined is the 'standard' way of achieving the result that a user has to change his/her password every xx days. BUT, this will only prompt them when they try to log in AFTER the xx days has expired.
I think you are asking for a method of alerting the user xx days BEFORE the password is due to expire, like Windows for example.
I am not an expert in technical changes to forms (e.g. forms personalisation), but I thought it might help if I clarified what I think you are asking. Others may have the actual answer!
An alert would possibly achieve what you want, but consider this... if users don't read their emails, and they only log in occasionally, what use is alerting them on the system going to be? They will still only see the alert when they log in, and that may already be after the password has expired!
If my interpretation is wrong, please update this thread so I don't confuse anybody.
    Regards
    Tim

  • Re: JDeveloper not showing database objects in"Oracle Applications"Adapter?

    Hi
I am trying to create a BPEL process through JDeveloper10.1.3.4 and using a Oracle Application Service. When using the Adapter Configuration wizard, i am successfully able to connect to the database but when there is an option to select the inteface to the Oracle Application Data for table/views/APIs/Concurrent Programs after clicking Next
I am getting an alert that says you are connected to 11.5.10 instance, Add the database objects.
After clicking in Add - Oracle Aplications Module Browser comes up with Blank values and nothing works here, neither Search nor Browse and just has a cancel button.
Please if some body has faced similar issue or has understanding on it, help me on this.
    Thanks

You'll have better luck posting in the right forum. This one is for issues relating to Oracle's ODBC driver.
I'm not familiar enough with JDEV to know which forum that is top of my head though.

  • Report does not display data in Oracle Applications

I created a custom report and registered the same under Oracle Order Entry. The report uses 1 parameter and whereas everything is registered in Oracle apps. correctly, the report draws a blank upon completion. The only visible thing is the header part.
This report though works fine if run directly from Reports Designer.
Anybody know what specific setting (if required) needs to be made in Oracle Applications? Further in order that you can know the picture, whatever is enclosed in the Repeating Frame does not show up in App. but as pointed earlier works just fine from Reports Designer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using a browser (FireFox v2) based InfoView so I guess it is the DHTML viewer.
On the server it is java (Tomcat). The report uses a custom driver (crdb_ado).
Currently all the servers (RAS, page, cache etc) are running under LocalSystem account. I don't understand what a domain account is, is it administrator?
The interesting part is, I was able to upload and run 8 other reports before I experienced this problem. Have I hit some limit?
I appreciate your help. Please share any other ideas/insights on this issue.

  • How to integrate Oracle Portal running on Oracle Application Server 10.1.2

I have an Oracle Portal running on a Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.
Portal is responsible ( along with OID ) for the users authentication and authorization.
There is a new JEE application that was developed recently, which the Portal users must have access to.
HOW can I put a link into a page of the Portal, that redirects the portal user to a new browser window displaying my new application?
HOW can this new application, running in a separate weblogic 11g (10.3.5) server, automatically authenticate with the same username/password previously authenticated when the user logged into the portal?
    Any ideas?
I´ve already thought in a bunch of ways to do it:
    - put a link into the portal with a sessionId, then when opening the new app, it automatically tries to use the same session. How can I configure this session id during the creation of the portal's page? How can I use it from the new app to use the same session?
    - put a link into the portal with a userid, then when opening the new app, it automatically tries to authenticate using a different authentication provider configurated in WL, which points to Portal´s OID. In this situation, how can I ensure that the user is already logged in and the session has not timed out?
    - Should I use OSSO?
    - Should I use OAM?
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Murilo

    Hi Murilo,
A portletized version of your J2EE app would probably have been ideal for your purpose as it would handle both authentication (through SSO) and session information (through Portal framework as the framework can pass session information to the provider/producer). This would require changes to the application however.
Easiest approach would be to use mod_osso to protect your J2EE application. SSO would then handle the authentication for your Portal and your J2EE application.
    Thanks,
    EJ

  • Unable Logging in to Oracle Application Express Administration Services

I am new for DB. Installed Oracle XE, followed the instruction "Logging in to Oracle Application Express Administration Services", I can not find the login page:
    http://127.0.0.1:7777/pls/apex/apex_admin
I work on the PC in which XE installed.
    Where are these two files
    ORACLE_BASE\ORACLE_HOME\install\portlist.ini
    ORACLE_BASE\ORACLE_HOME\Apache\Apache\conf\httpd.conf
    I did a search, can't find them.
    Any help welcome.
    Thanks.

The default port for the Apex webserver is 8080, not 7777.
To access the XE Database GUI from the Start menu, select Programs (or All Programs), then Oracle Database 10g Express Edition, and then Go to Database Home Page. (I'm assuming your on Windows)
Or try: http://localhost:8080/apex in your browser.
The files you mention relate to Apache web server. Oracle XE does not include a Apache, it's web server is built into the database. Are you sure you're following the right documentation? See http://www.oracle.com/pls/xe102/homepage
    Hope this helps.
