Oracle Apps Post Installation Error

Dears,
Thanx very much for your wonderful posts.Really Appreciate your time and help.
I tried to install Oracle R12 and getting this error at Post Install. Checked all services. They are working fine. Also Database connection is working fine. Could you throw some light on where should I dig upon to trace the error. It starts issue from configuration upload file CONF_VIS.txt

    The issue is fixed.
Our XML Publisher TMP is not defined, so it uses the APPLTMP used by concurrent manager. There is a folder xdofonts/<SID> in $APPLTMP. It contains the fonts used by XML publisher and on the of font file (.ttf) was 0 byte. We copied the ttf file from QA. And it started working.
Best practice is to define diffent TMP for concurrent managers and XML Publisher.

oracle APP'S Installations Context Value Management Could not started
    how it is started

Fadi, Context Value Management runs during Rapid Install or AutoConfig to make sure the context file is in good order. If it fails at the time of the installation, then most probably you have missing components at the OS level.

I think you have to relink genclntsh lib ... there should be a script... genclntsh in $ORACLE_HOME/bin.
the directive -laaa means that linker is looking for libaaa.
If an error occure, if I remember correctly try to remove the -Z flags in ld command.

    Hi Friends,
I Installed Oracle 11i 11.5.9 on Linux 4.0 Advanced Server. I am using the same machine for Server and client to logon to Oracle Applications, using Mozilla browser. The system Post-Installation Check inspected my system for a completed installation and found the following "JSP check" did not succeed for TEST instance. The detailed error is:

I finished the installation by bypassing the JSP error and tried to logon Apps Home page using the following URL - http://oraapps.atos.com:8000 I get the links for loging to different applications(CRM,OAM and E-Business Suite) . When I try to login E-Business home page I get the following error:

    Kindly help in this regard.

    Sidharth ,
Do you have a valid entry in the hosts file?
I would suggest you change your hostname "sid-87f00f29add", and check then. You can either change it and start the installation all over again OR follow the steps outlined in the following notes to do that.

  • Oracle R Enterprise installation ERROR: cannot copy dll file

This is bit strange, I posted this message in 2 forums but surprisingly can't find it anymore!! Anyways, I would appreciate if anyone can help me a bit on this issue:
I am having trouble installing ORE 1.3 on my windows 7 (home premium, personal notebook) 64 bit. I strictly followed the installation note and made sure all the path variables are defined properly. My R version is 2.15.1. My Windows user is a member of ora_dba group as can be seen below.

The command completed successfully. Now when I try to install.bat (bare with me as I try to include the whole path as I believe there may be the problem. Note that my oracle and R installation is in H:\ drive, not in C:\. Can that be an issue about some windows permission? I off-course tried many ways, gave the user full permission, but no luck.)

    Hi all,
I have finally solved the problem, it seems somehow on my windows home premium I can't run the install script (on H:\ ) from the command line. I manually ran the batch script by double clicking on it, it ran fine and I was finally able to install ORE (server + supported + client) on my laptop. Now the connection -- followed through the manual, created user and granted all the roles. Now that I want to test the connection, I open R console and below are the input and output error message though it seems I can connect to the database:

But while running the start CD I am getting an error.while completion of RDBMS - Disk 1, I am getting error RW-50004 Error. Kindly resolve this issue whoever has mastered over it.
I extend my gratitude in anticipation.
    Awaiting reply
    Vijay

Other people has had this problem before, you may want to check for it Re: Error RW50004/RW50011.
Most common solution for this issue has to do with the way ksh is being called from the path envrionment variable, and where the install script assumes where it is.
    1. Make soft link of the file from /usr/local/bin/ksh to /usr/bin/ksh and before you start your installation start a session in a ksh environment.
    or
    2. Alter the search path used by the install script. Not advisable, as you are not suppossed to tamper with Oracle code.
    or
    3. Copy ksh From /usr/local/bin/ksh to /usr/bin
It is recommended to read the metalink this document Doc ID: 287453.1 "Oracle Applications 11.5.10 - Installation Update Notes for Linux x86 ...".

  • Oracle 11g XE - Installation Error

I am trying to install oracle xe 11g on my Win XP. The installation goes thru well. But when we start the database it starts too. However If I want to login it wont allow.
I tried to use connect using sys account as sysdba I get the following message:
    Connected to an idle instance.
After some investigation I figured that there is a script that is not properly formatted in 'postDBCreation.sql". The following is the change that I found the error:
    create spfile='C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\dbs/spfileXE.ora' FROM pfile='C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\config\scripts\init.ora';
This should have been like below
    create spfile='C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\dbs\spfileXE.ora' FROM pfile='C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\config\scripts\init.ora';
After this change I tried to run XE.Bat file but it is throughing all kinds of SQL errors.
Can someone tell me what is wrong with this beta version of the Oracle 11g XE installation.
Lastly get started link also is not working too!!!
    Thanks much in advance,
    SB

I have used the oracle's OSR installation guide. I beg to differ if OSR is really enterprise ready product.
I dont think this is a specific problem with my installation. The point is that the installation logs is very poor to put it mildly.
you get a sense that this product is developed by school student and is not an enterprise ready software.
