Oracle Apps Standard Database Views not appearing in OBIEE
Hi
I am trying to select the Standard database views of oracle apps.
for example PO_HEADERS_V, PO_LINES_V.....etc.
I am unable to see in the (import metadata ) page.
I have selected the options (Tables, Keys, forign key, View)
Thanks
Ahmed
What do you mean by "changes don't appear"? Don't appear where? Are you using row-wise initialization of the Group variable? If so, have you turned off caching for it?

Adding a Z field in Standard Database view
Hi ALL
My requirement is to add a z field in a Standard Database View .
Please advice how do i go ahead .
Urgent help will be appreciated .
Thanks
ShwetaIn the View,Menubar->goto-> append view.
It will ask for the structure for append. You now have to define a name for this append view. The system proposes a list of the append views that already exist for this view. If there is no reason for not doing so, you should choose an append view from this list and then enhance it.
If the view does not yet have an append view, the system normally proposes a standard name that can be selected if there is no reason for not doing so. If no name is proposed, you must select a name in your namespace. -
The application called VirusScan that comes preloaded on the macbook will no longer open, claiming that it is corrupt and that I must reinstall it. After looking in the app store it does not appear that said application is available for re-downloading. Is there a special, non-app store place where I am to go for this?
Also, I installed MacKeeper about two-three months ago and am questioning its performance. Looking for input as to whether or not this application helps or hinders my system.I'll back up Csound on the MacKeeper thing. In fact, I actually wrote the following about it:
http://www.reedcorner.net/news.php/?p=245
Remove is ASAP. Do not use the provided uninstalled, as there are widespread reports of pop-ups advertising MacKeeper on your system after incompletely removing it. Try this:
http://applehelpwriter.com/2011/09/21/how-to-uninstall-mackeeper-malware/
As for VirusScan, Barney is right on the money that it does not come preinstalled on any Mac shipped new from Apple. However you have gotten it, your best bet is removing it. See my Mac Malware Guide for more information that will help you understand and avoid Mac malware without relying on anti-virus software.

Recently when I install apps, the icon does not appear on the menu screen, also, it shows that it is downloading at the app store and when complete, I can not open it or reinstall it. Has happened on the last 4 free apps. Help Please
Reset your iPad. Press and hold both the power and home buttons for 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till you iPad starts on it's own. Now try and download an app.

After installing an App, the icon does not appear on the desktop?
After installing an App, the icon does not appear on the desktop? Where would I find it?
Some people have found that an app (usually iBooks for some reason) hasn't appeared on a homescreen until after the iPad has been reset and has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Also depending on what the app is have you got an age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ? -

I purchased an app and it does not appear as an icon on my IPad The only way to play the game is to go to the App Store and click on open( which is always opened)
Are your home screens completely full? Is the app buried in a folder? Can you access it from the Spotlight Search feature.
Try quitting the app completely, reboot the iPad and then see if the icon shows up.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

Oracle Forms 11g Login Screen Not Appearing
Environment:
1 PC running RHEL5 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 5) Operating System 64-bit with Oracle Database 11g (64-bit)
1 PC running RHEL5 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 5) Operating System 32-bit with Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (64-bit), plus Oracle WebLogic Server 32-bit
1 PC windows (work PC) is the client so just using any browser to connect to the application
Trying to run a sample form, and have all processes started (nodemanager, weblogic, opmn, emagent, emctl), database listener, database started up, but when the Oracle Forms Services splash screen display comes up, it just hangs and the default Oracle login screen does not appear. I'm at a loss. I moved my 3 pcs thus got new IP addresses via the DHCP network. Setup the TNSNAMES.ORA with the IP address of the db machine in the file of the webserver machine. Can connect directly on the machine, can connect via TOAD, SQL+ but not when launching a form. Any clues?
Thanks,

Did you start Managed servers like WLS_FORMS .. Well when I go to the AdminConsole for the FormsDomain, I see 3 servers with a status of "RUNNING": AdminServer, WLS_FORMS, WLS_REPORTS. Then when I go to the Enterprise Manager for the FormsDomain I see all domains with all the servers (AdminServer, WLS_FORMS, WLS_REPORTS), in a green status up and running (100%).
I made sure I started the NodeManager, WebLogicServer scripts.

Fernando.Hello,
I suiggets you're using MSIE
The Microsoft Java Machine has some differents with standart Sun JVM, so the "Diagram" applet doesn't work
Install the Sun Java SDK v 1.4.1 or high. You may get it from http://java.sun.com
Check the box "Use Java2 v.1.4...."
in your IE: Tools->Properties->Addition properties->Java(Sun) -

Thanks in advance.Thank you for getting back to me so quickly!
When I signed in to Event Viewer, I got an error message that my event services weren't running, so I downloaded this fix from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2478117
That started my Event Services and allowed me to sign into Event Viewer and clear my logs. They are all clear now.

Calling OCS webservices from Oracle apps 9i database
Hi I want to know if there is any documentation on how to call OCS web services directly from 9i database on which our oracle E-Bussiness Suite 11.5.10 is running.
There is a metalink note on calling ocs java api using load java utility. I am not looking at this but I want to call directly web service( SOAP xml etc) from 9i PL/SQL. Where can I get more info on this? All I see is Java Web services API.Hi,
Is there any way to upload files into OCS using standard web services? I am not talking about ocs java api on the top of web services.
I have been looking into getting more info but I am not able to get any help on this.
If OCS is completely supporting webservices, then Why are webservices are not exposed?
We have many client applications, from which we want to upload documents into OCS. Is there any sample code using java on how to call OCS web services( not the ocs java API) to upload content into OCS? -
