Oracle AQM exam details

hi
Can anybody give me the more details on the Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Application Quality Management Essentials (1Z0-529) exam details.
ideally how much minimum time we can take to prepare and write exam.
as iam planning to write the exam

Hi,
As with any licencing question please confirm with an oracle sales rep and don't trust what a 'stranger' tells you on some forum site. However having said that if you look at page 47 of this:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/multitenant-wp-12c-1949736.pdf
It implies a single PDB in a CDB is ok and does not need a multitenant licence, this seems to be called 'Lone PDB' or 'SIngle tenant'

.... The most likely response is from someone training to sell unauthorised learning materials.
..... The OCP should understand the exams topics and online manuals for 11g should be sufficient. Oracle Press Books and Sybex Books for 11g DBA OCP should also cover number of the required topics if that helps. Not to mention Oracle University Training.

I've now read on your subject what you meant by fundamentals +(if all else fails read the original posters question)+.. ie 9i DBA OCA and 9i DBA OCP .... no for you forget those and and follow the link to the Pl/SQL developer track ....

Exam order is not important, but you dont get certificates unless pre-requisites all met. The is an interesting cheap beta exam arround at present if you are up for it ... 1z0-144

Dhivya MI am still not fully sure I understand whether you are seeking training or how to register for the exam.
To see where you can take the exam goto: http://www.pearsonvue.com/Oracle/locate/
To register to schedule and sit the exam goto http://www.pearsonvue.com/Oracle/

http://certiifcation.oracle.com is a valuable resource. Be sure you have fully read everything relevant under 'getting started' and also 'support - faq'
    If you are seeking training:-
    1) See education.oracle.com for Oracle University Training.
    2) You might find the Workforce development program give more cost effective training: https://workforce.oracle.com/pls/wdp/new_home.main . Please note that I believe their website can be misleading; especially for some countries.
Please note that certain (typically higher) Certifications require a course attendance from an appropriate institution. Particularly If you are not going through Oracle University ensure that your certification course requirements will mean the certification requirements, and if in any doubt do not rely upon the course providers word.

Understanding how we develop our exams can give you some great insight to how you can best study and prepare to earn your Oracle Certification.</p>

    Hi,
I recently completed my PL/SQL exam. I hope you have taken a course on that. Oracle Courseware is the best to prepare for the exam. THere are unscored questions on that.
There aree lot of questions on procedures, functions, subprograms, packages, lobs, trggers and depedencies.
You need to clearly understand the difference between package specification and package body, where you need to use subprograms, the difference between row level trigger and statement level trigger, Directory Object used to create Lob, UTl, Dependencies, how to invoke procedures and functions.
    Thanks

How could 64bit Oracle be installed on a 32bit OS ?
That said, you could check the binary:
    file $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle
/appl/oracle/product/10.2.0/bin/oracle: *ELF-64* executable object file ...Nicolas.
I realized that no where in the link you provided, it is said to "vi" on oracle bin... how does it come to your mind then ?

  • Reference book for Oracle Linux exam 1Z0-402

    Hi gurus!
Can you please give me useful reference books which cover the al topics for Oracle Linux Exam 1Z0-402 preparation?
    Thanks
    Mokarem

Can you please give me useful reference books which cover the al topics for Oracle Linux Exam 1Z0-402 preparation?By itself, 1Z0-402 does not grant any certification. Presumably you are going for Oracle Linux Administrator Certified Associate. That certification path also requires passing 1Z0-403. However, you can skip 1Z0-402 if you already have one of several other industry Linux certifications (LPI, Linux+, Ubuntu, Red Hat, or Novell). My recommendation would be to go for one of these certifications, then skip straight to the 1Z0-403 exam. I suggest that for several reasons:
    1. There is a lot more study resources for exams like CompTIAs Linux+ available.
    2. The other Linux certifications are better known than Oracle's.
    3. Since 1Z0-402 by itself does not grant a certification, going this route gets you two certifications for the price of one.

  • Price of oracle db exams went up to $245 without warning

    Hi,
    I have many oracle certs.
I am very disappointed that we got no warning that oracle database exam prices were going to jump from $195 to $245 on June 1st.
I was thinking about buying several exam vouchers.
    Now they are $50 more.
Some of the other database vendors frequently offer 10 to 20% off or 2nd shot gimicks.
I hope Oracle would consider offering some type of discount.
Others please add to this post if you would like discount codes provided.
    Thanks
PS: A little over 3 years ago it was only $125, and now it is $245.

    >The dollar value of the certifications is 0.  For some people with a
    >dim view of the marketing of certs, less than that.
    >I've only seen value in my cert for jobs that require a cert.
One of the messages that I try to get out about certifications is that there are two types of value to them, and only one of the two do you have any control over.
Type I: If you spend your test preparation time trying to learn each of the test topics as thoroughly as possible, then almost any Oracle professional -- even the most experienced -- is liable to learn something new. For people just starting out with Oracle, this strategy will teach them a huge amount about the database. It doesn't really match actual experience working with the database, but it's a huge amount better than having no knowledge at all. It will also give them a running start once they do get a job working with Oracle.
Type II: There are employers who give weight to Oracle certifications. This is not in question -- you even note that some require it. Not all do and not all of those that do give the same amount of weight.  I have never met any that consider certification to be a negative, so I don't understand your less-than-zero comment.  The only time I would consider it a negative is if someone with a certification were to interview with me and the interview questions led me to believe that they did not know enough to have passed the test and likely used a brain dump.
My certifications have come up in several interviews and I know that they have impacted my interviewers in a positive fashion.  Part of that is that I don't overplay them.  I would never claim to be an expert because I hold a certification for a given area. Instead I present my certifications (quite truthfully) in the fashion that I use them.  Namely I tell prospective employers that I use certifications as a means of continually improving my knowledge of Oracle. Strangely I have never found an interviewer who thinks this reflects poorly on me.
I also continue to get certifications while I work for a company.  I try to get a couple each year and always present them on my annual 'self-evaluations' as part of my job-skill improvement process. I'm confident that over the years this has led to at least some upward variance in my merit-pay increases. However, I obviously cannot prove it without access to the 'me' in a parallel universe who does not believe in certifications.

  • OCA Oracle 10g exams

    Hello,
It looks from the Oracle Press books that one should be using Oracle Enterprise Manager as much as possible.
So when it comes to things such as altering tablespaces , for the exam are we expected to still know the SQL or just that we can modify using the Enterprise Manager?

    Thanks in advance..
Will wait for reply..Don't use braindumps!!! It's illegal!
Why should I stay away from Braindumps?
    •You can lose your Certifications
•You can be banned from taking any other exams
•You will not benefit from their use
•You will be caught if you use braindumps, it's only a matter of time
•Braindumps are a clear violation of the certification Non-Disclosure Agreement
•Braindumps hinder your ability to learn the material
•If you have the exam questions ahead of time, you'll be less motivated to learn the material
•The information is shoddy, at best, and cannot be trusted
•The information is often old and out of date
•The claim "actual exam questions" is rarely true
•The information provided in braindumps is only the information that could be remembered
•If you've ever searched out or asked for braindumps, there are records of it
•If you've ever passed dumps on to others, there are records of it
•The sources that the dumps are derived from are inconsistent
•Braindumps do not teach you how to solve the problems that are normally seen in the IT Field
    •Braindumps hurt everyone around you
•Braindumps devalue the Certifications that knowledgeable IT Professionals have studied so hard to attain.
