I've been searching for it on your behalf but with no luck. My old links no longer work so I think Oracle may have withdrawn it. I recommend you ask support because they can sometimes get you to access software that is not available on OTN.
You'll probably need to give a justification as to why you want the 10g download when 11g is available.

When I launch SQL*Plus, I can log in as scott/tiger. However, when I tried logging in as internal/oracle or system/manager, I could not log in. Please advise.

Oracle SID 102iSQL*Plus service fails

Dear All,
I am performing a IDES server installation. After installation of Oracle and subsequent reboot, the service Oracle<SID>102iSQL*Plus fails to come up. Right now it is stopped.
I have read previous threads which say this is not required and even can be stopped and set to manual.
What I am concerned about is, whether this is required during installation or not?

Connecting Oracle using SQL Plus in command window through LDAP settings?

Just like to know if it is possible to connect Oracle using SQL Plus with connection type as LDAP.
Generally we connect to Oracle in cmd window as
username/password@DBServiceName
Similarly is it possible to connect Oracle using SQL plus cmd window using LDAP configuration settings.
Eg:-
If my LDAP server is oid:123:456
Context is: cn=OracleContext,dc=abcdefgh,dc=com
DBService is: xyz

Specify the -L command line option to SQL*Plus, i.e.:
sqlplus -L username/password@db @blah.sql
(this will prevent the second prompt for username/password if the initial login is unsuccessful for any reason, like an invalid password).

Oracle SID iSQL*Plus

After upgrading oracle 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.2 in SAP server, we are not able to find "Oracle<SID> iSQL*Plus" service. Even we are able to enter in database.
Please guide me if we need to create this service?

you are talking about service, it seems on windows. check what oradim.log file saying in ORACLE_HOME/database.
also you can create or edit the service using oradim utility.
oradim -new -sid <sid> -pfile <pfile location>

In Oracle 10g, iSQL* Plus Application Server is not starting

I have Windows XP OS, installed Oracle 10g.
But Finally OracleOraDb10g_home1iSQL*Plus is not starting.
I had looked in windows services OracleOraDb10g_home1iSQL*Plus status is in Starting. Not Starting
How to solve this problem, Because two or three client systems want to access this oracle iSQL*Plus through browser.

How to login in Oracle 10g SQL Plus

I just installed Oracle 10g. I tried to login to SQL Plus by using scott and tiger to be user name and password, but it did not work. What can I do about it?

You have to configure a Net service name, and connect as
sqlplus scott/tiger@<service_name>
You can use the Net Configuration Assistant to do that. This is in the Oracle menu on Windows systems. On Unix/Linux you can use the netca utility.
If you are working locally (on the server), you can also set the ORACLE_SID environment variable :
Windows : set ORACLE_SID=<your_sid>
Unix/Linux : ORACLE_SID=<your_sid>; export ORACLE_SID
then connect as
sqlplus scott/tiger

Joining tables in Oracle BI Discoverer Plus 10g

My company just implemented Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer Plus 10g and I'm a little confused. It looks like this new version of Discoverer was created with the idea of "simplifying" things for the end user. But it seems to be lacking crucial features that our power users need. Like writing their own SQL statements.
Does anyone have any suggestions? What version of Discoverer should our advanced user's use? Can you suggest another tool? We could always give them SQL Developer, but this seems like overkill. It seems like Oracle has ignored a certain market segment. That is the power user segment. There are many users who can write SQL but do not work in IT. SQL Developer is too much but Discoverer is not enough.

These days, Oracle is much more accepting of carrying on and even improving legacy products, so long as there’s customers willing to pay support fees.
You just have to see what happened to JD Edwards. When Peoplesoft purchased this several years ago they hardly made any improvements to it and it was being run into the ground. When Oracle purchased Peoplesoft they acquired JD Edwards too but rather than letting the slide continue they have actually have been actively improving it. So much so, that they have issued a major upgrade, thus prolonging the life of JD Edwards for years to come. Oracle could easily have let it slip into obscurity and told the JD Edwards' customers that they needed to convert to E-Business Suite, but they didn't. This is despite the fact that JD Edwards runs on one of their prime competitor's platforms, the IBM AS400!
So you see, Oracle are not going to cut off their nose to spite their face. I think Oracle has being very professional with regards to the products that it has acquired. They don't seem to be acquiring them with the intention of dropping them. They seem to be genuinely interested in market share and keeping customers happy. At least that's the way recent acquisitions have played out - like Siebel Analytics - aka OBI Enterprise Edition.

Oracle 10g - iSQL*Plus URL issue

I'm trying to run a sql script file via my browser and I'm receiving the following error message:
SP2-0920: HTTP error 'URL access is disabled in iSQL*Plus ' on attempt to open URL
In my HTML file, my SQL script is located on c:\demo\script.sql. In the A HREF portion of my HTML, I am not sure whether I am referencing my script.sql correctly. I'm wondering if this could be the cause of the error message.

Sorry it took so long but I finally had a chance to get back to this. This is what I did. My test.html file is located in the d:\sql directory but it could be located anywhere. It looks like this:

 Open and browse to the location on your hard drive where the test.html file is located and click on Open and then OK.
2. This should present you with a page that says
iSQLPlus Report
Run Employee Report
This comes from the formatting I used in my html file above.
3. Click on Run Employee Report
4. This will take you to the iSQL*Plus login page where you will be asked to enter a Username, Password and Connection Identifier. The username should be a user who has access to the HR schema and the connection identifier can simply be the name of your Oracle SID. If you have Oracle installed on your local machine, you can leave this field blank.
5. If everything is working, the script.sql will run and the next page will have the results of running the script which will be everything in the emp_details_view.

I got a new laptop which has Windows 7 Professional (64 bit). I intend to download Oracle 10g and would like to install bothe the database and the sql plus in this system.
I would appreciate if somebody could provide me a link to the appropriate database (with sql plus installation capability). Also if available the installation guide.

Windows 7 Professional (64 bit). I intend to download Oracle 10g and would like to install bothe the database and the sql plusOracle *10g* is not certified on Windows *7*, except with the latest patchset *10.2.0.5*, and its Premium Support ended on the *31st of July 2010*.
You should download Oracle *11.2* which is certified on Windows *7 - 64 bit*.

About SQLPlus, it's delivered with Oracle Server and, in *11g*, you can still use it from a DOS box. If you intend to have a Graphical Tool, you should use Oracle SQL Developer instead:

I guess you are talking about Windows. There's no longer GUI sqlplus , only command line sqlplus in a DOS box. GUI fans have to change to sqldeveloper.

Check that the ICX system profiles are set correctly for your Discoverer configuration. In particular the ICX: Discoverer Launcher and ICX: Discoverer Viewer Launcher system profiles.
When IE displays an error is the URL displayed in the browser a correct Disco URL?
