Oracle BI Publisher menu option is missing in Word

The Oracle BI Publisher menu option was there last night when I left the office. Came in today and started working on a report and now the menu option is gone.
I reinstall the desktop software but that did not help.
Any ideas?

Never mind, found a posting indicating that I needed to go to Tools -> Templates and Add-Ins in Word. The TemplateBuilder.dot was unchecked.

  • The File Menu options is missing in PSE v9?

I called support a year or more ago and they provided a fix.  This was after i first upgraded.  Now I have had to reinstall the OS on my PC and re-install PSE downloaded from site.
No File menu!  Can you Help?

Lots of information.  But it noe of it provided a solution to my problem.  In fact I had the problem of no File menu when I first bought PSE 9.
As a new customer for that version, I was eligble for support via a live person.
They gave me a fix and voila!  There was the file menue with about a dozen menu options including seach, get photos from camera, import, export, create new catalog, and more.
I did not forsee that my system would eventually crash and require a re-image.  And new install of PSE.  When I did so the file functionality was missing again but I did not save the instructions.  Been a little over a year.

  • Video menu option is missing from my iPod menu.

I purchased a 60gb photo ipod approximately two weeks before the video release. When the video release software was available I downloaded it and the "video" option appeared on my iPod menu. A few weeks later I ordered my first videos from Itunes. After downloading the videos and updating my iPod, I found the video menu option was gone from my iPod. I have reset my ipod, deleted and installed new software, used the updater and have never been able to get the "video" menu option to show up again on my iPod. I can view the video in itunes but I can't get it onto my iPod. I just downloaded the latest iPod and iTunes software today and still no luck. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, were you able to fix it? I love the iPod and would like it a lot more if the video function worked for me. Thx for the help.

  • BI Publisher Menu is not appearing in Word 2003

    Hello. I have a problem.
I need to install BI Publisher Desktop 11.x under a system with Windows 7 x64 and Office 2003. Installation is sucessful, and BI Publisher menu is appearing in Excel, but... not in Word!
I have tried everything, installed SP3 for Office and so on.
Under Windows XP with Office 2003 all works fine.
Under the first system BI Publisher Desktop 10.x works fine, but 11.x have that problem.
I don't know what to do, and need help.

    Hi,
    You can check as below:
Open MS word -> File -> Options -> Add-Ins -> BI Publisher Template Builder of Word
Check this option is in enable or disable mode. If disable/inactive - enable this.
Let me know worked or not.

  • Missing Menu Options in Flash Builder

I encountered a mystery surrounding several missing menu options in  one of my Flash Builder workspaces recently. I wanted to create a new  skin for a List control so I right-clicked on my skins folder and looked  for the New MXML Skin option. And I looked. And I looked some more. But  it wasn't there.
I happened to have another copy of Flash Builder open in another  workspace so I gave it a try in that project. Sure enough, the New MXML  Skin option was there along with a couple of other options that were  missing in the first workspace. Here's a list of the menu options  missing from the File --> New menu in this workspace:
    Flash Professional Project
    MXML Item Renderer
    MXML Skin
I'm not sure why those menu options went missing but I was able to  work around it by recreating the workspace. I simply created a new  workspace, copied all of the projects into the new workspace folder and  then imported all of my projects into the new folder. I then had a full  set of menu items.
I poked around a bit trying to figure out what went wrong but wasn't  able to find a conclusive answer. My best guess is that it has something  to do with the fact that I was previously running the Flex 4 beta and  that's when I created the workspace with the problem. I compared the  workspace .metadata folder and, curiously, there were 25 folders inside  the .plugins folder for the problem workspace but only 12 for the newly  created one.

This is an eclipse thingy, menus get cached in the workspace' metadata. If you try using a newer build of Flash Builder with a workspace from the previous version, you may notice this behavior.
The workaround is to create a new workspace and import all projects there.

  • File "Publish" menu still grayed out

I had IT install Tech Comm Suite 3.5 for me a month or so ago and am finally  experimenting with publishing docs to ePub format from Frame. However, my Publish menu option is still grayed out. Any ideas why? Could have the TCS been installed incorrectly?

No. It's my understanding that from Frame 10, using the Tech Comm Suite, I should be able to publish EPUB files straight from Frame without RH. Is this incorrect?

  • Where are all the CME menu options in CUE 8?

First time installing CUE 8.0.1 and it appears that the CME menu options are missing.  This means I'm unable to modify the extensions, phones, call transfer patterns, etc, from the CUE GUI.  I've searched through docs to see if something has changed with the new CUE 8 GUI changes but never found anything.  Am I missing some config or is this the new way of doing things for CME/CUE?
    Thanks,
    Dan

I am sorry to informyou that on CUE GUI 8.0x you don't have the phone and extensionoption any more by default.  This was design to work this way. If you need this option you can log in to the CME GUI or downgrade to CUE 7.1that still has this options on the GUI."

  • BI publisher Menu is missing in Microsoft word

    Hi !
I just installed the BI publisher desktop but I can't see it in the tab in the Microsoft word.
    My Word version 2010 (14.0.6112.5000 (32 bits))
    Windows 7 (64bits) SP1
    I have tried this:
"1.  Go to this folder:  Program Files (x86)\Oracle\BI Publisher\BI Publisher Desktop\DotNetInstallFiles
    2.  Double click the setup.exe file and follow the onscreen instructions"
and also I tried to check the checkbox in the Menu of ADD-ins  "BI Publisher Template Builder for Word" but the load of this COM has an execution error, but any additional information is given.
Any suggestions to fix it ?
    Thanks

After installing bi publisher, do the following:
    1.  Go to this folder:  Program Files (x86)\Oracle\BI Publisher\BI Publisher Desktop\DotNetInstallFiles
    2.  Double click the setup.exe file and follow the onscreen instructions
The bi publisher tab should appear in ms word 2013 after doing steps 1 and 2.

  • Design menu option missing

    i have two issues :
    1) i installed the 4.0.3.853 oracle sql developer data modeller but I dont see the "DESIGN" menu option ?
i am trying to convert a logical model to physical model .
    2) for identifying or non-identifying relationship its showing the same DDL ,  its not compounding the primary key of the child entity with the primary key for parent.
I am selecting identifying/non-identifying relationship by checking/unchecking "Source Optional" check box in "Relation Properties"
    thanks

It's all in the docs, but here's a starter:
To transform your logical data model to a relational (i.e., physical) data model, a.k.a. database design, click the double right-arrow (>>) in the icon tool bar (if you hover, it'll say "Engineer to Relational Model"). This will display a dialog where you select the logical objects you want to transform to physical. Be sure to set your physical preferences, otherwise the tables et al. will be named just like the logical, which is probably not what you want. For example, if you have an entity named Organization that you want physically named ORGNZT, then you need to indicate this in the entity properties General node "Preferred Abbreviation" as ORGNZT. There are other preferences to set (for example, subtyping presets).
The transform dialog (Engineer to Relational) is re-entrant. When you make changes to the logica after your initial transformation to physicall, you can re-transform your initial transformation, and it will update what needs to be updated in the physical.
I haven't yet figured out how to specify a relationship's corresponding foreign key contraint name (at the physical). For example, I want relationship "Format Code - Publication" to transform to a FK constraint named AMS_PBLCTN_FK01. I know very well how to do this with Oracle Designer, but OSDDM is a different beast I'm just starting to get comfortable with.
Keep in mind that at the logical level, you have an Entity-Relationship model and diagrams; at the physical level, you have a database design (or server model) and diagrams. Different purposes. Always try to drive your changes from logical to physical, otherwise you're just documenting after the fact.
    Have fun!

  • Missing Oracle.bi.publisher.ScheduleReport permission

I wanted to remove the ability for my BIConsumer role to schedule BI Publisher report jobs. I accomplished that by editing the BIConsumer Application Policy and removing the oracle.bi.publisher.scheduleReport resource name. Mission accomplished.
Now I want to add that permission (resource name) to my BIAuthor policy, and I can't. When I edit the BIAuthor Application Policy and attempt to add the bi.publisher.ScheduleReport resource name, it isn't in the list of permissions I can add. It's just gone. I see 7 permissions that start with oracle.bi.publisher. scheduleReport isn't one of them.
Working with Windows 32-bit version of 11.1.1.6.2 BP1.
    HELP!!

Excellent. Thanks for the links. I was able to manually modify the system.jazn-data.xml file and add back the missing piece. This still feels like a bug in the interface, almost like the "available permissions" list is generated from that xml file, so that once it's gone from all policies it's just GONE. It certainly doesn't appear that the list is coming from a central location.
In any event, full CORRECT points awarded, and thank you for the speedy reply yesterday.

  • Advanced Menu Option Missing

Adobe Acrobat X Pro was recently installed on my pc. I noticed some menu options are either missing or have moved and I can't find them. I am specifically looking for the Advanced menu option. I have searched Adobe Forums as well as the internet and haven't found a concrete answer.
Ultimately, I would like to create a date text field, using JavaScript, that will auto-display the current date. I technically know absolutely nothing about JavaScript but managed to find some information online. According to the Acrobat 6 Javascript Scripting Guide, the directions say to choose Advanced > JavaScript > Document JavaScripts to add a script. How do I do this in X?
    Thank you.

I don't see JavaScript under Tools. I've gone thru most of the options and can't find anything similar. I have attached an image of what I see.
