  • Oracle Management server is not started

    hey all,
i have installed oracle 8i on windows 2000 professional. i want to import some database. for that purpose when i want to login in oracle management server, and put login and password, it gives error "VTK-1000 unable to connect to Management Server galaxy.pk.oracle.com. i checked the status of the management server from control panel/services. it was manual. i started that but in the end it gave me error

  • Oracle BI server could not start

    Hi All,
when am trying to start oracle BI server .its thoughing below error
Error 1064:An eceception occurred in the service when handling the control request.

    Hi,
Earliear i have face the same issue,The repository was opened in online mode and became not consistent. After this I noticed that my Answers to this repository didn't executes. I tried to restart the Oracle BI Server service but it fails with 1064.
Solution for me was to remove a link to damaged repository from NQConfig.ini, restart the presentation server and correct inconsistencies in repository in offline mode.
if you did any changes in Scheduler also will get the same kind of error
then first check that the Scheduler has been properly configured to access the repository where it stores its data.
-->Open the “Job Manager” from the “Oracle Business Intelligence” menu and then navigate to “File => Configuration Options”. Make sure that all the following fields have valid values: “Database Type”, “Call Interface”, “Data Source Name”, “Username”, and “Password”. When the Scheduler attempts to start-up, it first verifies that it can connect to the repository, and if it cannot (because, for example, the “Data Source Name” does not refer to a valid entry in the “tnsnames.ora” file), then you’ll get the error message listed above. By way of confirmation, verify that you can connect to the repository using the configuration data by other means, such as by using SQL*Plus.
    Thanks

  • BPEL Server can not start after jazn default realm has been modified

    Hi, everyone:
In order to customize my user task assigneeGroup, I set up a new realm in the jazn-data.xml using the shell (java -jar jazn.jar -shell). I tried to modify the jazn.xml file in %OraBPELPM%\integration\orabpel\system\appserver\oc4j\j2ee\home\config, and set the default-realm attribute to my new realm.
After these modification, the BPEL Server can not start, the server seems to stop after loading the first two EJB.
Does anyone ever encounter this problem? Could anyone help me?

It appears that I had the wrong oracle home and as a result some of the steps were skipped by the Universal Installer during installation, but installation was still claimed as successful. Even by launching the 'Mobile Server Repository Wizard' manually by running 'repwizard.bat' did not provide all the necessary window boxes to provide the details such as the SID, hostname, port number. I re-installed.
After starting the back-end database and then starting mobile server and testing in IE to see if the server was working by typing in http://<host name>:80/webtogo, I got the screen displaying mobile server.
    Many thanks for your help.

The issue was with JMS modules. I missed to identify the subdeployments tab for UMSJMSSystemResource where we had two sub deployments as UMSJMSSubDMSOA and UMSJMSSubDMSOA_auto..
I've removed the second subdeployment and all resources listed against is by following this below path in Admin Console
click JMS Modules -> Click UMSJMSSystemResource -> Click the Subdeployments tab.
Ensure that UMSJMSSubDMSOA is the only subdeployment available. Remove others if listed and all dependant resources as applicable to your environment.
Go back to UMSJMSSystemResource and click Targets.
    Deselect BAM_Cluster as target.
    Click Save and Activate.
Upon subsequent restart, the Server came up nice and fine.

    SELECT CLASSID, STARTAPPSERVER FROM PSCLASSDEFN
WHERE CLASSID IN (SELECT OPRCLASS FROM PSOPRCLS WHERE OPRID='<OPRID>')
If above sql returns a row where STARTAPPSERVER=1, then the user <OPRID> can start the application server.
If not update a permission list <CLASSID> that is assigned to <OPRID> (result aboce sql), using below sql.
UPDATE PSCLASSDEFN SET STARTAPPSERVER=1 WHERE CLASSID='<CLASSID>'
