Oracle BI services problem when attempting to start

Hi All,
I installed OBIEE basic edition which have oc4j and after installation, i have restarted my windows machine and oc4j is getting started automatically. Here my problem is my Oracle BI java host services in windows is not getting started. It is giving me an error as follows:
could not start oracle BI Java host service on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
Google resulted me to no where on this particular error, and even i tried to start Oracle BI Server service and it is giving me same error. can somebody help me on this?

Hi rnm, I have this path "*C:\OracleBI\server\Bin*" in my environment and i also could able to find the same in the ImagePath variable where you told me to check and i could able to find out NQSServer.exe file.
Now, what am not able to find is the log files in "*C:\OracleBI\server\Log*" this path ie, there are no log files present in my 'log' directory.
One more imp thing is, as per Rittman, we will be having java host log files at "C:/ORACLEBIDATA/web/log/javahost/jhost0.log". But, i have only "*C:\OracleBIData\web*" this path, ie, there is no javehost dir* and further files!!. So, shall i suspect some issue with my installation?
I also searched for java host log file in my system, but, i could not find it. SO, basically what my presumption is that the log file is not been created when i try to ran Oracle BI Java Host service. SO,is my problem related to services? In otherwords, does this java host services has less time to execute successfully than required?? do i have to reinstall OBIEE itself?? please advise.

OMS 9.2.0 on HP-UX11i terminates to VXA-2019 when attempting to start

I've installed 9.2.0 on HP-UX 11i and created an instance using dbca taking the defaults. Next I created the OMS repository in this instance. There were no errors with either installation.
When I initially received the these errors (see "oms.nohup" log below) I created public rollback segments in a tablespace other than system after researching the errors in Metalink. But even after adding the rollback segments when I attempt to start OMS I continue to get the following in the "oms.nohup" log. Has anyone seen/solved this error before?

I am getting the same error on Sun OS 9.0 .
OMS was fine until this morning since I configured it two days ago. Now I cant get it to start because of
this error and dont know what to do. Still doing a research on it.

Help: IPOD service problem when installing in Vista

Message reads something like Ipod Service did not start make sure you have sufficient permissions. It then gives the option to retry or cancel. This happens at some point in the installation process.
I have among other things tried out all the steps outlined on the apple website, ensured I have admin access, created another admin account, msconfig, deleted completely all traces of Apple products even tried installing an earlier version all to no avail. I have contacted apple as well who though responsive were not much help either pointing me in the direction of well web links to manuals on the apple website. I also have SP1 installed. So My MS side of life is sorted.
I am fed up and might just have to return my IPOD touch if no joy. This is probably my last chance to make this work. Unfortunate that what is presumably a lovely piece of kit is a nightmare simply because I don't use an apple machine.
Alternatively can anyone suggest other ways to get this IPOD touch working other than Itunes. GGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRH

New developments:
1) At the point in the installation where it tries to start services, I get an error message saying that IPOD Service did not start. Ensure you have enough permissions.
2) I have done this using administrator account and even turned off Vista UAC all to no avail.
3) I have also uninstalled with Windows install clean up like for the 20th time.
4) Even when I do a clean uninstall and delete every trace of files and folders in other parts of the C:\ I stll find that IPOD service is listed and stopped. How is that possible?
5) Any time I attempt to start IPOD service in task manager I get an error message saying Windows could not start the IPOD Service on Local Computer Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.
6) There are only two options available when it stalls in no.4 above ie. either to retry or to cancel. When you cancel it rolls back the installation.
7) When I went to C:\Program Files folder there was no IPOD\bin folder and hence no IPOD Service folder.
8) Yesterday I decided to circumvent the installation procedure by opening folder rather than opening the file. I was able to save a few IPOD and ITunes files which would not have been possible if I had selected cancel because when rolling back it deletes most of the vital folders and files.
9) When I click on the Ipod service icon at this stage, nothing still happens. Also when I click on Itunes icon at this stage I get an error message saying some vital files are missing please reinstall.
Is there a registry hack to resolve this issue? I am convinced that it is the only way to get me out of the doldrums. I must also mention that I have Vista service pack 1 intalled.

I have a problem when in was trying to start the weblogic server from the
Weblogic Console.It Loads all the necessary files and finally it comes out
giving an error "Server start message not received in allotted time, server
process killed.".
But at the same time i can start the server cooly by running the
"Wlserver.exe".Can any help me on this problem

Hi!
I'm quite sure that this is a time out problem. I need about 3 minutes to start
up my weblogic server. It's no problem to start it from a command prompt
(startWeblogic.cmd), but using weblogic console application I always got a time
out after 120 seconds. On a faster computer, where the start up process can be
finished in less then 120 seconds it was no problem to start the server with the
same amount of EJBs.
Does anyone know how to increase the time out parameter for the weblogic console
application?

problem. I had to shut down my X Server; if you don't know what the XServer is,
it's (basically) the app that runs a window manager. It was consuming toomuch
of my processing time. WL is now the only thing running on that machine.
Since you have NT, You may want to try shutting down all uneccesarydevices and
app's.

Facing problem when trying to start the addon manually

Hi,
I have created an add-on using simple addon installer project. The prepared addon has been installed successfully. After installation, when trying to start the addon manually by Add-On Manager,
The addon exe is giving an error message at the line when try to instantiate the SboGuiApi.
"SAPbouiCOM.SboGuiApi SboGuiApi = new SAPbouiCOM.SboGuiApi();"
The error message is -
"Could not load file or assembly 'Interop.SAPbouiCOM, Version=6.8.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."
and finally it gives an error message "Add-On connection timed out".
Note: At the development end we have tested it on our two systems its working properly. But on the production system its giving the error
Please help!! its urgent...

What we have did at our end is -
Just removed the SAPbouiCOM.dll from the references and add it again.
"I am using SBO 2005A SP01 PL-31"

Problem when try to start SQL Developer

I have problem when I clicked to start the SQL Developer. It wants me to enter the full pathname for Java.exe. Could some one tell me what should I enter.

I checked and found that the SQL Developer I have use Java 1.6.0_11 which is same as you have mentioned. I have the path
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" in my machine. When I enter this path, there is a message say Cannot find J2SE SDK installed at path.
Does this mean that I need to install java 1.6.0_11 ?

Odd error message when attempting to start up iTunes

Whenever I attempt to start up iTunes it tells me
"The file "iTunes Library" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes."
It was working fine 30 minutes ago and I have the latest version installed. Can someone help me?

Oracle 10g (10.1.0.2) - Oracle CS Service and Database won't start up

Hello!
As I installed Oracle 10g (Version 10.1.0.2) I had to start "OracleCSService" which I tried, but it never finishes starting and "stays in the state of starting".
I'm working on the operation System Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition, 10.1.0.2
I don't know if it coheres, but I as well can't access my Database. Since I installed Oracle I haven't once been able to access.
Did anyone have the same problem and got a solution?

There's a known problem with 10g on non-english Windows versions , this is documented in metalink note
OracleCsService does not start
Note:276801.1
OracleCSService is only needed for RAC and ASM configurations, the simplest workaround is to set the service to MANUAL startup, what prevents the service from starting after a reboot.
As long as you use neither RAC nor ASM database creation is independent of this service and should work. To analyze the problem more details are needed, 'it does not work' is not enough.

Elements 13 crashing when attempting to start

Bought elements and downloaded. When I attempt to click either the organizer or photo editor option from the they both instantly crash. I have not been able to open the program at all. Attempted to run as admin with no luck. This is a fully authorized and activated copy I purchases from B&H photo and downloaded from their link and activated with adobe serial number.

I have uninstalled with Ccleaner and reinstalled and I'm still getting this error message. I have zero problems with any other program. It is installed on my new SSD. Fact, this is the first crash i have seen on this computer of anything. My specs are far above what I need but here is my comp just in case.
Windows 7 custom built PC, AMD fx 8320 3.5ghz, MSI gtx 970, 8gb kingston hyper x ram, Asrock 970 extreme 4 MOBO, Corsair 600 PSU, Intel 730 256gb ssd

After 7 days of begging and pleading with your company for someone to support the product I called back the retailer that I purchased the key from and asked them what to do. They told me that they would work through the technical issue with me if they could and if not refund me the purchase price because they STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. Funny concept, huh? When the rep was helping me he looked through your forums and was STUNNED at how many people needed help with issues and your staff and employees were nowhere to be found. We had a good chuckle over the ineptitude and heartless attitude it would take to screw that many people at once. They tried to help me, even though it was in NO WAY their responsibility to do so. We could not resolve the issue so they are issuing me a refund for your companies refusal to stand behind it's product, and leaving it's customers out in the cold with ZERO support. This was without question the worst experience I have ever had with any company, period. And I am forced to get my internet from Time Warner if that gives you any perspective. The lack of support Adobe offers people is borderline criminal. For those of you that the products work immediately they could could probably care less. But for the THOUSANDS on the forums currently that Adobe is leaving out in the cold and letting it's "community" deal with Adobe's problems, I wish you the best of luck. 5 different threads, 7 days of my life, multiple attempts to contact via phone and online chat only to be told "my question doesn't qualify for support". I have a degree in web development and I build custom Pc's on the side for fun, so I would hate to see how someone who isn't "tech savvy" would deal with this company. God forbid. Problem when I try starting IntegratedWebLogicServer

I installed the JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 and now I try to start the IntegratedWebLogicServer but I can't! The startup does not proceed. It stop at this part:

Oracle Report Font problem when run report from oracle EBS R12

Dear All
I have developed one Report in ORACLE REPORT BUILDER in windows environment. I see the output of that report, its ok, I deployed it on the EBS R12 which is on Linux environment, when i see the output, its fonts totally change and due to change in fonts, output not same as like in previous stage. When i print from dot matrix Printer then sometime its shrink the character and sometime break the output..
Kindly help me in this regard, because this problem i am facing from last few days.

I have changed the fonts in the report, but when i run it from the EBS its has the same problem. from the EBS output font look like as (COURIER) rather than CALIBRI WESTERN.

Problem when trying to start BEx Analyzer (7.0)

Hello - We have completed an upgrade of a sandbox to NetWeaver BI 7.0 (from BW 3.5) and we are getting ready to have users start to test to find functionality issues. When I start Business Explorer (7.0), it opens Excel (2003) with no problem and the menu appears and the icons appear to be active. However, when I mouse over any of the menu items, the text is in German, and if I click on any of them nothing happens. I have run the sapbexc710.xla spreadsheet and it comes up with some yellows (version on PC is higher than expected), but no reds.
Is there a known solution to this? This is the first time we have tried to run the 7.0 version of BEx Analyzer, but we have been using the 3.5 version for a couple of years.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Nokia 3110c problem when trying to start

Hello. I have a problem. I can't start my phone....more detailed, when I start it up, the screen remains white and the only thing that appears is the battery sign and after 3-4 white/black screens the phone stops. If i try again to start it, same thing happens. I heard that the memory card could be a problem but, even if I remove the card the problem remains.
Is there any solution to this?

Try flashing your phone. Sometimes a slightly corrupt firmware might compromise the performance of the phone as a whole. But there is also a possibility that it's a hardware problem.
And you could only do that by means of sending your phone to the Nokia Care Centre near you.
