Oracle_BIPublisher_11.1.1.3_Desktop

I am trying to install Oracle_BIPublisher_11.1.1.3_Desktop (BIPublisherDesktop.exe) silently (without User prompts) not able to.
Is there any switches available to install this package silently. So I can install this package remotely on users machine without getting a prompt to proceed.

Why would you want to know the minimum requirements, surely it would be best to have optimal server specs, the nearest you are going to get is contained in the standard deployment guide - About Standard Deployment
Saying that it is not possibly to provide stats based on nothing, you would really need to undertake a technical design review/workshop as there many topics to cover before coming up with server information.

    Recently i installed BIPublisher_11.1.1.3_Desktop.I created a layout using Microsoft Office2007. The XML Query loads successfully, even previewing the layout shows the data. However when i attach this layout with a query in apex(apex4.0), it gives an error that "Adobe Reader could not open this file. it is either not supported or it is damaged........". The blank layout(having no xml data...only word table for example) displays fine..
    The BI Server runs.Other reports (layout created with a previous version of BI Desktop) runs fine.
    What can be the problem.

    I am not sure this is a bug. Such mandatory checks will often only apply to administrative changes from the GUI. You may not always be able to enforce the same quality of data in reconciled data as you wish to impose for changes made through OIM, and it may prove an issue in some cases if such users could not be reconciled. In this case the use will go into OIM, but you will be forced to populate a value in the mandatory field if you later try to update them in OIM.

  • Cannot Open BI Publisher Field Properties

    Hello Everyone,
    I am new to using BI publisher and developing RTF reports. I have successfully installed BIPublisher_11.1.1.3_Desktop in my computer. And i get BI publisher as a addin in my Microsoft Word 2007 installed in my Windows 7 - 32bit operating system.
    So i created a simple report loaded the XML data and previewed it without a problem.
    But my problem is whenever i double click on a field in the report or right click > BI Pulisher > Properties, before loading the XML data i could get the properties popup fine but after loading the XML data it shows "Starting .Net runtime...." and then it vanishes without the properties pop up.
    I have .Net Framework 2.0 installed by default, i reinstalled BI Publisher and tried still the same. I updated .Net framework version to 4 but still the same. Is it a known issue? or is there a work around. And also to add the same XML data works fine with other computers with the same configuration. Please help me out with this.

    can u uninstall this and install 11.1.1.5 desktop plugin and when the installation is complete it will automatically opens an bi publisher tutorial word document wait until u see that.

    I have downloaded BIPublisher_11.1.1.3_Desktop and want to install it on my machine (windows 32bit).
    in the tutorial, it is sad that before installing BI Publisher I have to execute the Repository Creation Utility ( RCU) scripts in Oracle Database 11g.
    I have an Oracle 11g XE installed on my machine in C:\oraclexe, and it is started.
    I have downloaded ofm_rcu_win32_11.1.1.3.3_disk1_1of1 package and started it.
    I have a problem on a step 2 - Database connection. I get an error - Invalid service name.
    Where do I get the Service name, please!?

    Next problem:
    in the tutorial, which I'm trying to run, it says:
    Enter the URL for BI Publisher in the browser window, which is of the format-
    http://<hostname>: <port >/xmlpserver/. For example- http:/localhost:9704/xmlpserver/
    I have installed BIPublisher_11.1.1.3_Desktop
    I am entering:
    http:/127.0.0.1:9704/xmlpserver/
    and getting an error - Could not connect to...
    The question is - How do you access BI Publisher interface?
    Did I installed the correct version at all??
