I am human task forms which are using the ADF data controls for workflow and am getting the following error:-
Caused By: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.bpel.services.datacontrol.types.Number
The human task forms are taskflow components of a soa composite containing a bpmn component which stitches these taskflows into an Activity Guide.
Any help will be appreciated

Hi Manish,
It seems that you are using a custom security provider and the weblogic server is not able to find the class / jar file that contains the class.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Failed to load class com.msl.security.providers.SessionPrincipal]
Make sure you have all the required jar files in the server classpath.
You can use the JarScan utility to find the jar that contains the class.

Jdeveloper deploying error: oracle.bpel.services.datacontrol.types.Number

I have migrated a BPEL process from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.1.5. When deploying my migrated BPEL process from JDEVELOPER I get the following error:

Oracle.bpel.services.datacontrol.data.DataCollection error in BPM work-list

Hi,
I am working with Human task form. I Have created one form using create auto-generate option from task options. The form is fetching and displaying data properly in BPM work-list, but when i click on approve/reject button in form, it gives the error oracle.bpel.services.datacontrol.data.DataCollection error . Not sure, from where this error is coming.
Please reply if anyone is having idea why this error is coming. I am working with Jdev 11.1.1.5 and SOA suite 11g and this project is part of new development. ( no migration issue, i guess)

This service is invoked by jaxws client after setting the required input message.
The problem is during the consumption of the xml message within the payload tag.
I use something like this in my bpel assign :
                <from expression="ora:getContentAsString(bpws:getVariableData('inputVariable','payload','/input/payload/*'))"/>
                <to variable="inputMsg"/>
But instead of the xml payload I see a nodelist like this : oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLNodeList@3440cbfe
Any pointers are appreciated.

Distributing Oracle Web Services Proxy client?

Hi,
We built a web services client using Web Services Proxy tool in JDeveloper. We want to distribute it as a stand-alone application to our clients.
1. How can we determine the minimal set of JAR libraries required for the application to run?
2. Are there any licensing issues?

If you are not using any ADF libraries there is no licensing concerns.

Oracle BPEL Worklist application on Tomcat

Can the default BPEL worklist application be deployed to Tomcat? Has anyone tried that or instructions listed out some where?
We would like to deploy the web tier deployed to a seperate Tomcat box (web tier includes a web application developed, oracle bpel worklist application)

Thank you. I am not sure how to have wf_config_client.xml correctly defined and deployed. Can this be elaborated a little more please?
I tried to deploy the worklist application supplied in the samples. I ran into a lot of exceptions and continued to add the runtime libraries as needed. I followed some of the applicable instructions under 16.5.1.5 of BPEL Developer's guide as well.
I can see the login page of the worklist after this struggle, but when I try to login it comes back to the same page. I see a exceptions thrown on the tomcat console.
I think main errors that catch my attention are:
1. Invalid configuration file wf_config.xml ORABPEL-30028
2. Error in invoking user metadata service ORABPEL-30720
I really appreciate any help to go forward.

Error message when listing activities with Oracle BPEL Control and Java API

I'm implementing some BPEL processes in an Oracle Application server 10.1.3.3 environment.
I use the Oracle BPEL Process Manager Client Java API to access some BPEL instances but when I want to list their activities with IInstanceHandle.listActivities() (I've tested the IInstanceHandle and it contains an open process instance) I receive the following error message:
"Activity error:ORABPEL-04003 Cannot find work items. An attempt to fetch the work items using the where condition "cikey = ? AND ( wi_state = 1 OR wi_state = 2 OR wi_state = 3 ) " from the datastore has failed. The exception reported is: [ODBC S1002] invalid column number Please check that the machine hosting the datasource is physically connected to the network. Otherwise, check that the datasource connection parameters (user/password) is currently valid. sql statement: SELECT * FROM admin_list_wi WHERE ci_domain_ref = 0 AND cikey = ? AND ( wi_state = 1 OR wi_state = 2 OR wi_state = 3 )"
When I try to use the BPEL control to list the activities I also receive an error, which I think is related:

Has anyone found a solution to this error? There are a couple of developers in our team that has the same problem and also have a similar problem when trying to purge instances from the BPEL control. The problem started when we patched to 10.1.3.3.

When you upgraded to 10.1.3.3 did you run the SQL scripts that modified the SOA suite schemas?

ORacle BPEL WorkFlow SErvices

Hi,
I am currently trying to develop a workflow using Oracle BPEL Workflow Services. The process has a list of approvers and they are not part of any identity services be it jazn,oID or third party LDAP. I need to assign a task to each of the approvers sequentially.
I am trying to use TaskServiceInterface.wsdl to initiate the task and then receive the response and based on that use the taskrouting webservice and continue with the process.
However the users cannot be authenticated because of the reason mentioned in the first paragraph. Is it possible to create a workflow context without using login credentials?

I have created a custom authentication class which will authorise everyone. I followed the following steps.
1) Created the class that implements BPMAuthenticationService.
2) made necessary changes in the authenticateUser().
3) Created a jar out of the class file and deployed it to "C:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_2\bpel\system\services\lib" [my installation is in C]
4) added an entry in the server.xml to point to this library location
5) changed the is_config file to the following

I'm new to Oracle Collaboration Suite and BPEL. I'm starting to work with this technologies.
My goal is to develop some custom human workflow using Oracle Content Services 10.1.2.3.0 and BPEL.
Regarding software versions, some doubts arise ... I'm using Collaboration Suite 10.1.2.
- Which version of SOA Suite (10.1.2 or 10.1.3.1) and BPEL are recomended to work with content services 10.1.2.3.0 ?

Thanks for the reply since I am quite new to BPEl can you elaborate a bit on this .
What I did was
1. I created a Async BPEL process in JDeveloper and in the same project I put my servlet code and html part when I deploy it on the server and ascess it the welcome jsp is displayed when I click submit on wecome.jsp it forwards to servlet and there the error originates .
2 If instead I deploy the BPEl process seperately and the try to access the BPEL process using my JDeveloper java code I don't get any error it works fine.
3 I have included config and schema folders in source path . wf_client_config.xml,user-properties.xml and wf-config.xml is also present in the source folder.
4 Along with this the jars needed have been also added.
So when I deploy the BPEL process created in 1 above from Jdeveloper it creates a .ear in j2ee\home\applications and the deploys it .This .ear doesn't has any .class files .
I take bpelclasses.jar from the .jar which is created when I compile the project and put it in the j2ee\home\applib folder and made an entry for it in the server.xml file.After this it is able to get .class files.
If there is any alternate way to do the same thing kindly tell me .
