  • Oracle BPM 11g

    Hi All,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11g Rel 1. (11.1.1.6.0) with BPM Studio for Implementing Sales Application.
    1) Application File = SalesQuoteLab.jws.
    2) Project File = QuoteProcessLab.jpr
    3) Process File = RequestQuoteLab.bpmn
    I have completed the All the Roles (Sales Rep, Approvers and Contracts) with complete flow.
    In the Business Practices Role (Swim Lane -
    a) I created a Exclusive Gateway Named as (Is Business Practices Review Required ?)
    b) which has sequence flow (Yes) to Human Task Named (Business Practices Review)
    c) I created a new Exclusive Gateway named as (Business Practices Outcome) This Gateway has
    i) Outgoing condition flow (Business Practices Rejected) to Human Task (Enter Quote Details) in Sales Rep. Role.
    ii) Outgoing Unconditional flow (Business Practices Approved) to Parallel Gateway (Approvals ) in Approvers Role.
    Here the Point is :
    When I am Trying to do this step
    "Drag the outgoing sequence flow from Business Practices Review to Business
    Practices Outcome gateway" (Exclusive Gateway)
    I am not able to draw the outgoing sequence flow from Human Task (Business Practices Review) to Business
    Practices Outcome gateway. It denies even when I am clicking the Artifacts --> Sequence Flow Icon from Component Pallete
    or from the tool bars icons - Artifacts --> Sequence Flow.
    Due to this in my second Phase of Simulation Activity, (have completed all the simulation pre-requisites) When I start the Simulation I am getting the following error.
    "Node 'Business Practices Review' does not have any incoming Sequence Flows"
    Please correct me how do I do this step.
    "Drag the outgoing sequence flow from Business Practices Review to Business
    Practices Outcome gateway" (Exclusive Gateway)
    For this I have referred many guides and Tutorial, but none could provide the solution.
    Please response ASAP, awaiting your timely and valuable solution. to the post or to my id : [email protected]

    For the Oracle BPM 11g documentation go to http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/soa.htm for the documentation (look at the "Oracle Business Process Management Suite" section).
    10g and 11g Oracle BPM are vastly different. A couple key differences:
    - 10g runs on Ecllipse and 11g runs on JDeveloper
    - 11g has full access to the SOA Suite adapters natively using SCA

  • The "Not" expression bug of Oracle BPM Studio 10.3.0.0.0

    I'm new user of BPM. And I took part in the training cause in Oct 9th-10th in Guangzhou Oracle. I found a potential bug when I practise the tutorial in Oracle BPM(BEA) Studio 10.3.0.0.0.
    Because the Comfirm Report activity in the tutorial can't go next when the treasurer role check all the items in the expense report.
    In the tutorial provided by Oracle BPM Studio.
    the "not" expression can't be evaluated. e.g.
    {color:#333399}<strong>if not item.receiptChecked then ...</strong>{color}
    But I use ==false clause, it works correctly:
    {color:#333399}<strong>if item.receiptChecked == false then ....</strong>{color}
    The code is from {color:#808000}"Oracle BPM Basic Tutorial &gt; Activity 4: Adding Alternative Paths &gt; Adding the Not Confirmed Transition"{color}
    {color:#333399}<strong>for each item in items do</strong>
    <strong>if not item.receiptChecked then</strong>
    <strong>return false</strong>
    <strong>end</strong>
    <strong>end</strong>{color}

  • Learning Oracle BPM v10.3

    Hello Experts,
    Our client owns a bunch of Oracle tools. My next requirement in this project is to LEARN then CREATE a BPM project using Oracle BPM v10.3.
    So far I have found only 1 tutorial and NOT the greatest documentation/training matetrial on Oracle BPM v10.3.
    What would you guys suggest as a way to learn Oracle BPM v10.3?
    FYI - We are using Oracle BPM v10.3 so not interested in BPM 11g.
    Your help really appreciated if any of you can share some kind of training docs with me.
    Thanks in advanced for any responses!

    Here's a step-by-step on how to consume and invoke a web service from Oracle BPM:
    Consuming web services in Studio requires only a WSDL file or URL and Studio then generates all of the appropriate external resources to access it within the PBL.
    1. Access http://www.xmethods.net in your web browser.
    2. Click Full List.
    3. Search for getRandomBushism and click on it.
    4. Select and copy the string http://greg.froh.ca/fun/random_bushism/soap/?wsdl to the clipboard
    5. Create a new module in the Catalog called “WebSvcs” (open the “Project” flap ->expand the Catalog -> right mouse click “Calalog” ->click “New Module” -> name the new module “WebSvcs”).
    6. Right-click the WebSvcs module and select Catalogue Component -> Web Service.
    7. Paste the URL saved previously in the clipboard to the WSDL Address field.
    8. Click the Next button. Studio will then introspect the WSDL file across the Internet and load the appropriate definitions into the Catalog and External Resources.
    9. In Studio, open a process and create an interactive activity named “Get Thought For The Day” in any of roles.
    10. Open the method for the activity (double click it) and drag the getRandomBushism( ) method you just exposed from the catalog to the PBL to invoke the service.
    11. Modify the logic slightly so it looks like the logic shown below.
    randomBushism as WebSvcs.Wsdl.RandomBushism = WebSvcs.Wsdl.RandomBushism()
    getRandomBushism(RandomBushismService, out result : randomBushism)
    // this display statement should not be used in production
    //   - it's used here just to show you the result in the easiest way
    display randomBushism.bushism12. Right mouse click anywhere in the white space of the logic and click Run This. You should see the result of your call to the web service returned.

  • Future of Oracle BPM 10g

    Hi Friends,   I have been working on Oracle BPM 10g past 6 months, but really not sure whether to continue using this tool as its going to be obsolete soon. Guess most of the client are using Oracle BPM 11g and some even migrating to Oracle 12c. What's the future for Oracle BPM 10g with the respect to BPM market in the future. Are there any projects/clients which are still using Oracle BPM 10g. How easy/difficult is to move from BPM 10g to BPM 11g. I have around 6 years of experience and worked on Savvion Business Manager earlier.  Please help with your valuable suggestions. Regards.

    Support for Oracle BPM 10g has been extended.   Look at Oracle's Lifetime Support Policy document for Fusion Middleware (page 40).  Note that support for Oracle BPM 10g has been extended to December 2018.
    With that said, if a company was to start an Oracle BPM project today, I'd suggest that they do it using Oracle BPM 11g.  Your upgrade path to 12c will be much simpler using 11g and there aren't many of us left who know and can train people getting started on Oracle BPM 10g.

  • Problems to invoke a secure Web service from Oracle BPM Studio 10.3

    Hi all
    I'm trying to consume a web service through HTTPS protoloco Oracle BPM Studio v10.3, but I get the following error: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target.
    Some help!!
    Thanks

    Without going into any technical discussion about the code, my first question is what JDK version was used to create this which was imported into the form? Understand that Forms 10 runs on JDK 1.4.2, so if you used any newer JDK version, likely there will be problems.

  • To launch Oracle BPM deployed Web Services [In BPM Enterprise]

    Hi all,
    I have expose my Process Instance into Web Services in Studio.
    It is working well. In Studio, I start the Engine (Run -> Start Engine),
    Then, I Start the Web Services (Run -> Launch deployed Web Services webapps).
    It would show me my local webservice links.
    http://localhost:9000/albpmServices/<ProjectName>/ws
    But, I unable to launch this Web Service Webapps, when i deploy the project into Oracle BPM Enterprise with Weblogic Server.
    May know what is the link for BPM Enterprise?
    Regards,
    Chris

    My URL is:-
    http://localhost:9000/albpmServices/TestProject/ws/TestProcessServiceListener?wsdl=true
    and it does not seem to open the WSDL when I start the enterprise server engine..
    I have the process exposed as a web-service with two methods..
    One for Process Creation and another for Notification Wait Activity...
    I have also checked the box to start PAPI WS Services on my standalone server
    Is there some other config that I need to make inside my standalone server to get this WSDL?
    I understand that standalone works on Tomcat...

    Is there any way that I can increase the heap size of the Configuration Wizard? If not, is there any solution to this problem?

    Hi,
    It seems to be a Weblogic OOM (OutOfMemory).
    Why don't you try increasing the weblogic memory (you have to modify your domain scripts)
    I guess that after increasing your WLS domain memory settings you will be able to configure it using the config wizard.
    Hope this helps,
    Ariel

  • Oracle BPM Studio with JDK 1.6

    Hi,
    regarding to the the release notes of the Oracle BPM 10.3.1 (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/relnotes/release_notes_OracleBPM10gR3.htm) the studio runs now with a JVM 1.6. But after I installed it seems to me that it is still 1.5 (if you look in Help/About Oracle BPM Studio/Configuration Details). Can I simply exchange the underlying JDK oder would there be any problems?
    Kind regards
    Matthias

    you can.
    See the changing your JVM section for Studio at the following pages for instructions on what to do http://download-llnw.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/installguide/index.html
    Thanks,

  • Calling Oracle BPM Process Web Service from Oracle Service Bus

    Hi
    I am using Oracle Service Bus 10gR3.
    I have developed simple BPM process through Oracle BPM studio 10.3.1.0.I then followed steps below
    1. Create a Process.
    2. Expose the Process as a Web Service.
    3. Run the project. This starts the Process Execution Engine.
    4. Create an ALSB External Resource of type Management Host.
    5. Create a second ALSB External Resource for registration.
    6. Register the End Point
    Until this point everything is fine. Then I created one project through Oracle Service Bus console. Under that created WSDL, Proxy Service and Business Service Folders. I am using the web service created through BPM studio as teh Business Service in SB . I then created one proxy service to route the request to the Business Service.
    Finally when I try to test the Proxy Service by launching test console, I get the
    <con:fault xmlns:con="http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/context">
    <con:errorCode>BEA-380001</con:errorCode>
    <con:reason>INTERNAL SERVER ERROR</con:reason>
    <con:location>
    <con:node>RouteNode1</con:node>
    <con:path>response-pipeline</con:path>
    </con:location>
    </con:fault>
    I also tried to debug through "Oracle Workshop for WebLogic Version 10.3 " . But I am not getting enough details as to why this is failing.
    Please help me . Thanks In advance.
    Thanks
    Nilay

  • How to read Extended user property in oracle BPM?

    Hi,
    I have tried using the XPATH expression in Data Association to read an Extended User Property defined in Oracle BPM Workspace. Actually I'm using Active Directory for authentication, and as there is limitations for modifying existing AD to accommodate custom fields required for BPM Processes, I created an Extended User  Property called Department Code and mapped it for all users who should be participating in the process. Now I want to read this Department Code and display in ADF Form (Human Task Form).
    I tried something like this using XPATH Expr. in Data Association for Human Task :
    ids:getUserProperty(bpmn:getProcessInstanceAttribute('creator'), 'departmentCode')
    But it appears that using Identity Function exposed for Xpath we can only read some pre-defined set of properties associated with internal LDAP for weblogic. So please suggest what is the approach one should follow in order to read Extended User Properties defined in Oracle BPM Workspace.
    I'm using Oracle SOA 12.1.3 and JDeveloper 11.1.17 deployed on Windows 7
