Oracle Business Intelligence 11.1.1.7 installation - Creating Domain error

Hi,
I am trying to install OBI 11.1.1.7. I already have OBI 10g installed in my machine. I have taken care of the following things like
1) Configuring the Microsoft LoopBack Adapter
2) Configuring Static IP
3) Installing RCU
4) JDK1.7
I have tried to use the Enterprise Install. The installation completes, however, when it proceeds to Configuration Progress stage, it hangs for quite a long time and then errors out in the Creating Domain step.
I checked the install logs and found that during the Configuration process, it is unable to create the 'nodemanager.properties' file; hence unable to find it for further steps and errors out. Part of the install log is as below:

I copied below 2 dll, created loopback adapter with static IP, configured right TEMP, TMP, JDK, JAVA Home etc but still getting the same error message,

Do you have any other thoughts? Tried 64bit_11.1.1.6.0 as well. My system configuration is 4GB, intel core i3 processor, 64 bit, windows 7 home premium.
Any assistance from you would be more appreciated. Thanks.

I have installed OBIEE on linux without any troubles. You must use the supported java versions SUN JDK 1.5 ....
Download it, install it and you will see it will work.
PS My install is CentOS based, and I deployed in iAS 10g.

I'm trying to Install Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11.5 on Centos 6.3 x64 and it is failing at Creating ASInstance.

Oracle Business Intelligence

Dear All...
I am very new in oracle discoverer. I am thinking about using Oracle Business Intelligence 10.1.3.4.1 with my oracle database.
I have some queries..
1) Does Oracle Business Intelligence 10.1.3.4.1 works with out Oracle Apps ? (I am installing Oracle Discoverer to use with my own oracle database)
2) I installed Oracle Business Intelligence 10.1.3.4.1 But after installing I didnt find any menus related to this
I found only "Oracle Business Intelligense ODBC Client". Infact I check the same main menu while installation was going on. There were some menus appeared that time, but got disappeared after finishing installation.

Hi
As already mentioned by Sharon, there are no Discoverer components within the 10.1.3.4 application server.
There are 3 application server supported options at this time. These are:
1. Discoverer 10.1.2.2 with cumulative patch 8
2. Discoverer 10.1.2.3 with cumulative patch 6
3. Discoverer 11g
From where you are on 10.1.2.1 - this is really 10.1.2.2. I would upgrade to 10.1.2.3 and apply the most recent cumulative patch for that version which is number 6. You'll find help regarding this on my blog here: http://learndiscoverer.blogspot.com/2008/04/most-useful-patch-numbers.html
If you want to go to 11g you will need to do a clean install of the 11g application server and then point it at the same EUL you are using for 10.1.2.1. There is no difference in the EUL between 10.1.2, 10.1.3 and 11g.

Oracle Business Intelligence Standard Edition 1 download?

Hi,
Apologies in advance if this is a daft question but could someone point me in the direction of the download link for Oracle Business Intelligence Standard Edition 1 11G for Windows 64bit?
The white paper below dated 2010 eludes to there being an 11g version of this software but the download site only has 10g:

I downloaded the Enterprise edition 11g in the vain hope that the installer would have an option for installing standard edition 1, which it didn't.

Am I correct in saying that the Simple Install is Standard Edition 1? It doesn't say that anywhere (unless I'm missing it).Simple install is like a standard installation, less input is required from you.

Installing Oracle Business Intelligence Client on Windows 7

Hi!
I have configured Oracle BI server in RedHat 5.5 64 bit with Oracle Database 11g running on it. Now i would like to configure Oracle BI client tools on my users. The users are working on a windows 7 32 but edition. does anyone here what are the prerequisites in doing this using Oracle Business Intelligence 11g Installer in the client (users) side? Do i just run the windows client installer? what are the things I need to do?

Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite

Hi All,
We recently purchase Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite, but when I go into eDelivery, there is no such download, could you guide me on what I need to download? Do I need to download EPM, then OBIEE? Thanks

It can also depend what and how you are going to use the EPM products as depending on your requirements there is also a version of the essbase suite available with OBIEE
If you don't want the bundled suite which is probably for the best then to install them separately then you only have to go to one place in edelivery
In edelivery select Oracle Business Intelligence 11g then the OS and both the OBIEE and EPM installation files are there so need to go to separate download sections.
If you click the readme button it will display the files for the foundation suite

I will post my error logo as soon as I get it, so I will tell you something more about this error.
I follow the readme file (pre installation, and other), so everything is like in readme file, but install_rel.bat file that calls and executes scripts have inside itself hardcoding bi_home/bin directory in which must exist sqlplus.
Do I need to change those scripts manually?
It is more simple for me to define EUL with Discoverer Administrator, and before it define a BI_USER and grant SH user table access to him.

Issue in ATG integration with Oracle Business Intelligence

I am using CRS application to populate data to Data warehouse schema. I can see all components like generating log files, loading log file in to database are working file. I can see data in DW schema. I am using completely ATG's default implementation; I have not made any customization so far.

1.) DW schema in Oracle (‘Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production’).
2.) This is for every ATG's analysis. I have not authored anything custom.
I am sure connection information is correct in ATG.RPD file. I used to get different error like incorrect login or unable to connect if it was wrong and those are no more, So I
believe connection URL is correct. I am not sure if need disable/enable something or do some specific configuration in DB connection in ATG.RPD.

E-Business Suite Integration with Oracle Business Intelligence

Hi,
To integrate E-Business Suite with Oracle Business Intelligence I have done all the configurations as specified in DocId. *552735.1* of Metalink. I have tested the configurations by logging in from EBS and navigating to OBIEE Presentation Services. I'm able to navigate with no errors but not able to view Subject Areas in the Answers link. I'm testing this with 'Administrator' user. When I directly login to Presentation Serivices with the Administrator user I'm able to see the Subject Areas.
Can anyone have idea what is the problem?

Think I spotted the problem - probably specific to OBIA 7.9.5.
There is no "Authorization" initialization block: in previous incarnations (e.g. OBIA 7.9.4 and earlier I guess) there was a FndGetResp intialization block that assigned a value to the OBIEE "GROUP" system variable.
So I did the following and now I'm getting Subject Areas and Answers answers, but Dashboards still not working for me - maybe another issue.
1. Create system variable GROUP, temporarily with initialization block "Authentication"
2. Create initialization block "EBS Responsibility to Group" with query (note I've modified based on new session variable name RESP_ID goes to OLTP_EBS_RESP_ID in 7.9.5):
SELECT RESPONSIBILITY_KEY
FROM FND_RESPONSIBILITY
WHERE RESPONSIBILITY_ID = 'valueof(NQ_SESSION.OLTP_EBS_RESP_ID)'
Set the execution precendence to include EBS Security Context and EBS Single Sign-On Integration
NB: Had to create dummy variable GROUP_TMP for the "OK" button to come up, will replace that with real GROUP in next steps
3. Go back and edit System variable GROUP and change initialization block to EBS Responsibility to Group
4. Go back and edit initialization block EBS Responsibility to Group and remove variable GROUP_TMP
5. Created an OBIEE Group with name = responsibility key e.g. for my "SBA Administrator" responsibility, key = "SBA_ADMIN_KEY", so I created group named "SBA_ADMIN_KEY"
6. Made your new group (e.g. SBA_ADMIN_KEY) a member of the Administrators Group
7. Copy across rpd and restart sa / saw
Still awaiting response from Oracle Support ... so no guarantees this is correct and no guarantees that it won't break something else that Oracle suggests later!

I just download and tried.
in sqlplus I conn to user/pass@sid it work.
but when I new query in Oracle BI it not work and show message like this

but with same database I user different user it work,
