Oracle Client 9.2.0.7 - from where ?

Hi,
Where can i find Oracle Client 9i ver. 9.2.0.7 for download ?
I can't find it on OTN Database Download page for 9i (there is a 9.2.0.1 Client software only).
Maybe should i download Client ver 9.2.0.1 and upgrade it ... but, here is next question - where can i find patches to upgrade client software only ?
Please help
Regards
koli

Do you mean "9.2.0.7 PATCH SET FOR ORACLE DATABASE SERVER" ?
Is it a patch for standalone client software too ?
I didn't found on metalink patches dedicated for client software ...

  • Oracle client: allow forms execution?

    Hi again (what an afternoon!),
    Here is the new doubt:
I have a PC in which I've just installed Oracle client 9.2.0.1
I've installed only runtime mode because that pc is going to be a "typical PC client"... where the user is going to have only the executables files of my application.
The problem is that I don't find the ifrun60.exe or equivalent.. I mean.. I'm trying to execute an fmx... an associate it to the .exe (ifrun60.exe I think, because forms are made with forms 6i) an.. it doen's exists...
Is it included in the Oracle client runtime? If not.. where is it?
    Thanks...

I was reading lots of post and I've seen this two from 2001 related to Forms 5, I suposse they'r eapplicable to Forms 6i?
Forms Client Runtime : where are you ?
    Enviado: 27-sep-2001 15:34 Responder
Which version can I install as a pure client version of Forms 6i on a light desktop ? Is there a Forms client runtime like there was with the versions 5.0 and earlier, which we could use just to run a Form, without using any web server, Forms werver, nor using the extra/inter/intra-net ?
    Thanx for your help !!
    Eric.
re:Forms Client Runtime : where are you ?
Enviado: 27-sep-2001 17:58 en respuesta a: eheede Responder
Yes there is. Just choose Form/Report Server installation and choose customs. There you can choose Form or report runtime only (under Forms and Reports tree node) and click on install!
Remember to choose customs install so that oracle installer bring you the list of the component.
Do you agree? Could it be just begin the Forms&reports installation and after that.. Chosoe custom.. an choose to install runtimes?
(I'll try tomorrow and I will say the result here) I hope it works!!
    Thanks

  • Any compatibility issues for Oracle Client 10.2.0.4.0 and Snow Leopard?

Now that Snow Leopard is out and in fact in my hands, are there any known compatibility issues relative to the Oracle client software that is available from:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/oracle10g/htdocs/10204macsoft.html
    Thanks.
BTW, it might be worthwhile to know about the following web site:
    http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/
and for someone from Oracle to post an appropriate listing there as that site is becoming known as a central resource for such queries.
    Marc

    Guys,
I appreciate all of your replies, but:
    1. Just to be clear, I am talking about running the CLIENT (SQL*Plus) on Snow Leopard, which will connect to Oracle 11g, which is running on RHEL 5. I don't care in the least as to whether or not Oracle 11g will run on Snow Leopard. Today, I run the CLIENT on Leopard from the CLI and can connect to 11g on RHEL 5 just fine. I use the Actual Technologies ODBC driver (http://www.actualtechnologies.com/product_oracle.php) for queries in other applications and I have a similar query regarding Snow Leopard compatibility into them.
    2. @damorgan: Are you telling me that the client software that I can download from Oracle here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/oracle10g/htdocs/10204macsoft.html
was written by Oracle and certified by Apple to run on Leopard (10.5)? I am curious, because today, it was Microsoft and not Apple that put forth the statement that Office 2008 is fine on Snow Leopard:
    http://www.officeformac.com/blog/Ready-for-Snow-Leopard
Are you suggesting, as a parallel, that Apple did the certification of Office 2008 for Snow Leopard, not Microsoft? Or that Apple and not Cisco, will certify that Cisco's VPN client will work on Snow Leopard?
    Thanks,
    Marc

  • Which oracle client for aix 6 xi31 sp3?

I need oracle client 10.2 for a installation of xi31 sp3 on aix 6 with an oracle 11g db in order for ldap to work properly.
My apologies for my lack of DB (oracle) experience,  however, can someone please tell me which file I need for this and the associated link to download it?

    Hi,
Please explain in more details what do you mean "which files"?
If you mean getting the physical files, then :
To download BOE XI 3.1 with SP3, you need to log onto the SAP Support Portal (aka: Service Market Place) - http://service.sap.com/
The Oracle D/B and the Oracle client will need to come from Oracle website. You will need to check with Oracle to see how you can get your hands on the files.
As for AIX 6.1, I assumed that should already been setup since you quoted that in your last note.

  • Can i install Oracle client with diferent version than database server?

    Hi,
I need to install in two PC client 11g R2 version client. One of my database version is 10g R2 and the other is 9i. Can i install in my PC client a Oracle client version different to my database servers (or i need to install exactly de same version)? I need buy any aditional license?
    Many thanks in advance.

In general you can install an Oracle client version that is different from Oracle database server. However you should take care of client/server support status on My Oracle Support site: see Client / Server / Interoperability Support Matrix For Different Oracle Versions [ID 207303.1].

  • From where I can download Oracle Client 11g R2 for Windows 7 64bit? Thanks in advance.

From where I can download Oracle Client 11g R2 for Windows 7 64bit? Thanks in advance.

    Search engine broken?
Just search for Oracle 11g download and you get this link on the very first page
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/index.html
Then select 'See All' from the Microsoft Windows (x64) in the Oracle Database 11g Release 2 section
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-win64soft-094461.html
Can we assume you know how to search that web page for the word 'Client'?

  • Remove Oracle client path from windows 2008 64 bit

    Hi All,
I had to unstall the epm Hyperion product  after i found that installation need to done on a different language, which has oracle client for both 32 and 64 bit. But when i reinstall it is complaining about the oracle home path.
Below is the error i get from the log.
[FATAL] [INS-32053] The original name of the Oracle Home directory specified already exists.
CAUSE: The name of the Oracle home directory Home indicated on the command line corresponded to a name of origin existing Oracle Home directory in the central inventory.
ACTION: Choose another name for Oracle Home directory. Abandon this installation session and try again.
I have made sure that the filesystem is completely is removed after the unstallation except for these client files which i have removed manually.
Looks like the unnstalation doesn't happen correctly for the clients and old path is somewhere still exists. I have removed the client path from environment variable path list and tried again but no luck.
Can anyone help me to identify the places where i need to look to remove the earlier Oracle Home.
    Thanks

The registry, perhaps, or the inventory (which is in c:\program files\oracle or c:\program files (x86)\oracle - cannot recall right now).
However, if you search Oracle Support for "windows clean machine," you can find an article that shows you how to remove every trace of Oracle software from your Windows computer.

You can do it by DBUA , Or You can do it by the below steps :

    2. run preupgrade on the existing 11.2.0.1.
    3. shutdown 11.2.0.1 and startup upgrade from 11.2.0.3 home dont forget to copy the pfile/spfile of 11.2.0.1 database to $11.2.0.3_HOME/dbs path
    5. run the catupgrd.sql

  • To_char(adate,'dd.mm.yyyy')   returns different results  from  two oracle clients !!! Is it  possible?

    Dear all;
We have only one Database server with some IIS's   as web servers on front . Each web server has own oracle client software in order connect to central database..
The same following query used in C#  code  returns different results on each IIS server.(3 row, or  not data found )
    why?
    select     *    from    aTable    where        to_char( adate ,  'dd.mm.yyyy' )  =   :search_date

If adate is of DATE datatype, it will most likely has the time component. Therefore your SQL below is unlikely to return any data.

    Perhaps.....
    select * from aTable where TRUNC(adate) = to_date(:search_date, 'dd.mm.yyyy')
    Hi,
not having any sample data from you I could not understand that you wanted to select the range 00:00:00 - 23:59:59 on search_date.
Your method might not be efficient if you have an index on adate.
Maybe something like this will be more efficient
    select * from aTable
    where adate >= to_date(:search_date, 'dd.mm.yyyy')
      and adate <  to_date(:search_date, 'dd.mm.yyyy') + 1;
If you search_date is 30-Aug-2013 it will get records where adate >= 30-Aug-2013 00:00:00 and adate < 31-Aug-2013 00:00:00, so any time of date 30-Aug-2013.
Try like this and let us know if you still have 2 different results.
    Regards.

  • How to run import from Unix Oracle 8.0.5 database with Windows Oracle client?

How to run import from Unix Oracle 8.0.5 database via network with Windows Oracle client? Is it possible? When I try to do it Oracle client just hangs... If not which ones are compatible Aix or Solaris to Unix or it must be a Unix client to connect to Unix Oracle database. Thank's for any help.

    Hi,
In our project we are using this type. Since in this project server in UNIX(DEC) and client is running on windows. We have created a listener which always listen requests from client and doing the according to the request.
Step1. create a request table, where u are inserting ur request.
step2. create PRO*C proram, which is listening request on the table. If there is any request, call the imp (executable). This is happening on server side.
Benifit. U can make a request from cleint and ftp the file client sit.
Are u interested in more details and code, pls send a mail to me

  • Where can I get Oracle Client 10.2.0.2 or Oracle Client 10.2.0.5

I need a Oracle Client version 10.2.0.2 or 10.2.0.5. Where can I get it? I tried oracle site, It only give me the base version of it 10.2.0.1.
My client application has to have the correct version. Does anybody know where can I get it?

Assuming you mean the database client, 10.2.0.3 and 10.2.0.4 are currently available. If they are not available in base form for your platform, then you take the highest one that IS available and download and apply the related patches.
My client application has to have the correct version. Does anybody know where can I get it?
In which case you want to discuss about the Oracle Support contract that your client currently is using.
    This is urgent!
Apparently not. If it was, you would ask in the correct place - Oracle Support.
You are asking in a forum of volunteers. There can, by definition, be nothing urgent in these discussions because you are not guaranteed an answer, never mind a timely answer. Even then the answer is not guaranteed to be correct. Especially since virtually none of the answers officially comes from Oracle.

After I ran the "uninstaller" on the Oracle CD .. there were services still in existance, however, once I deleted the c:/Oracle folder, they were gone. I also re-booted the pc and double-checked, before I tried re-installing.
