Oracle cloud service: first connexion

Oracle Cloud Service is newly subscribed by My firm. And for the first use of My Service, the administrator account is locked  and to unlock it, the system is asking personal information such as mothers name, prefered color that I did not declare before. So I need your support to unclock the administrator account in order to get start the service..

I am using jdeveloper 11gr2, so pls dont tell me to use jdeveloper 11gr1. because, i hv already developed an application for my final year B.Tech and i cant migrate to previous release. So there is only one way for me by generating ear file and deploying from console.
    So,
I m not getting what is the problem and what will be solution for this?
    What should i do?
    What changes should required?
pls, help me to get out from this problem !!!!!

Well, I guess you have a problem here. Check http://multikoop.blogspot.de/2012/12/deploying-adf-applications-into-oracle.html and from this
    >
Note: In its current stage Oracle Java Cloud Service runs WebLogic Server 10.3.6 with the appropriate Runtime ADF 11.1.1.6. Deployment of ADF 11gR2 Applications is currently not supported. Beside this limitation some ADF Features are not supported on the Oracle Cloud. According to the Oracle Cloud Documentation it is not supported to use the following ADF features
    ADF Desktop Integration
    ADF mBean
ADF MDS (Seeded customizations or cross-session personalization)
    ADF Mobile
ADF Active Data Services (=> No real-time ADF Web Apps in Oracles Cloud)
ADF Business Components services interfaces (web services) or events
ADF Data Controls for BI, Essbase, BAM, and JMX
Further there are some restrictions which are good to know I think
No Java Mail API (=>Sending Mails is prohibited)
No File system access by deployed applications (=>Writing files is prohibited)
No Direct use of Oracle JDBC Driver APIs
    No Java Message Service (JMS)
Max Size for deployment archive 95MB

I hope for you that the information from the blog has changes in the meantime (blog is from end of last year). Check the current doc for the cloud ...

  • How can I download report information present in Analytics tab of Oracle Cloud Service RightNow CX  to a csv file? I need to automate this for daily run

    Hi,
I am working on a project where I need to download certain report data from RightNow Oracle Cloud Service to a csv file and process it into the warehouse. I have seen certain articles in Oracle stating about Dotnet API and PHP API but not sure if it can use them. Also I am not very confident with either Dotnet or PHP.
Is there any other approach that I can use to download the data, can it be done through curl?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks
    Sarthak

    Hi,
This community is for discussion on Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service. This service is currently not associated with Oracle RightNow Cloud Service.

  • Since 5 minute ago the oracle cloud service down!

we are using oracle cloud service since 8 months, today suddenly the data center location as  db.em1.oraclecloudapps.com  not working,it showing
    Oracle Access Manager Operation Error
The WebGate plug-in is unable to contact any Access Servers.
Contact your website administrator to remedy this problem.
we never expect this issue! coz our application in production mode!,rest of data center is working fine! (em2,ap1,ap2...)

after 1  day its up!.. after that in every day 3.50-4.00pm (AST / KSA (UTC+3) ) the paid cloud service attempt to re login as force.data center as db.em1.oraclecloudapps.com!

  • Oracle Cloud Services

My questions are related on how to manage a cloud service as follow:
It is possibile to reset the Test enviroment in a cloud implementatio?
It is possibile to refresg data from a Production enviroment to Test?
Operations above are already included and what is the the timing to do it?

Can you provide a bit more details about what specifically you are looking to do?
When you refer to refresh of an environment, what environment are you talking about? What would you like to refresh in that environment? Any examples?
How are you doing it in an on-premise scenario?

  • Connection from jdeveloper to Oracle cloud service stopped working

My connection to the Oracle cloud using a jdeveloper application server connection stopped working. The connection worked fine for a couple of days and I was able to deploy apps using it.
I get the following error :
    Testing Cloud-Admin                    ... failed.
    listApplications failed.
    Check username, password, domain, instance.
Check cloud sdk location & version: Tools->Preferences->Oracle Cloud
    0 of 1 tests successful.
I double checked the AUTH details and also made sure the sdk location was correct and the same one that worked correctly earlier.
    Thanks.

So this works intermittently without any changes ? Sounds peculiar, I haven't had such issues though there have been few occasions where the connection did not work, but those have always been very brief and rare. The only thing I can think of is some sort proxy issue. You probably need to contact the JCS support to get the issue investigated ..

  • Do you know how much a partner can make referring a Cloud Service deal to Oracle?

As an OPN member, how much a partner can get paid for doing Oracle Cloud Services referrals?

For our SaaS products the referral fee is 10% of the total contract value up to $50K (to the partner). It is a great way to start in the cloud as you only need to be a member in good standing at any level to refer. Normal OMM (Open Market Model) rules apply, but consider it as a very low barrier to entry option.

  • Creating more than one database user in oracle cloud

I hv created an adf application, in which there are 4 models. each model is connected to different database user, where SID is same for all user. These users have some number of tables, which are used as entity and view in model project in adf application. My query is:
I hv activated oracle cloud service for database and java. i want to deploy my adf application on cloud. so, how can i create more than one database user in cloud as i do in oracle db 11gr2? So that my all models will be connected to different database user in cloud.
Also, which service name should i use in model.jpx? I hv used mydb as service name on my local machine.
pls, help me to go ahead!!!!!!!!

    Hi Ajaykumar,
To ensure you receive an accurate response to your query, I believe it would be best raised on the Oracle Java Cloud Service forum, here:

  • Unable to access Oracle Cloud DB JNDI  in application after 4-5 successful attempts.

    Hello Everyone,
I have been using the Oracle Cloud Service for the last 10-15 days. I deployed a JAVA Web service application which is connected with the Oracle Cloud Database. I am consuming that web service in my Oracle ADF Mobile Application. But when I try to request the any web method of the service more than 4-5 times then the database connection goes unavailable and it respond me NullPointerException. After 10-15 minutes, The Database connection is available but when I request again more than 4-5 times to any web method of Web service then I face same issue.
I have been facing this problem for last 2-3 Days.
    Thanks
    Gurphez

Java Cloud Service basic (S1) and trial provides 5 DB connections in your connection pool. Make sure that your application is releasing the connections after each requests.
Your application seems to be holding on to the connections and running out of it after 4-5 attempts,
To adjust tuning parameters for ADF BC for cloud, it's recommended to change the following in the AM configuration:
    ensure jbo.txn.disconnect_level =1
    specify "Disconnect upon Release"
    Can you please try these.

  • Where do I find Documentation around Oracle Cloud Applications?

    Hello Cloud enthusiasts!
One of the great things about being a community member is being able to share information on the latest available resources, trainings, documentation etc. with other people in the community.
Today I'd like to present to you Oracle Cloud Documentation and some of the content that you can access here:
As you can see, in Get Started Section, you can access information like Oracle Cloud Terminology, how to get trial subscriptions, how to manage Cloud Services, how to manage accounts and user roles etc. You can also check currently available Oracle Cloud Services (Trial, Paid, Pre-Paid, and Pay as You Go). For each Cloud Service, you have a dedicated space with specific how-to's, around how to use, administer, report & analyse, but also FAQs and known issues. Several videos and books are available for you on the website. Take the tour and let us know what you think!

We SVN that we use for Java and other things and we have a LOT of PL/SQL code we maintain in our PD database with SQL Developer.  I want to find the simplest method for my developers to maintain the database code while being protected from code loss with SVN.
Hence l'm looking for a best practices guide to being able to check code in/out without having to jump through hoops every time we need to make a change.

  • Exception in cloud service with WCF and Oracle

Hi could someone help me resolve this error:
The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error.  For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior)
on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs.

    Hi Will Shao:
I already said what page you sent me and I get the following error:
An ExceptionDetail, likely created by IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults=true, whose value is:
System.ArgumentException: Unable to find the requested .Net Framework Data Provider.  It may not be installed.
       at System.Data.EntityClient.EntityConnection.GetFactory(String providerString).
Looks like the data provider is not installed. Are you using a virtual machine or a cloud service/website? If you're using a virtual machine, you can install the data provider manually. I don't know what exactly it is. Maybe the component on
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/windows/downloads/index-101290.html is sufficient. You may want to ask the question on an Oracle forum as well. If you're using a cloud service/website, then you can't install it directly. As a first step, try
to set Copy Local to true on the Oracle related assembly references in your project. This might work if the data provider does not rely on any external components. If that doesn't work, then on a cloud service, you can try to find a way to install the data
provider via command line, and use a startup task to run the command line. This is not supported in a website.

  • Network security with Oracle Database Cloud Service

Does the Oracle Database Cloud service support SSL? Or, any form of network encryption/authentication between a client and the service across the Internet?

Thank you Rick. I'm intending to use Oracle Database Cloud Service as a "Database-as-a-Service", however I have read that it is actually more of a "Platform-as-a-Service" offering.
What I would like to do is to interact with the Oracle Database Cloud Service via a local JDBC client. However, from further reading, it looks like the only way to interact with the Oracle Database Cloud Service from a non-Oracle-cloud-based client is via its RESTful web services (which, as you said, support SSL).
That is to say, I cannot simply connect to the Oracle Database Cloud Service from a local client just through JDBC alone. It looks like I would have to configure my client to make the relevant RESTful web service calls instead, and likewise configure my settings on the Oracle Database Cloud Service to make the necessary translations (from REST to SQL).
Just to finally clarify, is my above understanding correct?

  • Application deployed on Oracle Java Cloud Service - SaaS Extension is not connecting with cloud database.

    Hello Experts,
I have deployed an ADF application on Oracle Java Cloud Service - SaaS Extension and also deployed database objects from local environment to cloud using JDeveloper. I can see the cloud database has tables and data which I have deployed but when I access the application it seems it is not able to connect with cloud database.
I have followed below document and same sample application (HRSystem).

    http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/java/JDeveloperPart2/jdeveloperPart2.html
Please guide me what can be the issue.

Can you give us more details about your issue? Any error messages?

  • Question:How to use MySQL database as a service in Oracle Cloud

    Hello All,
I want to use MySQL as backend for my application. How can i select MySQL database. Its showing me only to choose Oracle database.
    Thanks in advance.

The Oracle Database Cloud Service uses the Oracle Database.  You do not have access to the underlying operating system to make the choice you are seeking.
When the Oracle Compute Service comes out later this year, you could use one of those "infrastructure only" environments and load MySQL into it.  You would be responsible for all maintenance of MySQL and the environment.
    Hope this helps.
