Oracle Collaboration Suite Calendar Portlet

Hi,
I have only oracle calendar installed from OCS 10G.
I have seen from documentation that there is a Calendar Portlet available as part of the install.
Does anyone know where the calendar portlet is installed, or is there a war or ear file that I can use to manually install the calendar portlet itself ?
Thanks,

Check the download page for the software.

  • Migration from Oracle Collaboration Suite

    Hello all.
I am having some trouble to migrate an Oracle Collaboration Suite from one server to another one. We are seriously considering to migrate to Sun Collab instead. Is it possible to use Oracle Collab's directory, mail and calendar information? Is it possible to import to Sun Collab?
    Thanks in advance

=> The directory data would need to be modified/translated/mapped into the appropriate form for Sun Collaboration Suite user accounts.
=> The Oracle calendar information could be exported in ICS format then re-imported into Sun Calendar.
So theoritically it should be possible although it would require a significant amount of testing and development of tools/scripts to assist in the process if you have a large number of users.

  • Are There "Oracle Collaboration Suite" Forums?

Is there a forum for questions on "Oracle Collaboration Suite"? i.e. Oracle Email, Oracle Calendar, etc?
I see that Oracle Collaboration Suite Release 1 (9.0.3.0.0) for Solaris Operating System (SPARC) (32-bit) is available for download. I am trying to determine if there will be a release that will run on Windows 2000, and if so, when its release may be scheduled for?
    Thanks,
    G

    Thanks Arnaud. It works.
Few more question about UI changes
Are there any copyright issues by Oracle to change text/images/css of Oracle Collaboration Suite Components; for example if I change
<strong>OracleLogo Collaboration Suite Mail </strong>to <strong>MyCompanyLogo Easy Mail </strong>so will it raise any copyright issue for us? or is there any document that defines <em>to what extent can we make changes?</em>

  • Accessing Collaboration Suite via Portlet

We are attempting to have a few select users populate information, discussions, and document libraries in Oracle Collaboration Suite. What we need is to be able to extract portions of that information and display it via (I expect) Portlets. With one for discussion topics, another for documents, and so forth.
I am finding it very hard to even get documentation references for the capability, not to mention examples. Anyone out there with something like this under their belt? Suggestions?
    Thanks

Mmmm ok, Metalink is a Place where you can find help, technical docs, patches and a lot of info.
Always when you get a licence you should get a CSI (Customer Support Identifier) and the Administrator of this should give you the loggin information for Link:[https://metalink.oracle.com], this is why you can download and install the product, you have to pay if you need more advanced support or directions for do something.
If you dont have this, let me know and I'll try to do something to help you get this info.
    Regards.

  • How's Oracle Collaboration Suite DBA  ??? career ?

I am getting an opportunity to work on Oracle Collaboration Suite DBA in same company.
If you have few mins then please can you guide me how is it to
work on OCS. Will it be helpful for me if i learn this application also ?
How is the market value of OCS DBA's ?

    Hi,
Will it be helpful for me if i learn this application also ? Because OCS is an global end-user interfae, OCS requires outstanding communications skills and knowledge of business processes.
Most of the DBA's have a business beckground, an increasingly important qualification:
    http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_how_to_become_oracle_applications_dba.htm
How is the market value of OCS DBA's ? I've not seen many shops with a dedicated person, it;s not that much work . . .
    Good luck!

Dificult to say. The market has not adopted the OCS as a big product. Maybe this will change with beehive (next version).
OCS requires you to have DB + AS + OCS skills. So you will have a lot to do and you'll work on a visible (corporate email) system. Lots of fun + lot of stress.

  • Migrating from Oracle Collaboration  Suite to UCM

    Hi
I was using Oracle Collaboration suite for my document management system . Now I plan to migrate it to UCM , is there any specific documents advising on this topics ?
    Thanks
    Joseph John

    Hello Joseph,
This is exactly my question too, my customer has implemented a document management solution based on OCS (Content Services) and Oracle BPEL. Now it is not clear where to go and additionally, considering a lot of problems with those products, they are considering other solutions to move too. If there is a migration plan (at least from the licensing point) this would help much.

  • Buying  Oracle Collaboration Suite

    hi
would you please tell me how and where i can buy "Oracle Collaboration Suite" with online payment ? and how to get Metalink account ?
    thx in adv

You should contact your local Oracle office for buying Oracle products.
When buying any product, Oracle will offer you free support ( depending on product purchased ) for some time and you will get a metalink account created by them.
After the expiry, you have to renew your support contract to keep that metalink account.
Oracle will give you a Subscriber ID and Customer Support Identifier (CSI) for later reference for buying products as well as renewing support contracts.
