Oracle Connector for Outlook Office 2003

Does the “Oracle Connector for Outlook” work properly with Outlook 2003 (Office 2003)? I cant find any information and when I tested it I got empty Mails every time. (Outlook Oracle Connector 3.4)
Is there a newer one which supports Outlook 2003(Outlook Oracle Connector 3.4)?

Bonjour Mr. Stocker,
Only the version 9.0.4.1.11 and up do offer support for Outlook 2003.
This version is available from the download section of OTN (http://otn.oracle.com) under Oracle Collaboration Suite Release 2 (9.0.4.1.x) Clients
Trusting this is to your complete satisfaction,

  • Oracle Connector for Outlook and Sent Mail

I'm very desperate for help with my problem. I have a customer that uses Outlook 2003 with the Oracle Connector for Outlook. When I set up the Connector, I only had it handle her Calendar. By that I mean that the only thing I wanted the Connector to do was pull her Oracle Calendar information and put it into Outlook's calendar. I used the default setting of the Connector of IMAP, but deselected the incoming and outgoing mail servers.
The user kept having problems with Outlook going Offline so I decided to remove the Connector. I did not realize until after removing the Connector account from Outlook that her sent mail was being saved in Oracle. This is very problematic for me because I have no idea what to do. Is there a way to retrieve the sent mail? I don't even understand why the sent mail was being saved within the Oracle folder. Once I deleted the Connector account in Outlook I was then told that I had to choose another folder for new mail to go to so I chose Personal Folders.
If I go to \Documents and Settings\User's Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook, I find the folder for the Connector. There is one in particular that has a .dll file that is about 56MB in size. However, I have no idea if that's the sent mail and, if so, how do I retrieve it.
I'd GREATLY appreciate any help that can be given on this. I simply would like to know if there is a way to retrieve that mail.
The user is using an IMAP account. This is NOT an Exchange account.

    1. Yes, OCFO is only for comunication with Oracle Calendar
    2. Yes, you can see any mail stored on the Oracle IMAP server without OCFO. Just subscribe to IMAP folders you want ...

  • Oracle Connector for Outlook will not end when I exit outlook???

Hi - can you help me, my OCFO keeps on running even when I am not in Outlook, I often want to stop this process because (as I found out today) it keeps popping up reminders for actions due even when I am in the middle of a Power Point show for a customer!!! Right clicking, left clicking or double clicking on the icon does nothing. Thanks Rich...

  • Removing Oracle Connector for Outlook

We are currently migrating away from OCS. Some of my machines seem to have two versions of Connector installed on them. No matter which order we try to uninstall them, the second one refuses to come out.
Are there any fixes for this or any instructions for manually removing this software?
I need registry keys as well as software installation directories.
    Thanks

Did you try re-installing the version that you can't uninstall?

  • KM Image file name for Microsoft Office 2003 documents

We want to change the images which display for Microsoft Office 2003 files loaded into KM to something more recognizable, but we CANNOT find the image files for .XLS, .DOC, .PPT, etc.
Any Ideas what they are called?  Are they in the standard image repository?
    Thanks!

    Hi Brian,
the icons are saved under /etc/public/mimes/images.
You can go to KM Content and upload there your own icons, You can either replace the SAP standard ones (ie: document.gif for .DOC) or you can change the KM Configuration (Content Management -> Utilities -> Icons) so that your own icons are associated with the MIME types you want to change. The second solution should be more upgrade safe in my opinion.
    Hope this helps,
    Robert

UNABLE TO INSTALL SUN JAVA SYSTEM MAPI SERVICES PROVIDER.This error could occur for any number of reasons and may have nothing to do with your use of Vista. There is an existing bug for a similar problem:

Try enabling debug installer logging and see if there is any other indication from the logs of the root cause.

  • Script for updating Office 2003 to 2010 shortcuts

    Hi,
    Scenario:
the upcoming week we plan to update all our pc's from Office 2003 std to Office 2010 std. We do not manage the shortcuts the users have on their desktops, quick launch bar, startup folder etc. But the most shortcuts have Excel, Word or Powerpoint in their name.
    Question:
To make it for the user as easy as possible we're looking for a solution that checks if the user has a shortcut in i.e. the startup folder. If it exists than it has to be replaced with the Office 2010 shortcut of the application. If not exists then do nothing.
I can't find a decent script that handles wildcards well. Any out there already tackled this problem?

  • Oracle connector for ebusiness user management

    Hi,
Do we have connector for Oracle applications 11.0.3?
can anybody point me to the OIM connector certification for ebusiness
    Thanks

You have 2 options. The simplest is create an oim group called like "EBS Default Responsibilities". Create an Access Policy that contains ONLY those responsibilities. When you're Create User task completes, trigger a second task called "Add User to Group" and in your task, create an adapter that adds the user to the OIM group. Then the access policy will trigger and add the responsibilities.
Otherwise you can add the values directly using the addProcessFormChildData API. To code using this API just search the forums and you should find plenty of samples.

  • Empty Presentation Catalog using Oracle BI for Microsoft Office (Excel, PP)

    Hi everyone,
after installed Oracle Business Intelligence for Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and configured according to this I only see an empty Presentation Catalog when I log on Excel or PowerPoint.
I've already see this thread and nothing seems to solve the problem.
    Any ideas?

    Hi John,
when I test my connection of Oracle BI for Office it says "Test connection successful", so I suppose there's no problem with connection or port.

  • Oralce Connector for Outlook

I recently installed the 9.0.4 Connector on my system running Outlook 2003 beta (11.5329.5329). I am not using IMAP or SMTP within my Oracle folder, but it is not clear that you need to, to be able to work with the calendar.
The system successfully downloads all of my calendar events from our Oracle Calendar Server, however, I can not add/change/reply to anything. It is looking like a Forms issue. I can successfully see the Oracle CT directory, and can add/remove people with access to my calendar, and this shows back up in the server, so I know that the connection is working.
Symptoms: When I try to add something to the calendar, I recieve the message: "Unable to open the Free/Busy Information. Operation Failed."
In looking through the docs, it suggested that the form may not be set, so I go into Properties and choose 'Install the Oracle Calendar Appointment Form', and this process gives an error: "To help prevent malicious code from running, one or more objects in this form were not loaded. For more information, contact your administrator."
Followed by the message that the form was successfully installed.
This is feeling like a VBScript security issue within Outlook, and would expect that something similar would happen with Outlook 2002, but am not sure.
Does anyone else have experience with this, or have any suggestions?
    thanks,

I have this problem with outlook 2000 and hyperlinks. Anytime a e-mail has a hyperlink in the body of the message the e-mail is sent blank. I tell Outlook not to make the text clickable (add the tags) and then it works.

    Bern,
Have you gone to the control panel, programs and tried repairing Office?  This fixes a lot of strange issues like this one.  After you repair your office install.  I would suggest removing your Outlook Profile and creating a new Outlook Profile
    to see if that helps.
You can install on multiple machines with your Office 365 license, I would install Office 2013 on a different machine, set-up Outlook and see if the issues remains.  Once you are done testing you and remove from machine and deactive from within your
    Office 365 Account.
