Oracle Data Objects greyed out

Hello, quick question about ODT 10.2.0.2.10 beta for .NET2005.
Oracle Data Objects are greyed out in my toolbox in web application. Also when I drag and drop table from Oracle Explorer onto the aspx form, all I get is text with Select statement.
At the same time, all this functionality works ok in windows form.
The same installation works ok in 2003, both web and windows forms.
Thanks in advance.

In vs2005, in an ASP.NET web application, you will need to right click on the default.aspx, select "View Component Designer" from the context menu and this will launch the Component (Windows Forms) Designer and then the ODP.NET components in the toolbox will be enabled.
Let me know if this fixes your problem.

  • Why is cellular data randomly greyed out on my ipad2?

Sometimes when I want to use 3G on my iPad 2, cellular data is greyed out.  It only returns with a hard reboot. I have an up to date plan on at&t and am running iOS 5.1.
Not a major crisis, just wanted to see if anyone has the same problem or a solution.
    Thanks.

The simple and quick solution by "dale from sf" worked for me. No reboot needed.
If you do not know how to "terminate" Settings, here is the gory detail. Many words to read, just a few seconds to do.
Press the "Settings" icon to open the Settings app. Observe that Airplane Mode is OFF and Cellular Data is (improperly) grayed out.
Press the Home button once to exit Settings.
Double-tap the Home button. (The contents of the screen will slide up an inch and look like it's behind smoked glass. The bottom row of the screen--which won't look like smoked glass--will display the icons of the last few apps you have run. The Settings icon, run most recently, will be the leftmost of those icons.)
Press and hold the Settings icon (at the left end of the bottom row) for about 2 seconds until a "minus badge" (red circle with white minus sign inside) appears near the top left corner of the Settings icon.
Tap the red "minus badge". (This will "terminate" the current run of the Settings app but leave the app installed on your iPad. Your settings won't change, but if you were in the middle of a process such as joining a wi-fi network or setting up a mail account, it may not complete and you may need to restart that process from the beginning.)
Press the "Settings" icon to open the Settings app. Confirm that Cellular Data is no longer grayed out. (If it is still grayed out, this method did not work folr you, Power off the iPad and power it back on.)

  • HT201415 I inserted a working sim card but iPad(2) says "no SIM" - cellular data setting greyed out

I inserted a working SIM card into my iPad 2. It picked up the network but later gave a message saying "No SIM". The Cellular Data control option is greyed out so I cannot get in to this function. I have tried removing the SIM and re-inserting as well as re-starting. This made no difference. Any suggestions why this is the case? I have tried the SIM in my iPhone 4 and it works fine. Thank you.

The SIM was taken from my iPhone. It is an extra line and was used for voice calls etc. So, it appears as though I need to get a dedicated data SIM. Appreciate the assistance..many thanks!

  • Date is greyed out.

    Hi gang..
When I go to the date and time up in the right hand corner, it reads fine but tells me the day and time only. When I use the pulldown feature there I get the full day and date but its always greyed out. I have tried everything I can think of to adjust this so its not greyed out or even to get this instead of the regular day and time, but no go. Does anyone here know how to ungrey out the day and date from the pulldown menu? Its always been like this BTW..
    Thanks

    K, now I got it.
There's never been an option through the Date & Time preferences to display all of the date, day and time - it would consume too much menu bar space. It's been that way since back in the days of System 6 (think back in the day of the 128K Mac - 9" screen!). Up through OS 9, clicking on the clock would toggle to the month/date/year, then back.
In OS X, it's changed to a contextual-style display, showing the day and date and options to change the display behavior or open the Date & Time preferences. The fact that the day and date are grayed out infers only that the item can't be changed directly through the menu item - it must be changed through the preference setting.
I have never searched for any utility that would alter or replace the clock display in the menu bar. I do have iStat Menus which will display it's rendition of the clock but it also will not display the day, date and time as one item in the menu bar - again, a contextual-style menu appears showing the calendar. But I don't use that function from iStat Menus - the standard Apple clock has worked fine for me all these years.
You might search over on VersionTracker for clock mods or replacements.

  • "Get External Data Group" greyed out

I'm having the same problem as someone else whose  Excel 2010 the "Get External Data" is grayed out was also greyed out.  There was a suggestion to clear the old external data.  How do you clear old external data?

    Hi,
    Please confirm the following situations:
Once double click a cell, the “Get External Data” will be greyed out.
One you select a cell in a table, the “Get External Data” will be greyed out.

  • Cellular Data turned off, Data Roaming greyed out and shows as on

I've googled the **** out of this and still can't find the answer so here goes.
If I have both Cellular Data and Data Roaming ON and then turn Cellular Data OFF then the Data Roaming label and ON/OFF toggle both turn grey and light blue respectively, but the Data Roaming still shows as ON (in light blue not the regular blue colour). Does this mean that Data Roaming is actually still on? If not, then why doesn't it show as OFF or are we supposed to interpret the fact that it is greyed out to mean that it is actually off when it shows ON?

    You're welcome.
I don't see what difference it makes. Cellular Data off means cellular data is off. Someone who is roaming internationally with Data Roaming turned on wants data turned off completely for a period of time can turn Cellular Data off without turning Data Roaming off. When turning Cellular Data back on, Data Roaming is already on.
An iPhone can exchange SMS for certain with Cellular Data turned off, but I don't believe the same applies to MMS.
Having 3G network access on or off has 3G network access on or off only. The same amount of data will be exchanged with 3G access off only at a slower rate. If you download the same photo via a fast broadband connection vs via a much slower old dial-up connection, the same amount of data will be downloaded only slower via the dial-up connection.

  • Subform object greyed out

New to Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0 and I am  having trouble creating a subform.  When I try with the library pallette or form the standard menu,  hte subform icon or option is greyed out.  Not sure what I am missing.

    Hi,
I suspect that you have started the form by importing an existing Word or PDF document. While you can do that, it means that you will not have the full functionality that LC Designer has to offer.
If you start a new blank form, then all of the items in the library will be available to you.
    Good luck,

As per new requirement i have to remove DB link ,is there any other way i can access both database with out DB link.Yes. But that needs another network and application interface instead of a database link.
The target database can implement PL/SQL web services. These can be called via HTTP.
The local database can use UTL_HTTP to make a call to the target database's web service for accessing target database data.
Both databases can use AQ (Advance Queues). This can be integrated with an application server's JMS queues.
This enable one database to enqueue a request to the other database, and for that database to respond by sending data.
There are numerous such type of interfaces that can be used. Some primitive. Some advanced. Some simple. Some complex.
The easiest and most flexible mechanism is however a database link. And it does not make sense to disallow database links for security and management reasons, but allow JMS for example. The network infrastructure is the same for both methods. The network protocol is the same. The security issues and concerns are the same - except that JMS for example is significantly more moving parts and make configuration and security a lot more complex than using a database link.

  • Essbase administration service. The SQL data access source is greyed out

Env: EAS 11g Oracle 10g database
    Hi,
After i tried to install EAS and try to create a rule file, I find out that I am unable to select the datasource from "SQL data sources" field, which has been greyed out. However, I am able to make the connection in another environment that use the same settings. This is a replica of the system.
    1) Is there something with the connection. If yes, what file(s) I need to check and any other things that I need to check. It could be something with the jdbc.ini file perhaps. But when I try to check this ini file, it appears the same with the one that works in the other environment
    kindly need your help

To configure data sources on UNIX:
1.Open the $EPM_ORACLE_HOME/common/ODBC/Merant/x.x/odbc.ini file and add a data source description.
    2.Copy the $EPM_ORACLE_HOME/common/ODBC/Merant/x.x/odbc.ini to $ESSBASEPATH/bin/.odbc.ini.
3.Create a symbolic link to the $ESSBASEPATH/bin/.odbc.ini from the UNIX user home directory:
    ln -s $EPM_ORACLE_HOME/common/ODBC/Merant/x.x/odbc.ini /home/myfolder/.odbc.ini
4.Verify that the odbc.ini file in the user home directory matches the odbc.ini file in EPM_ORACLE_HOME/common/ODBC/Merant/x.x.
If the files do not match, repeat step1 through step3
The ODBC-64 folder is used when the Linux is a 64 bit.
Check if these are the steps you followed to create the Data Source.
The connection to the DSN created can be checked by below steps in Unix..
    [essdev@dshypdev bin]$ pwd
    essdev/hyperion/products/Essbase/eis/server/bin
    [essdev@dshypdev bin]$ ./odbcconfig

    3. what are the ways to find out if my 11i application is OATM enabled ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
I managed to find answer for question 1, yet to find answer for 2 and 3.
    Answer for question 1 --
    Data objects : store and access business data (tables, indexes, sequences, index-organized tables, etc);

  • 'Repeat Subform for Each Data Item' is greyed out

    Hi there,
I need to make a certain subform repeatable but the 'Repeat Subform for Each Data Item' is greyed out.  It's parent subform is not greyed out so I can make this repeatable but this is not the requirement.
Is there another setting that prevents a subform from being repeatable?
    Many thanks,
    Kieran Kelly

I guess you need to set the set the content flowed instead of positioned for which subform you want to repeat.
Click on the subform you want to repeat in the hierarchy panel , then in the object panel click on the content and set in the flowed format.
    Hope it helps .
    Thanks.
