The setenv.bat has the following variables set:-
set DRIVER_CLASSPATH=C:\Jdeveloper\oc4j\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14dms.jar;C:\Jdeveloper\oc4j\jdbc\lib\ocrs12.jar;C:\Jdeveloper\oc4j\jdbc\lib\orai18n.jar;C:\Jdeveloper\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14.jar;
set JAVA_HOME=C:\Jdeveloper\jdk
Please could somebody help me with this error?
Thanks.
Got this problem fixed. Forgot to include dms.jar in the DRIVER_CLASSPATH environment variable in the setenv.cmd file of top link
So changed it to include the dms.jar file as follows:-
set DRIVER_CLASSPATH=C:\Jdeveloper\oc4j\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14dms.jar;C:\Jdeveloper\oc4j\jdbc\lib\ocrs12.jar;C:\Jdeveloper\oc4j\jdbc\lib\orai18n.jar;C:\Jdeveloper\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14.jar;C:\Jdeveloper\oc4j\lib\dms.jar;
and the toplink seemed to connect to the db.
Thanks.

I downloaded Oracle SQL Developer 1.5 for Windows from the Oracle website and installed it on my computer. This zip file includes the JDK1.5.0_06. Then I ran Help | Check For Updates. This installed JTDS JDBC Driver 11.1.1.5304 and MySQL JDBC Driver 11.1.1.5304. I am trying to create a new database connection. Below are my settings.
Connection Name = TEST
Username = <the schema name>
Password = <the password>
Save Password = unchecked
Role = default
Connection Type = TNS
OS Authentication = unchecked
Proxy Connection = unchecked
Network Alias = <alias from tnsnames.ora>
When I click the [Connect] button I get the following message:
Status : Failure - Test failed: Missing class: oracle.dms.instrument.ExecutionContextForJDBCDependent class: oracle.jdbc.driver.Physica...
Any help on resolving this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.Thanks also!!!
NB ... path for sql dev must be one's own local path ... I copied from this OTN board ... and ... it didn't work.
When I went to try again, step by step, from a DOS prompt, I realized ... duh ... the path ...
But it is odd ... it wants its own JDBC class stuff ... why can't it find it when you put it on a short cut with a "start in" directory as itself?
Sometimes I hate computers ...

Hi,
I have a basic maven application created using oracle WebLogic Maven Plugin. Application uses UCP and I am logging UCP connection details in the application. Application is deployed to wls 12.1.3 ( JDK jdk1.8.0_45 ) and it gives java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/dms/console/DMSConsole when accessed.
I have dms.jar in maven pom dependency ( added to local mvn repo manually ) and I verified that dms.jar is present in WEB-INF\lib in the application war and dms.jar contains DMSConsole class file under oracle/dms/console folder. I am using spring beans to initialize UCP logging. This appliation works in Tomcat 7.5. It gives error in wls 12.1.3 and 12.1.1 . Please advice on how to debug/ resolve...

SandeepVerified WebLogic Classloading using CAT '( wls-cat app ) and found oracle.dms.console.DMSConsole was loaded from web-inf jar and ucp classes were loaded from jar from weblogic, used below entry in weblogic.xml to load everything from web-inf to resolve the issue
<container-descriptor>
<prefer-web-inf-classes>true</prefer-web-inf-classes>

Our XML Publisher TMP is not defined, so it uses the APPLTMP used by concurrent manager. There is a folder xdofonts/<SID> in $APPLTMP. It contains the fonts used by XML publisher and on the of font file (.ttf) was 0 byte. We copied the ttf file from QA. And it started working.
Best practice is to define diffent TMP for concurrent managers and XML Publisher.

Hi Guys!
Thanks for your advises. I still working toward a resolution.
But I encountered another issue from Enterp Manager :
ERROR : Please correct the following error: Connection string must be specified.
My connection has this format:

Please tell me what is wrong here. Thanks. Dan.

Oracle Explorer throws "Unspecified Error"
Hi,
I just installed OPD 10.2.01. And it said installation was successful. But when I goto IDE and click on oracle explorer an "Unspecified Error" message box appears. And also I am unable to exit the IDE after this, the message reappears when I try to exit IDE.
Could anyone please help me with this.
Thanks.ok to answer my own question. I reinstalled the opd.net. even though it threw an error that it was not able to update some rar file, the oracle explorer seems promising.

Oracle RDBMS Kernel Executable Error
Hi People
First of all let me say all you my English is not very good.
I am from Mozambique and now we are working with Oracle 10g on Windows Server 2003 OS.We have a lot of servers, all of them have more than one million records.But one of them now is displaying the following message error:
ORACLE RDBMS KERNEL EXECUTABLE ERROR.
This message appears when i start the server (means that appear when i start the database). I think the problem is related with file ORACLE.EXE...perhaps is damaged or corrupted.Until now we still connect the database but i don't know the real dimension of this error, i don't if i wiil wake up tomorrow with my database crashed or not.
How can i fix this error?Is possible to repair that file without losing data?
Afonso PeneThis is a windows problem. What comes into my mind:
1. Check event log, are there any other messages. Are there any windows error codes.
2. If problem after one more restart still exists, then think about reinstalling oracle or restoring oracle.exe from opsystem backup if You have such.
Seems oracle services are automaticaly started when system reboots?
You can try to put them into manual mode and then restart server and try to start them manualy - will error again appear or this was one time error.
Anyway, debug should be done from windows side.
If database is running just fine and users are not complaining, then maybe it's just windows error reporting as it suddenly went down and when came up again, it reported some errors. as a result no actions should be done. -
Oracle ODBC Driver Specifc Error Codes
Dear All,
I'm currently working in a migration assignment.I'm looking for a Technical document which consists error codes specific to Oracle ODBC Driver(ver.9.00.11.00).Any help in this regard will be appreciated.
Thanks & Regards,
SamThere shouldn't be any Oracle ODBC Driver specific error codes. When you're talking about ODBC and error codes, there are two possibilities-
1) You're looking at the SQLState return codes. These are part of an ISO standard (they're more than happy to sell you a copy) and are documented in the ODBC Programmer's Reference from Microsoft as well as most decent ODBC guides.
2) You're looking at the Oracle specific error codes that are returned as the error text in ODBC. These (potentially) depend on the version of the database you're connecting to, rather than the version of the client software you have, and are covered in Oracle's error message manual available at tahiti.oracle.com

How can I get oracle.dms.* API Javadoc
Hi, every Oracle system expert,
I am going to developing a servlet to get the all the performance matrics from the AggreSpy(a per-packeged servlet in Oracle9iAS).
Is any one know how can I get oracle.dms.* package, How can get dms API.
dms - dynamic monitoring service is a monitoring framwork of the Oracle9iAS.
I have search everywhere on the Oracle web site, still cannot found. but I haven't install Oracle9iAS yet.
Does it should be somewhere in the Oracle_home/lib
Thanks in advance!
ElyEly,\\why don't you ask this question in one of the Oracle Application Server forums ?

Firefox is automatically opening upon start up
Firefox automatically opening on my MacBook upon start up, just started 7 days ago. Not sure why? I've tried resetting under preferences. That didn't work. I'm not a tech person. But I find it frustrating when this happens.
