Oracle Drive"Remember Password" setting?

Is there a setting for Oracle Drive to allow it to cache the password across sessions?
If not, is there some way to use the existing Windows Credentials to authenticate to the Content Services DAV server rather than prompting for the password?

There is no such setting so far. The latest release (10.2.0.0.5) can be scripted to map drives so the login could be automated by embedding the password in the script (or somehow cleverly obfuscated into the registry and be retrieved by a script at runtime)

  • Ssl authorization passwords saved although never remember passwords set

My firefox is set to always use private browsing and never remember passwords. But if I open a new private windows and go to a web page that requires SSL authentication and I put in a user and password and then close the window, firefox has saved that info. If I open a new private browsing window and go to same webpage it does not azsk for authentication again. Is there a setting to get rid of ALL passwords?

while multiple profile could be a last resort that approach seems best for firefox windows or sessions that are significantly different from each other...i just want similar private windows that don't talk to each other...prefer some kind of "about:config" solution...loosing faith...next I will find out NSA has obvious backdoor right in source code...aarrrrgggh

  • Oracle Systems & SYS Password Setting. Works with SAP ?

    Hello all,
We are looking at the possibility of forcing the change of the system and sys passwords in Oracle 10 which is where our SAP 4.6 is running on.
We have located some oracle parameters (please see below) that can do such things as limit the minimal size and grace period of the sys and system account.
Has anybody else had any experience in setting restriction on these Oracle accounts with SAP ?

  • Cisco VPN on iPad - remember password setting

I've tried to configure some iPad's to connect to Cisco VPN by hand and via IPCU. It appears that the user's password for VPN is saved when initially entered (both by hand and by IPCU), but upon connection to the concentrator, the user is prompted for the password and then the field is changed to "Ask Every Time". Even if you go back and enter a password here and save, it will go back to "Ask Every Time". I've changed our Cisco concentrators to allow the users to save passwords for this particular VPN group, but that didn't fix the problem either. To me, it appears a bug, but wondering if others had seen this or not.

We changed on our ASA 5500 as below and all VPN passwords stored on iPhone 3.1.3, 4.0, iPad 3.2.1...
Cisco VPN Client Password Storage Configuration
If you have numerous Cisco VPN Clients, it is very hard to remember all the VPN Client usernames and passwords. In order to store the passwords in the VPN Client machine, configure the ASA/PIX and the VPN Client as this section describes.
    ASA/PIX
Use the group-policy attributes command in global configuration mode:
    group-policy VPNusers attributes
    password-storage enable

hello, firefox won't save your passwords when you've set it up to run in permanent private browsing mode ("never remember history" in the options > privacy panel).
[[Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track]]

  • I have set up to remember passwords but it is not working. I deleted and changed several passwords but now only some prompted me for remembering the new password

I had set this up and it was working, but I deleted several passwords and set up new ones. Even though it is set up to remember passwords, it does not prompt me on a few sites. One is a hotel company and they do not block saving passwords. The others worked before and I don't think they changed. On most of the sites it worked fine

This can be caused by the Google toolbar.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • How to set mandatory category with Oracle Drive?

    Hi,
is there a way to fill a mandatory category when a file is stored via Oracle Drive?
I have tested this in OCS 10.1.2.0 and it works only with the web frontend but not in Oracle Drive. If i save a file in a directory which has categories assigned then i get an error that metadata are required but i got no chance to set them anywhere.

    Hi,
we have the same problem in our system. We become an answer from Oracle that in the next ODrivepatch (end of Q2) this will be fixed. At the moment you can only use a none mandatory category to copy files over ODrive in the system and then change to the WebUI and fill out the category that you need.

I downloaded the new version of Firefox. I had the old version set to not remember passwords. The old version also deleted the username, which is what I wanted it to do. On the new version, I've set it to not remember passwords, but now usernames are showing up on my websites. How do I fix this?

  • Does supervisor password sets master hard drive password?

On lost or forgotten password - ThinkPad General we read "setting a supervisor password automatically sets the master hard drive password". This one is a powerful feature that allows administrators recovering disks whose user password has been set to an unknown string.
Does this feature applies to old systems too, let us say T40 and X40-series ThinkPads, or only to new ones?
If this feature does not apply to old systems is there a way to set a master password (only a master password, not a user one) on the drives of these old ThinkPads? Up to my knowledge the only choices are user password or master + user password. My goal is providing a mean to recover control on a drive whose user password has been set without requiring users provide a password each time the computer is booted.
    Thanks!
Edit: found a reference to supervisor password setting a master hard drive password automatically from march 2008, however I am interested in computers from 2004 up to 2006.
    Solved!

AFAIK, on the old systems such as T4x/X4x one must set both the user and the master password.

My daughter locked herself out of her phone cannot remember the advanced password setting, we share an Itunes account and both recently joined the cloud, if she resets her phone all her information will be gone, will it affect the data on my phone as well

No, when resetting an iPhone it resets the actual data contained within the phone, nothing on your iCloud will be affected. It is a good idea to use seperate iClouda and iTunes accounts then you can each create your own backups regularly without your daughters backup overwriting yours or vice versa.

I have an external hard drive, can I set a password on this? The drive is already populated with data

ITs an old Iomega 100gb external HD that has about 90gb of music on it. The Macbook has a 500gb HD. I would like to put the iTunes library on the internal HD so I have room to expand.
    Phil0124 wrote:
You can copy it to the internal hard drive as long as it fits on it. How big is your library, and how big is your internal HD?
The only thing you do not want to do is over-stuff the internal hard drive. The OS needs some space to operate correctly, so if your iTunes library uses up more than say 80 to 85% of the internal HD's available space it may not be a good idea to transfer it over.
With that said, the internal HD will provide slightly faster access to the library than the external would, but other than that, you can point iTunes to the external drive just fine.
