Oracle e-biz db upgrade

Hi,
we are upgrading database of oracle e-biz 11.5.10.2
our DB_NODE VERSION is 10.2.0.4
and our Prodora top db version is 8.0.6
my question is do we have to upgrade both the db's( 10.2.0.4 and 8.0.6) or only 10.2.0.4 is sufficient for oracle e-biz

DBI do not think it is possible -- Please confirm with your printer vendor if your printer support PDF printing first.

What are the Oracle E-BIZ Vision Demo Database AMIs

Found a link to this community from the Amazon AWS site, so I am hoping that this is the correct place and that someone responsible for the Oracle E-Biz AMIs will read this.
I posted the following question on the Amazon AWS forums...

I have checked all AMIs matching "Oracle" and all AMIs matching "Vision", "e-biz", and "e-bus", nothing (apart from the 2 32 bit AMIs above) seems to be an E-Biz AMI.

Oracle E- biz

I'm quite new to oracle.
I have to set up a trading partner just to test my application can access and send msgs to the oracle E-biz.
I have 11i installed in a linux system.
I'm able to ping the ECXOTAPing and the OTAInbound page comes up.
But when I login to the /OA_HTML/AppsLocalLogin.jsp as sysadmin/sysadmin I'm not able to see the XML gateway in the navigator.
As per the details in http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/fusion_middleware/fusion/soa/ebuz_esb/ebusiness_events_esb.htm
I tried to login as OPERATIONS/welcome, it says LOGIN FAILD. Contact sys admin.
Kindly help me to resolve this. I just need a trading partner defined in oracle.

Thank you so much for all your inputs. It really helped me. I'm able see the XML gateway link in the navigator after assinging the responsibility to sysadmin.
The installation was done by some one else who is not currently available i'm not too sure abt the DB, but I guess, its definitely not the VISION DB. Is a fresh prod db without any data.
But I have some other issue now. I have got the http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B12190_11/current/acrobat/115ecxug.pdf Guide.
And I'm trying to setup the Trading partner. I have defined the HUB, Transactions... all of them as said in the document, on page 202 (3-26) when I'm about to give the Trading patener details. I'm able to choose the Trading partner type, but it is not populating any Trading partner Name actually there is no entry. And I'm not able to create one here.
If at all I have to create partner details before this step, where do I do or why is it not able to populate any value...
I'm I doing anything wrong here.
If I click on user setup it says save the header first.
APP-ECX-385042 : Please save the header record before selecting user setup.
Could anyone guide me regarding the same?

Does Oracle E-Biz 11i support intercompany Invoice with a negative line?

We are using Oracle E-Biz GL/AP/AR/FA (Oracle E-Biz 11.5.2.10). Now we are facing this issue: When we create an intercompany Invoice with a negative line it does not generate proper inter-company entries.
For eg:
Invoice Amount 1000 for company1
Distribution:
Company2.account.company1 : 300
Company3.account.company1 : 300
Company4.account.company1 : 500
Company5.account.company1 : -100
when transfer to GL process is done following entries are generated.
Company1.Liab account.company1 Credit 1000
Company2.Exp account.company1 Debit 300
Company3.Exp account.company1 Debit 300
Company4.Exp account.company1 Debit 500
Company5.Exp account.company1 Credit 100
on posting following Intercompany transactions are generated.

As per metalink Notes, there is no very clear steps on how to deal with Apps Environment after DB characterset change using CSALTER.Did you go through these documents?

1) After DB characterset change, do we have to run Autoconfig, after editing the DB XML file to reflect new characterset value.Yes.
2) Does the same apply to Application CONTEXT file also for APPL_TOP, etcAre you also changing the application tier characterset? However, I would say you will have to run AutoConfig in both cases.
3) when shud we run adadmin- filesystem cahracterset conversion. Before or after autoconfig.Run the "Convert character set" via adadmin, then run AutoConfig -- See "Oracle® Applications Maintenance Utilities" manual for details.
Also i am facing issues in connecting to sqlplus from applmgr user after the DB characterset change.
It just core-dumps.Did you implement all the steps mentioned in the documents? What is the complete error message? What does "echo $NLS_LANG" return as oracle and applmgr users?

There are no out-of-box integration available. Which Primavera application and EBiz module are you looking at for integration?
I guess the path forward will be to develop your own integration solution, contract it to someone or get the integration solution from one of the certified partners.

Can not login to Oracle Application Express after upgrade to 3.2

I installed oracle database express and then I upgrade APEX to 3.2 on it. I got the login page but I can not login by using any account, like SYS, SYSTEM. From the document, internal ADMIN account should exist but I did not see it from dba_users table.

I did run apxchpwd.sql to change the Application Express ADMIN user password. Then I invoked http://mymachine:8080/apex and got the Application Express login page. I put ADMIN in workspace and ADMIN in Username and the new password. But I still cannot login. I also tried http://mymachine:8080/apex/apex_admin page login. I typed ADMIN as username and the new password. Then I clicked on Login button. Nothing happened. No error message.
Any idea?
By the way, what does apxxepwd.sql do?

So I ignored the error for the time being and after that I checked the status of crs and it gave me the following:

So i tried to bring it back up by doing a crs_stop -all and crs_start -all and it gave me the following error:

CRS-0215: Could not start resource 'ora.vtl-rac2.ons'.
I am thinking that all of this is caused by the various issues I had with the install. If I am incorrect, then please let me know. If it is true, I would like to know if there are any 11g docs on how to clean up a failed clusterware upgrade. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on any of the situations I am having.

Did CVU report any problems before the upgrade?No, there were no errors reported by CVU before the upgrade.
I don't there is note out there for cleaning 11g CRS
install...and I think can very use the 10g CRS note -

see if it helps.Yup, your guide is very simple, clear and error proof :) That's how mine when pretty much except right around 75% I started getting these strange errors of files not being able to be transferred to node 2. Anyways, it shouldn't be a problem as none of those errors were configuration related...or else I would have a messed up cluster.
Well, I actually rebooted both machines and now the whole CRS stack is up!! So I guess I am ok. We'll just have to wait and see.

Let me update you that one of our client is looking to upgrade their Oracle E-Business Suit Verion from R12.0.6 to R12.1.3. and database version from 10.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.2.
Current all the financial and SCM modules are implemented on there production instance.
We would like to know what are the pre and post upgrade activities needs to be performed ?
What are the list of patches which needs to performed while doing an upgade from

1. Setup hardware.
2. Install and setup OS.
Install R12.1.1
3. Install R12.1.1 (run Rapid Wiz)
Post –Install R12.1.
4. Upgrade Opatch in 10.1. home
5. Upgrade /patch OAS 10.1.2.3 (inc in R12.1.1)
6. Redeploye forms.ear
Pre-install R12.1.3
7. Upgrade OPatch in database home
8. Upgrade OPatch Database in 11.1.0.7
9. Upgrade OPatch in 10.1.3 Home
10. Upgrade /Patch OAS 10.1.3.4 to .5
11. Upgrade Java to 1.6_0_17 or lower
Install R12.1.3
12. Apply EBS R12.1.3 maintenance pack
