Oracle Enterprise Data Quality certification
Any one have Oracle Data Quality certification dumps . I need it urgently. Please send me at < email address deleted by moderator > . Thank you in advance.

Test dumps are illegal. They consist of material stolen from Oracle.
Requesting someone to do an illegal thing is just plain wrong.
Anyone proven to have used dumps to prepare for tests makes them liable to have ALL their certifications revoked and that person banned from future testing.

Oracle Enterprise Data Quality
Anyone has installed and used Oracle Enterprise Data Quality?
Can someone provide guidance where to download and the file name?
We are planning to use it for profiling product data(home grown system)You should find all you need in the Getting Started guide in the online help.
I recommend using the introductory wizard when first launching Director- this will take you through creating a project, connecting to some data, and creating a profiling process. -

Address verification in Oracle Enterprise Data Quality
Hi,
I am new to OEDQ. I have a need to do the address verification using OEDQ. Please guide me how to proceed with the process.
Thanks in advance.
Regard,
Ida.Hello Ida,
Address Verification in OEDQ is comprised of the Address Verification API, and a Global Knowledge Repository (also known as Postal Address File).
A subscription to a Postal Address File must be purchased directly from a provider, and Oracle's prefered partner for this is Loqate, (http://www.loqate.com/).
See explanation here for details: https://blogs.oracle.com/mdm/entry/enterprise_data_quality_integration_ready
The Address Verification and Standardization service uses EDQ Address Verification (an OEM of Loqate software) to verify and clean addresses in either real-time or batch. The Address Verification processor is wrapped in an EDQ process – this adds significant capabilities over calling the underlying Address Verification API directly, specifically:
Country-specific thresholds to determine when to accept the verification result (and therefore to change the input address) based on the confidence level of the API
Optimization of address verification by pre-standardizing data where required
Formatting of output addresses into the input address fields normally used by applications
Adding descriptions of the address verification and geocoding return codes
The process can then be used to provide real-time and batch address cleansing in any application; such as a simple web page calling address cleaning and geocoding as part of a check on individual data.
The Installation and Configuration of Addess Verification with OEDQ and Loqate is documented here: Installing and Configuring Address Verification

Enterprise Data Quality - stuck/crash when processing high volume
I am using Enterprise Data Quality, trying to run a data profiling process of 1 million rows. However, the process (which contains group and merge processors) appears to be always stuck half way through or crashes. I have tried other data sources and the result is the same.
It seems that Enterprise Data Quality does not handle high volume very well. Please assist and let me know what other details you require.Hi,
It is certainly not the case that EDQ does not handle large volumes of data well. We have a large number of customers running huge data volumes in the product and have benchmarked the product running services on massive volumes, including matching of 250m records.
However, if you want to run large jobs, you need to make sure the system is installed and tuned correctly. How did you install the product? Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit? How much memory is allocated to EDQ?
With regard to best practice, did you throw all profiling processors at all of your data? The better approach is to 'open profile' a sample of records and pick more carefully which processors to run on larger volumes... otherwise you are telling the server to do a huge amount of work and some of it may not be necessary. Data profiling is an iterative exercise to help you find data issues that you can check for an fix using audit and transformation processors. Profilers are used mostly for simple reporting when it comes to production jobs on larger volumes.
Note that there are some profiling processors that will cause progress reporting to appear to 'pause' at 50% of the way through a process. These are 2-phase processors such as the Record Duplication Profiler which needs to spool all data to a table and then analyze it rather than work record by record. Such processors are typically slower than the simpler profilers that add flags to the data with a counting phase at the end (Frequency Profiler, Patterns Profiler etc.)

What is the supported version of Oracle Enterprise Quality Data for WebLogic 12c
Hi All,
The recent release of Oracle Enterprise Data Quality is 11.1.1.6.1 for which supported weblogic server is WebLogic 10.3.6
Can anyone tell me that if WebLogic 12c also is a supported version for Oracle Enterprise Data Quality 11.1.1.6.1 and if no, then which version of Oracle Enterprise Data Quality is supported on WebLogic 12c (12.1.2)
Its really urgent.Please guide!
Thanks in Advance!Hi,
Thanks But I already followed this link and I forgot to mention that I am looking for the supported version of Oracle Enterprise Data Quality for Product Data for Oracle WebLogic 12.1.2. In the certification matrix of Oracle Enterprise Data Quality for Product Data 11g it is listed that the supported weblogic version is 10.3.6. So I wanted to know which version of Oracle Enterprise Data Quality for Product Data would support weblogic 12.1.2 or if Oracle Enterprise Data Quality for Product Data 11g is supported on weblogic 12.1.2 also.
I checked the certfication matrix for Oracle Enterprise Data Quality for Product Data 11g from Oracle Fusion Middleware Supported System Configurations link only.

OWB Data Quality & Data Profiling option basic or enterprise license?
Hello,
know anyone if the Data Quality & Data Profiling options is already include in the basic license of oracle warehouse builder or not?
I look forward for your replies :)
Edited by: BartSimpson81 on 11.04.2012 07:38Hi
The last I heard was that Oracle does not offer any license (it is not on the price list) that covers OWB Data Quality and Profiling and it is not covered in enterprise ETL. This OWB Data Quality and Profiling option was axed from the price list a couple of years ago - strange I know. Customers who already have at least one license can get more, but for new customers the only path is the ODI-related Oracle Enterprise Data Quality. I think when it comes down to it if you use it, think its of value then I'm sure someone will happily take some dollars from you at some point.
Cheers

ODI Data Profiling and Data Quality
Hi experts,
Searching about ODI features for data profiling and data quality I found (I think) many ... extensions? for the product, that confuse me. Cause I think there are at least three diferents ways to do data profiling and data quality:
In first place, I found that ODI has out of the box features for data profiling and data quality, but, acording to the paper, this features are too limited.
The second way I found was the product Oracle Data Profiling and Oracle Data Quality for Oracle Data Integrator 11gR1 (11.1.1.3.0) that is in the download page of ODI. Acording to the page, this product extends the existing inline Data Quality and Data profiling features of ODI.
Finally, the third way is Oracle Enterprise Data Quality that is another product that can be integrated to ODI.
I dont know if I understood good my alternatives. But, in fact, I need a general explanation of what ODI offer to do Data Quality and Data profiling. Can you help me to understand this?
Very thanks in advance.Hi after 11.1.1.3 version of ODI release, oracle no longer supports ODP/ODQ which is a trillium software product and this not owned by oracle. Oracle is recommending the usage OEDQ for quality purposes. It's better if you could spend time on OEDQ rather than trying to learn and implement ODP/ODQ in ODI

In R12.1.3 -Supplier Hub/Lifecycle Mgt - we have already data quality feature included out of box. Do we need to install enterprise data quality separately in this case for supplier data cleansing?
Hi,
As far as I know Supplier Hub has no DQ Dashboarding capability.
You could purchase Oracle Enterprise Data Quality to do this for supplier hub and any other source of data.

Oracle Data Profiling and Data Quality
Hi,
How to create metabase for Oracle Data Profiling and Data Quality.Is metabase and repository are same.Hi,
You can create a metabase in the Metabase Manager:
- Expand Control Admin
- Click on Metabases
- in the Metabases window, right-click on the white area and select Add...
- go through the wizard to create your metabase
This is documented in the ODQ/ODP tutorial (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/oracle-data-quality/pdf/oracledq_tutorial.pdf) and in the Documentation (in Metabase Manager or Oracle Data Quality go to Help and then Manuals).
Thanks,

Error while creating data source using Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g
Hi,
I have deployed my web application developed on OC4J 9.0.4 stand alone (Win2K) to an integrated OC4J version(Solaris) using Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g.
However, I get an error when I try to create a data source.
The data source I want to create would have the following parameters (as seen in data-sources.xml on the stand alone version):
<data-source
class="com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource"
name="TestDS"
location="jdbc/OracleCoreDS"
xa-location="jdbc/xa/OracleXADS"
ejb-location="jdbc/TestDS"
connection-driver="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@hostName:1521:test"
username="user"
password="password"
min-connections="5"
max-connections="20"
inactivity-timeout="30"
/>
When I entered the above data on the Enterprise Manager Data Sources page, I got the following error:
quote:
Error saving Data Source Properties. - Entity et="system";ei="0",et="application";ei="48",et="data-sources";ei="167":child:data-sourcechild key:location:jdbc/OracleCoreDS; class:com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource; already exists in the repository. Resolution: Please check the code base.
unquote:
Could somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong ?
I tried to manually edit the data-sources.xml file but the data source didn't show up on the Enterprise Manager.
I'm using a new OC4J instance (on the Solaris machine) for my applications. Is the data source error related to this?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
ShyamThanks for your reply , Steve.
I noticed that there is a default datasouce on the EM with the following parameters:
<data-source
class="com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource"
name="OracleDS"
location="jdbc/OracleCoreDS"
xa-location="jdbc/xa/OracleXADS"
ejb-location="jdbc/OracleDS"
connection-driver="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
username="scott"
password="->pwForScott"
url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:oracle"
inactivity-timeout="30"
/>
The location and xa-location attributes that I use for my "test" data source are the same as the default one. So, could this be the issue?
What should be the values for location and xa-location attributes from my "test" data source?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Oracle Data Quality: how to load fixed file
Hello to all,
I need to load several fixed files in Oracle Data Quality.
As far as I understand from the documentation, I think I need to use a "Cobol" Loader Connection, so I created one and put all my files under the "Data directory".
I don't know what I need to put under "Schema directory".
Then I tried to create an entity from my Cobol Connection, and no entity is listed.
I have also some problems with the docs, because the pages about Cobol Copybook/Fixed connection, etc. seems missing from the documentation I find around.
I followed the tutorial and I think this is a really interesting product, and I need to test it on fixed file as soon as possible.
Thank you,
AndreaHi Andrea,
In your Cobol Loader, you need to define the cobol file extensions (eg. cbl) under data extensions field. Then restart the ODQ GUI and the entities should appear.
The documentation bugs you face will be ironed out in the next release.
Do tell me if this helps -
Will Oracle ever create a Data Guard certification?
Will Oracle ever create a Data Guard Certification?
If so would it be more of a "HA" - high availability,
or would it be only about Active Data Guard.
ThanksWe have a Data Guard Admin certification coming soon. Unfortunately, I don't have a closer date than that.
