Report not running after moving to new environment

I have a Business View designed in a test environment and reports written against that view.
The view has been exported & imported to a production environment, with other views added to that environment.
The report has been copied across & pointed to the correct repository.
On my test environment, the report runs in 2 minutes, in production it takes more than 2 hours when run from any of the Designer, the CMS or Infoview. Volumes of data being read are similar.
Test environment server has less RAM than Production, Production has CRS installed on one server & databases on another.
The only event viewer messages are transport error: invalid object reference, but these occur on both servers on running. There is nothing the any of the CRS log files
What should I be looking for to diagnose the issues? The customer need to run their year end reporting, and is currently unable to do so, as the reports are timing out for their users.

The method which you used doesn't finds any info about the production database performance.
Please create a connection directly to production database from test environment and then test it. This confirms prod database performance efficiency.
Regarding tracing, if you use ODBC connection, we can do the tracing.
Here is the tracing method for ODBC connection ( in windows) --- Control panel --> Data sources (odbc) --> Tracing --> define the "Log file path" where the trace log will be stored --> click button "Start Tracing Now". ... This you could do this in the production BO server environment .
Please make sure that, you should stop the tracing option again in the same way. Or else it could slow down the performance.
And I donot know enabling tracing for SQLOLEDB connection.

plz...Need not to say like that, I am just trying to help you. I believe if you are new try to read and understand the documents and process. Please start with Oracle Alert User's Guide to create a alert and send notification.
I do not have any ready made scenario, I can refer you the documents to do the same,

my iphone 3gs which is not associated with this accunt is not activating after updating the sof tware, it connects to i tunes but i tunes says "we arh your unable to continue with your activation at this time, please try again later or contact customer care". my iphone aslo just says it cannot be activated or something like that every time i try. i have been waiting for 4 hours now but it still hasnt worked. how can i uninstal this update and go back to my old version which ws ios 4.1 or or ios 4,3. i dont even know what version it updated to, im assuming it is ios5 but not sure. it says try connecting to i tunes as well but it is connected and i tunes cant activate it either. my phone is connect to a wifi but it stll says no service.
i will really appreciate some help.

Where did you acquire this iPhone?
What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

You can only purchase apps and other media for the county's sore in which yu are located. You account, included payment method, also must be associated with that country.
Sam applies for updating apps. Note that not all apps are available in all country so y will not be able to update an app if you are in another country and that app is not available in that country or your account is not associated with that country.

The servers are getting slammed. Bunch of people trying to download iOS7 at the same time.
There is a chance activation servers might be down/slow for now. Just keep trying throughout the day. Some other forum users are experieincing similar things.

Oracle Periodic Alert -Not sending Email Notifications

Hi,
I configured a periodic alert in my test and development instances. I had a SQL Query in Select Statement. When I verified the SQL Statement Oracle Alert successfully parses the SQL Statement . When I run it rows are getting selected. I defned Actions, Action Set, Action Set Details, Action Details. In the Actions Tab---> Action Details I listed out the persons to whom Mail needs to be send.
I checked the below ones...
Notification Mailer is Up
Periodic Alert Scheduler is Activated
But the notified persons are not recieving mails.
I has one more question
Is that if the Select Statement after parsing doesnt return any rows... Alert will not be triggered. if it returns 0 rows.
What else needs to be checked.. Let me know if you can sort it out...

What is your ATG patchset level? If you are on ATG RUP4 or above, then please confirm that Oracle Workflow is configured and working properly with no issues -- Check the Workflow log file for any errors.
Is the issue with all alerts or specific ones only? Can you reproduce the issue with all end-users for the same alert or with specific users only?

Error 109 : MaxL api instance is not Active after installing excel add-in

Hello Gurus
I am getting error Error 109 : MaxL api instance is not Active while expanding essbase server in EAS console.
I am using EPM 11.1.2.1 on Windows server 2008 x64 with MS Office 2007 x32
EAS was working properly before installing Excel Add-in,
What i did is
1. I first installed excel add-in and when I clicked on connect Log-in screen didn't appears.
2. Then I reinstalled excel add-in and it started working properly and EAS was also working fine.
3. But after restarting VM, EAS is not working, it is giving error like "Error 109 : MaxL api instance is not Active"
4. I also searched on OTN for EAS issue and checked following environment variables
ESSBASEPATH : C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\ExcelAddin
ESSLANG : English_UnitedStates.Latin1@Binary
5. And also tried reinstalling EAS
Any help will be highly appreciated.

I had the same problem, after add-in 's installation on epm 11.121
Without solution, I was forced to uninstall all epm and reintsall.
Is there another method to solve this problem ?

Test an Oracle Event Alert in a Dev instance - email notification disabled

Hi All,
My client is on Oracle 11.5.10.2 and I have a requirement to develop an Event Alert. Problem is, in our development instance, client has disabled the email notification functionality, so I am really not able to check if the alert is sent/received and the format of the alert being sent. I checked the trigger on the table on which the event alert is created and confirmed that the trigger is created and also confirmed that on updating on the table from the form - a concurrent program '<table_name> (Check Event Alert)' is getting called by passing the table name and the ROWID of the row that got updated. Now, is there anyway I can check if the alert is working correctly?

The reason that the email notification is disabled is, the dev instance is a copy of prod and there are a bunch of notifications being sent to multilple people in PROD, so enabling email notification in DEV would create problems as it would sent notifications to people which is not intended.The work around would be little tricky but if you think you can give a try.
Step 1. Disable all the workflow related email notifications

Transfer structure not active after runing RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL

Hi BW Experts,
we are having a migration and just after migration we are finding the the transfer structure is not active. Hence in order to activate the same we ran <b>RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL</b> program but still in the job log finding some problems like <b>0BP_RELTYPES_TEXT</b> is not available in source system. Kindly help in this regard since this is a critical issue and we are not able to run our daily loads because of this.
Can any one also tell me if it is a migration problem?

This is the First time ur loading data from that system, If yes u need to do full extraction steps like transfer data source in RSA5 ..etc.
After that u need to replicate those DS from their respective sources systems in BW.
After doing those all actions, then u need to run the program 'RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL'.
If u have multiple TS to be activated from one source system ---> u can enter Source system name and put * in Info source column after executing the program, it will activate all transfer structures which are linked to that source system at a time.

Multiple series alert functionality is available in SP 4. Use Combination cart for multiple series. You will get that option for sure.
I am using it.
My suggestion is, you download SP4 and then continue your development.
as you said you are using Fix Pack 3.5.

i have tried updating my iphone to os5.1 it did not , now after restoring it is trying to activate, it does not activate on wi fi & is not giving me the option of itunes, pls help

There are several possibilities:
Your firewall or antivirus is blocking access to Apple's activation servers - try disabling them
The phone has been hacked, unlocked or jailbroken - If so, there is no solution
The computer you are using has a corrupt winsock (if Windows). Open a command prompt window with Administrator privileges and type: netsh winsock reset, then reboot
The hosts database on your computer is corrupted. Open it with a text editor and delete any lines that contain gs.apple.com, then save it (you must do this as Administrator or with root privileges if you have a Mac)
Location of hosts database:
Mac: /etc/hosts
Windows: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Acrobat X kept saying "is not activated" after first print (PDF)

Purchased Software: Master Suite CS6
Problematic Software: Acrobat X Pro
Symptom: Can not print as PDF after one print, to print more, I'll have to reboot the computer. This has been an ancient problem. Everytime it acts like that, I'll have to reinstall and it will works for a while, but whenever there is an update, This error will come back.
