Oracle Financial 11i

Where can I download a trial version of Oracle Financials.

Can you provide me with sample test scripts they may have used for upgrading to Oracle Financials 11i? Need sample scripts for AP, AR, GL, Order Management, Inv, and FA. Looking for good test scenarios for testing these modules. Appreciate any help. Email at [email protected]

Need help -- Oracle Financial 11i vs r12 (Oracle Payable and Oracl Payment)

Dear all
I'm newbie in Oracle Application and request for your help to answer my questions.
Background:
Three years ago, my company was planning to implement ERP Oracle Financials.
To facilitate the plan, an open bidding was established to find the best implementing company with affordable price.
The bidding document was created when Oracle Financials was 11i.
When the contract was signed 2 years ago, by my company and the winning company, it is mentioned that the version installed must be the latest one.
At the response to requirements, the winning company stated that the payment activity will be facilitated by Oracle Payable.
Now, the project is going on and the Oracle has the r.12 version.
Problem:
At 11i, there was only one module related to payment activities, i.e. Oracle Payable.
At r.12, Oracle has a new modul, i.e. Oracle Payment, which was subdomain of Oracle Payable.
Question:
1. Is my opinion about the relationship between Oracle Payable and Oracle Payment above correct?
2. Does my company has its right to ask for Oracle Payment in the installation?
3. If the answer to number 2 is yes, what is the base for it?

Oracle Payments is an upgrade version of Oracle iPayments of 11i and this module is expected to serve Self service modules. But Payment Batches which is part of Oracle Payables has been moved to Oracle Payments.
You can very well ask them to implement Payment Batches (Processes relating to Funds Disbursement) but not the entire module.
Please let me know if you require further info.

R12 Oracle Financial Forms and JRE 1.7

After updating to JRE 1.7 Update 17, the Oracle Financial Forms like the Oracle Payable Workbench, Oracle Purchase Orders, Oracle Receivable Transactions will not open. Has anybody else run into this issue?

Do not use any directory name which contains spaces (i.e. F:\Uninstall Oracle Financial). Change the directory name to be (F:\Stage11i), clean up your previous installation and start over again.
The same thing is applicable to (VC++, MKS, Cygwin ..etc)
It should work then.

i am having Error while clonning Oracle app 11i on windows 2003 sp1 32 bit db 9.2.0.6.0
when running adcfgclone.pl dbTier it successfully runs uptill 70% at this stage it throws the below error

Dear Hussein / helios ,
it worked finally i gave a high number 76 and it worked with out any problem also this time i gave loop back adapter an ip address i just remember now that i was not giving an ip to my loop back adapter i gave as below
ip : 10.10.10.10
subnet : 255.255.255.0
and made my host file look like as
127.0.0.1 localhost
10.10.10.10 hassan.com hassan
then i tested the ping by pinging hassan.com and the reply came from 10.10.10.10
and also i disabled my wireless network card before running adcfgclone
and it worked ALLHAMDOLLILAH :)

Error while installing Oracle Applications 11i on Windows XP Home

Hi friends,
I am a functional consultant and trying to install oracle apps 11i on my home pc for learning purpose (I made a fresh install of windows for this purpose). I strictly followed the instructions given in following article:

Step1 and Step2 complete successfully to 100%, however just before moving to Step3 it gives error: "RW-50004: Error code received when running external process.".
